Gartner’s Market Guide For Strategy Execution

Gartner’s recent market guide on Strategy Execution Management Software advises that any PPM leader interested in driving business transformation invest in tools to help them more effectively manage strategy execution. So what does that mean?
Gartner asserts that strategy execution management requires a solution that focuses on “supporting the dynamic portfolio management needs of business strategists, steering committees, strategy realization offices (SROs) and enterprise portfolio management offices ( EPMOs ).” That echoes insight UMT360 shared in a recent whitepaper , which stated, “with today’s focus on rapid business transformation, portfolio management has never been more important.”
Gartner’s guide goes on to explore which features they consider essential, along with an analysis of the current market for these solutions and a list of vendors that “strive to articulate a value proposition focused clearly on capturing strategic intent and goals, and aligning those elements to courses of action and change initiatives to ensure strategy-to-execution alignment.”
