Review: ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ betters its predecessor in every department
- Release Date: 14/04/2022
- Cast: Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj, Achyuth Kumar
- Director: Prashanth Neel
KGF: Chapter 2 begins exactly where Chapter 1 had left off. Rocky (Yash) has killed Garuda and has taken control of the Kolar Gold Fields (KGF). The conspirators who had sent him to kill Garuda are taken aback by this sudden change of fate and decide to eliminate Rocky. However, Rocky proves to be equal to the task and easily subdues them with his swag and muscle power. In desperation, the conspirators turn to Adheera (Sanjay Dutt), a vicious and brutal killer who was presumed dead and has a legitimate claim to the throne of KGF. He makes a towering comeback and nearly brings Rocky to his knees. What is left to be seen is how Rocky responds. He has a history of hitting back the hardest when pushed to the wall. Will he do the same again or will Adheera prove to be too strong for him to contend with. To know the answers to those questions, you have to watch the film at a theatre near you.
Elaborate story, engaging screenplay, and effective direction
KGF: Chapter 2 is relentless in its storytelling. For a film that is 168 minutes long, there isn’t a single dull moment. The speed of the narrative remains consistently breakneck but does give the viewers enough time to absorb the content on display. I thought that the pacing might come down a little in the second half as is customary with most films but that never happened. The story is so dense and has so many elements, twists, and underlying emotions and drama that I would not be wrong to say that it has enough material to propel three films.
Prashanth Neel’s direction is masterful. Every sequence feels like a short film in itself as it begins slowly, gathers momentum, and reaches a crescendo by the time it arrives at its culmination and ends with the desired release of the tension and excitement for the audience. This aspect of the film is common for all the sequences be it simple exchanges, dramatic show-offs, or complex action sequences. The sequences are designed and executed in such a way that allows the visual and auditory presentation to milk the last ounce of machismo from the protagonist and the many antagonists. The result is a film that will give you a thousand reasons to cheer in its runtime.
Yash’s performance as the protagonist
It is needless to mention that KGF is a Yash show from start to finish. This wouldn’t be the film that it is if it was anything else. This is the story of a man who rose from nothing to have his hands on the greatest wealth in the world and he is able to hold on to it because of his bravado, sharp intellect, and ability to look into the future and predict what it holds for him. Yash is able to embody and express these key elements of the character with clinical ease. The fact that he had very little exposure in the Hindi heartland makes it even easier for someone like me to accept him for nothing else but Rocky as I have no memory of any other character that he has played before. Hence he disappears behind the character of Rocky. The man brings out every aspect of the character with such power and vigour that it becomes very easy to even accept some of the more outrageous feats that the character is shown pulling off. Having said that, Prashanth Neel does really well to maintain the action and vulnerability of Rocky to a level that is most acceptable. This in turn adds even more character and inspirational quality to the action sequences and Yash’s overall essay.
Sanjay Dutt’s performance as the fierce and maniacal Adheera
From the time, Sanjay Dutt was cast as Adheera, many felt that the part should have been done by someone from the South Indian Film industry. I was thrilled to witness Sanjay Dutt turn in an absolutely brilliant and maniacal performance as a villain who enjoys carnage more than anything else. Many critiqued the Viking-like outfit that the man was shown wearing in the promos and even that aspect of the character is taken care of in the film with just one line of dialogue. Sanjay has the physicality and mannerisms to sell the character of Adheera. He successfully renders the things that Adheera is shown doing believable with emphatic ease. From the moment he arrives on screen, he steals the thunder momentarily from Yash and that I believe was an almost impossible thing to do in a film like this. For that and everything else, I loved Sanjay Dutt’s essay.
Raveena Tandon’s performance as the hard as nail Prime Minister
Raveena Tandon comes in very late but even after that, she leaves an impact. For a brief moment, I thought that she might go overboard with her dialogue delivery as that has been the case in many realistic films where she has been asked to play a powerful character. In a scene or two, my fears did come true but then Prashanth Neel’s stellar direction stepped in and her dialogue delivery was toned down to feel more realistic and impactful. Her performance immediately got better and so did the character that has an important part to play in Rocky’s story.
Srinidhi Shetty as Reena is not even addressed with her name in the film
Srinidhi Shetty is wasted in a role that could have been done by anyone. While she had some say in KGF Chapter 1 , she is reduced to a glorified doll that Rocky plucks out and places in his palatial villa to entertain and amuse him in Chapter 2 . Rocky expresses these very feelings to her and after being his captive for a few years; she finally gives in to his will and falls in love with him. This portion of the film was so regressive and written with such contempt and so little idea of how women live and are that it made me think whether it was written by the same people who wrote the rest of the film. Shetty doesn’t even have proper dialogues apart from one-line questions. Her character is the weakest in the film and Srinidhi cannot be blamed for that as the character is written so poorly.
Cinematography, editing, and background score
The technicalities of KGF: Chapter 2 takes it to the next level. It feels grander and crazier because of how the film is shot, edited, and scored. The cinematography by Bhuvan Gowda reminds us of everything that we loved about Chapter 1 but gives us frames and sequences from time to time that reminds us that we are watching a grander and lot more imaginative film than its predecessor. The mood of every scene is beautifully captured and conveyed by the temperamental lighting and the imaginative camera angles and movements used to capture the character in their natural environment. I loved how the action sequences are shot. While there was some overuse of slow-motion shots, it never got too pronounced to turn into a problem. There is one chase sequence in the film that reminded me of the high octane chase sequences from some of the iconic Hollywood films. How Gowda captures Rocky elevates the man to a God-like creature. Gowda’s camera work documents the reverence of the man for the protagonist and how inspired he was by the character.
19 years old Ujwal Kulkarni who made a fan edit of the son, “Sidila Bharava” is the official editor for KGF: Chapter 2 . He has proved what a passionate man can achieve when he puts his heart and soul into doing what he loves. The entire film, as well as the individual sequences, feel like a countdown to a crescendo and it is achieved by combining the story elements, the performances, the background score, the cinematography, and the editing. The editing here is the most important aspect of it all. Be it the action sequences, the dramatic exchanges, or even the simple expository sequences, Kulkarni edits it all with a sense of urgency and cuts to the beats in the background score. This ensures that the people can actually swing with the score and know when the next cut will come. This may not be something that the audiences will notice but at a subconscious level, this style of editing makes the proceedings not only easy to follow but ensures they are memorable.
A lot has been said about the background score of the film. Some believe that it is the single most identifiable aspect of the two films after Yash. Some hated it and believed that it was an overkill telling the audiences how to feel and was so loud in certain moments that the audiences couldn’t hear some of the dialogues. I loved the background score of KGF: Chapter 1 and still listen to it on the loop during my long walks. The background score here was not even close to what Chapter 1 achieved but was good enough to elevate certain sequences. I felt that the inspirational quality of the score of Chapter 1 was missing. It wasn’t even memorable. The songs were weak too. Apart from Toofan, none of the other songs made any impact.
Final thoughts
A film like KGF: Chapter 2 was bound to click with the audience. It is that perennial rag to riches story that has enthralled viewers and fired up their imaginations across generations for ages. It has the right balance of hero moments, storytelling tropes done right, and just enough twists and turns and emotional weight behind its story. It will appeal to different strata of the audiences at different levels and still give everyone something or the other to enjoy even if he or she is not in love with the film as a whole. The ones looking for entertainment will be overwhelmed. The ones looking for extensive storytelling will be impressed. The ones looking for realism will be sparingly satisfied. The ones looking for closure to all that was started in Chapter 1 will be exasperated. For Yash, Sanjay Dutt, and Raveena Tandon fans, Chapter 2 will be like the second coming of Christ.

KGF: Chapter 2 Movie Review: Yash’s ‘Rocky’ Transitions From ‘Bhai’ To ‘Bhagwan’, But The Atheist In Me Is Also A Critic!
Prashanth neel's 'ambition' overrides his 'story-telling' and that's the biggest issue of his script..
Star Cast: Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj
Director: Prashanth Neel
What’s Good: Yash. Yash’s style. Yash’s action. And the thread that joins them all!
What’s Bad: Makers don’t ‘narrate’ the (half-baked) story, they howl in your eardrums!
Loo Break: The tracking rate of decibel/scene is so high that you’ll be forced to take one
Watch or Not?: Did you watch Chapter 1 and loved it? Give this a try as well, you may not love it as much but you’ll live through it
Available On: Theatrical Release
Runtime: 168 Minutes
Author Anand Vasiraju’s son Vijayendra (Prakash Raj) continues to tell the infamous Rocky’s ( Yash ) tale to a news-channel editor starting from where it all ended in the first chapter. In his story, we see how Rocky, from ‘bhai’, has now transitioned into ‘bhagwan’ for people around him. Now that he has killed Garuda, it’s Adheera (Sanjay Dutt) and his army who returns to find and kill Rocky.
Adheera isn’t the only obstacle for Rocky to cross but he now is on the radar of India’s Prime Minister Ramika Sen (Raveena Tandon). While Rocky somehow dodges Adheera, it’s the Government that comes in his way of becoming the ‘CEO of India’ (in his own words). In this triple threat match, will there be just one winner? Well, put some cotton in your ears and sit back to know!
KGF: Chapter 2 Movie Review: Script Analysis
Prashanth Neel’s ‘ambition’ overrides his ‘story-telling’ and that’s the biggest issue of his script. Everything looks extremely cool visually, but the whole argument behind making things cool is weak. It comes with some similar issues as chapter 1 like why is everyone talking so loud with everyone? I wanted to keep a track of how long any scene could be silent but it was so loud, I couldn’t concentrate.
Just to clarify, I don’t mind loudness in films, I’ve loved movies like Master, Rowdy Rathore, Dabangg and likes. But, this one doesn’t just leave your mind numb, but it does the same thing with your ears as well.
Side Bar: A scene censors the word ‘democracy’ changing it to ‘demography’, and I couldn’t help but wonder about the irony of what a democratic society we’re living in.
Bhuvan Gowda’s camerawork elevates the already monumentally mounted action sequences, to a level that’s almost unseen in the Indian film industry. Yash’s car chase sequence with ‘play & pause’ transitions remains the best highlight of the film owing to its breathtaking cinematography and well-synchronised background score by Ravi Basrur.
But the same Class-A cinematography goes against the feel of the film when it rushes from one place to another in Yash & Sanjay’s combat scenes because as the film’s story, nothing is clear enough to understand anything.
KGF: Chapter 2 Movie Review: Star Performance
Chapter 1 was enough to register why there could be no one else apart from Yash to get the machismo of Rocky with such accuracy & swag. Chapter 2 just strengthens the similar thought further by transitioning him from ‘bhai to bhagwan’. Makers make sure to keep Rocky bhai on the pedestal boasting his high-octane presence in every alternate scene. The way he delivers his self-written dialogues, one can’t help but listen to him (even if that doesn’t interest you).
Srinidhi Shetty gets too little to contribute to the narrative, plus she gets a song (Mehbooba) that clutters the second half without any solid explanation. Sanjay Dutt was expected to repeat Kancha Cheena from Agneepath but due to the story’s myopic treatment, he doesn’t get a single chance (apart from his introduction sequence) to register any intrigue.
Raveena Tandon’s PM remains one-dimensional throughout the film without creating any major impact. Prakash Raj is reduced down to be a mere narrator, adding nothing apart from his voice.
KGF: Chapter 2 Movie Review: Direction, Music
Prashanth Neel, like every other director working with ‘worshipped by fans’ star, gives in to the fan service losing his focus from what should’ve been a raw & earthy treatment of the story. The film celebrates Yash not once or twice but in every scene, he is in, it’s just Prashanth fails to find equally interesting reasons to do so for most of such instances.
Ravi Basrur’s background score serves in a huge spectrum from too loud to too trippy. Just like every other thing, even the BGM of this film is on steroids complimenting a few sequences, burdening others. Not a single song is going to remain in my playlist after the film, but the problem is they aren’t even situational.
KGF: Chapter 2 Movie Review: The Last Word
All said and done, this jumps from ‘larger than life’ to ‘larger than god’ treatment, and gives Yash fans another reason to celebrate his heroism. But beneath all the screams and boisterous BGM, one important thing gets suppressed and rarely gets a chance to flourish – intriguing storytelling.
Two and a half stars!

KGF Chapter 2 Review: Yash Struts Through Battering Ram Of A Movie With Undisguised Glee
Kgf chapter 2 review: relentless is its pursuit of high drama and unbridled action - one scene follows another in a non-stop exhibition of cinematic excess..
A still from KGF: Chapter 2
Cast: Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj, Anant Nag
Director: Prashanth Neel
Ratings: 2 Stars (Out of 5)
About the only good thing about K.G.F. Chapter 2 is that you know what you are buying into. Chapter 1 had driven home the point that Raja Krishnappa Beria, better known as Rocky, isn't an ordinary gangster. He does not have a gang with him. He is a lone wolf with the appetite of one. He is just the sort of protagonist you would expect in a film such as this. Everything that it conceives is rendered in gigantic, sweeping doses.
Lead actor revelled Yash in playing a hero with the power of a battalion - an act that catapulted him and the movie into the national consciousness. In the second instalment of the story, having established his individual suzerainty over the Kolar Gold Fields, the protagonist continues to hurtle down the same path, sweeping aside everyone and anyone who stands in his way. He tightens his stranglehold on El Dorado. The film gasps for breath.
K.G.F. Chapter 1 was a humongous hit all right, but cinematically it was a terribly pedestrian affair - loud, verbose, manic and monotonous. K.G.F. Chapter 2 , written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Hombale Films' Vijay Kiragandur, exudes confidence that it has nothing to lose. It doesn't lower either its volume or its volubility one bit.
The film is the handiwork of people who do not seem to have the foggiest sense of modulation, or of moderation, in the matter of pitching and sound design. Relentless action, an unstoppable torrent of words, a splotchy and grainy colour palette and dizzyingly fidgety camerawork get in the way of the story acquiring any degree of tonal variation.
Indeed, K.G.F. Chapter 2 is one uninterrupted, ear-splitting drone that lasts all of three hours. If your brain survives the onslaught, chances of your eardrums remaining unscathed are slim. The film allows itself absolutely no breathing space either in terms of pacing or with regard to what it piles up on the soundtrack.
In this toxically macho world, women are the worst sufferers. They, like the heroine Reena Desai (Srinidhi Shetty), either stand by and do the bidding of the men - Rocky announces right at the outset to the girl's face that "you are my entertainment" and that is meant to sound cool - or haplessly wail and rant in hope of being rescued from their plight.
By way of facile tokenism, there is much ado about a girl child in Narachi who hasn't been killed at birth. The older women in the goldmine region once lorded over by ruthless tyrants and now in the control of the benign hero - a marginally better version of the guys he has snatched power from - perpetually have their backs to the wall.
K.G.F. Chapter 2 opens with the death of veteran journalist and writer Anand Ingalagi (so, Anant Nag has no role here). His narration about the rise and rise of Rocky, an orphan boy who cut his death in the merciless underworld of Bombay, is left incomplete. Deepa Hegde (Malavika Avinash), the TV station boss, wonders who will take the story to its (il)logical end.
Anand Ingalagi's estranged son Vijayendra (Prakash Raj), who has no reason to mourn the passing of his dad but cannot resist the urge to continue what the deceased raconteur, the author of a banned book on the Kolar Gold Fields and Rocky's role in its history, started.
The device of an all-knowing sutradhar leads to the film's rare pauses (not silence, mind you), thanks to Prakash Raj's ability to modulate his dialogue delivery and lend a certain gravitas to meaningless lines like "history says that powerful people come from powerful places".
Everyone else in K.G.F. Chapter yelps and shrieks. One of them contradicts Vijayendra's and asserts that it is powerful people who make places powerful. That is the apogee of the philosophical wisdom that this mass entertainer peddles.
Of course, for good measure, Rocky, sounding like Gordon Gekko, intones that greed is good, greed is progress. The film's idea of plot progression is pitting the hero against a whole lot of people who are ambitious and aggressive as him. So, there is no dearth of conflict in K.G.F Chapter 2.
With the background score intent on squashing any possibility of serenity, the film gallops like a runaway horse with Yash ('Rocking Star' is prefixed to his name in the opening credits) firmly on its back. The men who once swore allegiance to Garuda (Ramachandra Raju), the Narachi Limestone Corporation owner's ambitious son who lost his life at the hands of Rocky in the preceding chapter, are now his rivals.
But Rocky leaves nobody in any doubt at all about his resolve to call the shots in KGF here on. But the evil politician Guru Pandian (Achyuth Kumar), the heroine's father Rajendra Desai (Lakki Lakshman) and Andrews (B.S. Avinash) aren't the only ones Rocky has to reckon with as he transforms himself from a brigand in pursuit of glory to a leader of the downtrodden goldmine workers.
Adheera (Sanjay Dutt, evoking his Agneepath arch-villain vibes and pulling out the stops) returns from the dead, the new Prime Minister Ramika Sen (Raveena Tandon) vows to demolish the KGF empire, and senior CBI officer Kanneganti Raghavan (Rao Ramesh) gathers all the ammunition that he and his outfit need to end the reign of the country's most notorious criminal.
K.G.F. Chapter 2 is relentless is its pursuit of high drama and unbridled action - one scene follows another in a non-stop exhibition of cinematic excess that prevents the niceties of the medium finding their way into the messy, massy mix.
Promoted Listen to the latest songs, only on JioSaavn.com
The focus of the film is squarely on Yash. Like he did the first time around, he struts through K.G.F. Chapter 2 with the undisguised glee of a man who knows that he has the measure of his adversaries. Ultimately, the big action sequences, mounted with flair but sans any element of surprise or realism, look and feel mechanical because we know all along no great harm is going to befall the hero.
K.G.F. Chapter 2 is a battering ram of a movie. It is designed to pound the audience to submission. It is only for Yash fans and for those who feel an assault on the senses is a form of cinema. But if you love your eardrums and have had your fill of the super-heroic exploits of an underdog-turned-top dog hero, K.G.F. Chapter is best avoided. It whips up plenty of heat and dust but yields no gold.

Yash's 'KGF Chapter 2' movie review: Rocky bhai's machismo thrills throughout
Director Prashant Neel's magnum opus sequel of 'KGF Chapter 1' is all set to fight it out at the box office with Thalapathy Vijay's 'Beast'.
Indeed, the two movies have similarities and the most obvious being the heroes who can withstand the onslaught of an army alone.
With rocking star Yash in the lead, the second KGF franchise can be credited with the achievement of giving Kannada cinema a pan-India recognition.

Though critics had torn apart the first part of the film in reviews for poor editing and lack of substance, its box office performance had proven that director Neel's choices connected well with his audience.
'Chapter 2' is all about elevating the mass appeal achieved by the first part to the next level.
The plot is rather simple, Garuda is dead and Rocky (Yash) now has to face the challenges posed by the people who sent him to KGF, Adheera (Sanjay Dutt) and a powerful politician Ramika Sen (played by Raveena Tandon).
If Ramachandra Raju as Garuda seemed to be a strong villain in the first part, then you should see Sanjay Dutt in the second one. It might seem far stretched to portray him as a Viking-style warrior, but he pulls it off easily.
There is a tale about Adheera's sword and the blood it has seen in the past, but in the movie, it doesn't get to see much blood as Rocky has to divide his time between other enemies as well.
The character of Ramika Sen is clearly modelled after Indira Gandhi and the fabulous Raveena Tandon fits into the role perfectly, commanding the respect a prime minister deserves.
Ravi Basrur's music and background score was one factor that took the first part to people's hearts and chapter 2 also does the same magic. The 'Toofan' song gives a quick recap of the events from 'KGF Chapter 1'.
If the previous story was narrated by a journalist Anand (Anand Nag), this time his son Vijayendra (Prakash Raj) continues the task.
Also, similar to the first part, a lot of time is spent by Yash praising his own character and other characters are also allotted much time to hail Rocky's valour. While mothers and children are comfortable sharing time with Rocky bhai, others shudder in fear.
It is said that human life is not valued much in India because of the huge population, in 'KGF Chapter 2,' this is literally true as there are always more people to die. Just when you think that all the people supporting Yash in different cities of India have been killed, it is revealed that he had a reserve army of people in all those cities who would again rise to kill his enemies.
Yes, different cities in India. The scale of the movie is huge and it is not the story of a local gangster, but in Rocky's own words a “monster” who “owns India” or maybe even the world.
Rocky's love for Reena (Srinidhi Shetty) was revealed in the first part and you would have thought she too had the same feeling for him. But in the beginning of the movie itself, she is brought to 'Naraachi' as a captive and kept as an “entertainment” for Rocky. What happens next is somewhat like the way Raavan keeps Sita in 'Ramayana.' He treats her like queen and waits for her approval to marry. Unlike in Ramayana, Reena falls for Rocky after coming to know about his past and the reason for his never-ending greed for gold.
The stunts in 'KGF' were the best part of it, however, a chase sequence could have been portrayed better without the blackout pattern in editing. It had all the potential to be made like a 'Fast and Furious' chase scene. Cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda's frames are worth the big screen and though largely grey and black, the colours come into play when Rocky's swag needs it.
There is a lot of violence and also lots and lots of whistle-worthy moments in the film. If you love watching action thrillers with mass dialogues, this movie is for you. There is also a hint of a third chapter. So watch out for that as well.

Movie Review| KGF: Chapter 2 is an explosive sequel powered by a terrific Yash
Four years ago, the makers of KGF: Chapter 1 made a promise to take Kannada cinema to new regions and audiences. They are now back with KGF: Chapter 2, and it’s fair to say that the promise has been kept. Written and directed by Prashanth Neel, the KGF films have appealed to the entire nation’s consciousness and reinvented the time-tested story of an underdog’s triumph against all odds. When the underdog is the seemingly invincible Rocky Bhai (Yash), every element of the masala template is dialled up to astronomical levels.
The second part resumes from where the first part ends. We now see the “pillars” of Narachi being forced to accept Rocky as their new boss. Of course, this leads to resentment across the board, and it is clear that betrayals will hit our protagonist left, right, and centre. But KGF isn’t about plot ingenuity; it’s about inventive filmmaking. Every time we think that a high point of a particular conflict has been reached, Prashanth Neel zooms out to show that it’s all just the tip of an iceberg.
This happens on more than one occasion and stands testament to some great writing. Where in another film the meeting of Adheera and Rocky might have been shown as the ideal climactic showdown, here, we get three brilliant sequences capturing the oscillation of power, and each of these scenes delivers grandeur and intensity that the film will forever be known for. There’s also the hyper-stylised violence that was such an important part of the first film. Sure, there is a lot to discuss where the film falls on the moral spectrum, but the arresting visual style keeps analysis at bay.
The big problem is the terribly underwritten female lead. Srinidhi Shetty’s Reena suffers from a severe case of Stockholm Syndrome, and it’s hard not to feel sympathetic for why she gets relegated to the background. Even smaller roles like Easwari Rao’s character get neatly rounded arcs. The film also runs the risk of feeling bloated, especially in the pre-interval portions, when layer after layer gets packed in.
There are one too many villains and crisscrossing storylines. In fact, I wasn’t sure if the final few minutes do justice to events that have taken place over two films and eight years. However, the towering performance of Yash, rooted in nonchalance, keeps us hooked. His emotional turns, more than the playful bits, are more effective, and his enraged eyes say way more than his trademark broken English does. The dialogues too add to the undercurrent of humour, but then, there are all these lines that could so easily be turned into motivational posters: “Greed is good… Greed is progress…”
Another writing highlight of KGF: Chapter 2 is how a buildup song also acts as a quick narration of the first part. It is ingenious and inventive. Discussing logic serves no purpose in such a film, but for what it’s worth, every actor stays true to Prashanth’s world. The technical team too steps up, conjuring mesmerising visuals to keep us invested in the world of KGF. Keeping the colour palette to a minimum, cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda gives us stunning visuals that capture the grandeur of the project without ever showboating. No aspect of the opulence feels wasted or excessive. Be it the vast expanses of the mines or the never-ending shots of vehicles including cars, planes, ships, bikes, helicopters… the imagery is glorious. Any showboating comes from the edit table of Ujwal Kulkarni.
Even here, in the over-the-top world of KGF, his work fits in just fine. Composer Ravi Basrur, art director Shivakumar, and stunt choreographers Anbariv are all in form as well. Every high moment of KGF: Chapter 2 is the collaborative work of these artists, and it is wonderful to see them all deliver.
The pan-Indian movie idea may feel like a gimmick in many films, but the KGF franchise is a true-blue example of this trend. The success of the first part has pushed the makers to dream bigger, and they have brought in names like Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Rao Ramesh, and Prakash Raj for quality and wider reach. Sanjay Dutt is menacing as Adheera, the primary antagonist, and writer-director Prashanth treats him with respect. Adheera even gets moments that place him above Rocky Bhai, and the same holds good for Raveena’s Ramika Sen as well. Both actors ace their roles.
As for Prakash Raj, Replacing Anant Nag is no easy task, and it is much credit to the writing once again that neatly brings him into the mix. The actor’s baritone brings an interesting mix of humility and pride to the narration. However, despite all these names, the film never loses focus on what it is actually about: Yash and Rocky Bhai. The relentless attempts at elevating the star gives us a fascinating film that proves once again that the world will always cherish ‘mother sentiment’ films.
At an important juncture in KGF: Chapter 2, Rocky asks his detractors to avoid pointless conversations about their territories. He adds, “The world is my territory”. If the response to this film is any indication, KGF: Chapter 2 is proof of an outsider breaking down walls to become the most unlikely pan-Indian superstar... or as he would perhaps put it, its ‘ONLY Rocking Star’.
Director: Prashanth Neel Cast: Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty Rating: 3.5/5

KGF Chapter 2 Movie Review: Yash and Sanjay Dutt steal the show in this terrific action flick
Director prashanth neel's kgf: chapter 2 starring yash, sanjay dutt and raveena tandon is a paisa-vasool action entertainer. with several goosebumps-inducing build-up scenes, the film is a worthy sequel to kgf: chapter 1..
Listen to Story
After Allu Arjun's Pushpa and SS Rajamouli's RRR, it's now time for Yash's KGF: Chapter 2 to set your screens on fire. Quite literally. The first part, KGF: Chapter 1, ended on a high note and managed to keep curiosity alive for over 3.5 years. With KGF: Chapter 2's release today (April 14), Yash and director Prashanth Neel have hit it out of the park once again.
Raja Krishnappa Bairya AKA Rocky Bhai (Yash) is now the ruler of Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) after killing Garuda. In Prakash Raj's words, Rocky has built an indestructible empire in KGF with his clever thinking and quick wit. As he plans to extend his empire, his enemies take the help of the mighty Adheera (Sanjay Dutt) to finish him. From here, it becomes a battle of machismo. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Ramika Sen (Raveena Tandon) fears the meteoric rise of Rocky Bhai. How do they tackle Rocky forms the story.
Like Baahubali, Prashanth Neel did a clever job of establishing the characters and plot in the first part. The second part, KGF: Chapter 2, shows the enemies unable to handle Rocky's rise as the messiah of the masses. The sequel has enough meat in terms of story, which comes as a huge advantage. Rocky has only one dream to fulfil and he fears no one and nothing.
Prashanth Neel's KGF: Chapter 2 is replete with 'mass' moments not just for Yash but also for Sanjay Dutt. These scenes are aplenty and come at frequent intervals only to get us hyped up for what's about to come. With Sanjay Dutt, Prashanth found a menacing villain, who has an equal weightage as the hero.
Be it Rocky's introduction sequence or the climax fight between Yash and Sanjay Dutt, every scene is stylishly shot and grasps us into the world of KGF. However, the downfall of the film is its uneven pacing. Certain sequences featuring Srinidhi Shetty and Yash's flashback sequences bog down the momentum. Hence, the overall pacing gets affected.
Yash is flamboyant as Rocky Bhai. It is safe to say that he has breathed life into the role and looks at ease when he mouths the tacky dialogues. He owns them and it totally works. Similarly, Sanjay Dutt's Adheera, who is inspired by the Vikings, strikes fear with his violent activities. Sanjay's performance, even though with less screentime, is effective. Raveena Tandon as the PM of India delivers an earnest performance.
Srinidhi Shetty's role is quite disappointing and problematic. Rocky brings her home as he considers her 'entertainment.' However, he doesn't touch her, because he believes that women and children cannot be touched without consent. Isn't it quite contradicting? Such conflicting ideas makes you question the intention of the character.
KGF: Chapter 2's stunt sequences deserve a special mention. They are grand, inventive and do not defy logic in most places. Though Yash and Sanjay Dutt are shown as two invincible men, they do get shot and hurt while pitted against each other.
Editor Ujwal Kulkarni's work is sleek in most places. However, the black-out pattern in editing spoils the overall effect in some places. Cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda and Ravi Basrur's music have elevated KGF: Chapter 2 to a different level.
KGF: Chapter 2 is an immersive sequel, which has several clap-worthy moments for the audience. The climax is cathartic and brilliantly shot. Watch out for the sequence!

KGF Chapter 2 Review: Baap of Elevation of Heroism
Movie: KGF Chapter 2 Rating: 3/5 Banner: Hombale Films Cast: Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj, Malavika Avinash, Rao Ramesh, Eshwari Rao, and others. Music: Ravi Basrur Director of Photography: Bhuvan Gowda Editor: Ujwal Kulkarni Action: Anbariv Producer: Vijay Kirangandur Written and directed by: Prashanth Neel Release Date: April 14, 2022
“KGF”, originally made in Kannada and released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam languages simultaneously, was a box-office phenomenon. The second part “KGF 2” already took the box office by storm with massive advance sales.
The pre-release buzz was on par with “Baahubali 2”. Is the second part worth all the hype? Let’s find out…
Story: ‘KGF 2’ begins with the aftermath of Garuda’s killing. Rocky Bhai (Yash) who created an army of his own in KGF becomes the most powerful man.
Meanwhile, Adheera (Sanjay Dutt) arrives to reclaim KGF. Plus, Inayat Khalil and Prime Minister Ramika Sen (RaveenaTandon) are closing in on him.
Can Rocky deal with these powerful people? What fate is in store for Rocky? Will his girlfriend Reena (Srinidhi Shetty) unite with him?
Artistes’ Performances: Yash who has got terrific swag mesmerizes us again with his style and intense performance. In the first part, he didn’t get a chance to wear designer clothes. Here, as the richest don, he wears colorful suits and grooms himself well. He oozes style in every scene. He gets dialogues that suit his mass persona. His performance is also terrific.
Sanjay Dutt as Adheera is stunning as his getup goes. His imposing personality and his demeanor have suited well to the powerful character. But his role is not that effective for the main antagonist.
Raveena Tandon steals the moments she is in. She has got her look right and has delivered a powerful performance.
Srinidhi Shetty gets a lengthier role than what she was offered earlier. Eeswari Rao makes her presence felt.
Besides Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj is the new addition to the world of KGF but didn't get a role worth talking about. Rao Ramesh has a decent role.
Technical Excellence: The action sequences are stunning. Anbriv has come up with adrenaline-rushing episodes this time as well. Ravi Basrur’s background score enhances the overall experience. The cinematography and the production design are grand. But the visual effects are not effective in certain parts.
Highlights: Yash as Rocky and his swag Prashanth Neel’s dialogue writing Elevations of heroism Background score Racy screenplay
Drawback: The emotional quotient is not strong
Analysis The first part of “KGF” ended up setting the stage for a showdown between Rocky Bhai and Adheera. In the first part, we didn’t get a full glimpse of Adheera and his face. The real story of Rocky’s rise in Kolar Gold Fields (KGF) unfolds in the second part and as we have guessed, we get to see the fight between Rocky Bhai and Adheera.
Director Prashanth Neel doesn’t waste time drawing us into the world he has created in KGF. Like in the first part, the film begins with a journalist interviewing a writer who documented the developments in the Narachi Company. In the second part, Ananth Nag’s son Prakash Raj steps in to narrate the story.
Since we have already seen the story of Rocky from being an assassin to the don of KGF, the focus of the second part is on his problems with the new batch of forces.
If we see the history of gangster movies, the ‘rise’ of a don always makes an interesting watch, but his ‘rule’ doesn’t. In “KGF 2”, Prasanth Neel has played his game well. There are issues with his narrative, but he holds our interest from start to the finish, as the film is filled with many elevating scenes. He elevates heroism to the peak.
So, the drama involving Rocky and his new batch of nemesis is not as gripping. Despite the presence of big stars like Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon pitching against Yash, the drama is not rousing enough.
Four episodes are the main highlight…
1. After Adheera defeats him, Rocky takes a step back and returns with a bang. The scene of Rocky attacking Adheera again in the backdrop of mines is visually stunning.
2. To get one biscuit of gold, he sets an entire police station on fire with a terrific mass moment (you can also see a glimpse of it in the teaser).
3. The scene of Srinidhi informing Yash about her pregnancy
4. Raveena Tandon’s Burma episode
Besides creating adrenaline-pumping sequences, Prashanth has written terrific dialogues. “Ikkade Talale Maaruthai Keereetalu Kaadu” is a fine example of his smart writing. Like in the first part, he abruptly cuts a scene and brings in a narrator-interviewer scene to further proceed the story, thus saving a lot of runtime.
Prashanth Neel mounts the film on a lavish scale and extracts the best output from his music director, cinematographer, and lead hero.
However, the film has its share of issues.
Yash entering the parliament hall with his own army is like taking illogicalness to the extreme. The mother-doctor sequence in the final moments is absurd. The Eeshwari Rao-her son’s episode is another forced drama.
Despite these minor issues and illogical sequences, Neel keeps churning out one cinematically highlighted moment after another.
On the whole, “KGF 2” is a total paisa vasool entertainer. It is a feast to the mass audiences. The film is like a baap of elevations and lives up to the hype. “KGF 2” provides entertainment and gives an immersive experience with mass moments.
Bottom line: Worth the hype

Review: ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ is visually impressive, but falters on narrative
Entertainment south indian.
This film is a sequel to the 2018 blockbuster and shows Rocky’s reign
For the uninitiated, K.G.F. stands for the Kolar Gold Fields. This film is a sequel to the 2018 released ‘K.G.F: Chapter 1’.
With its timeline stretching from 1951 to 1981 and narrated in a non-linear manner, the film takes off from where it left in the first chapter.
Anand Ingalagi, the author of the book El Dorado, suffers a stroke the night after detailing the events in Chapter 1. His son Vijaayendra Ingalagi (Prakash Raj) takes over the narration. He continues to tell us of the rise and fall of Rocky, the kingpin of Kolar Gold Fields who was considered the “Biggest Criminal” by the government of the country, the “Biggest Businessman amongst his peers, and the messiah of the downtrodden at Kolar Gold Fields.
He tells us how Rocky retained his supremacy against his adversaries and government officials while also coming to terms with his past.
The narrative takes us from Kolar to Paali to Varca, to Surat, UAE, Delhi, Banglore, and Bombay and loads us with dramatic dialogues that are amusing.
Mounted as a magnum opus the film begins in a dramatic tone, verbose and loud. Gradually you realise that the telling is its undoing. On-screen the passive narrative makes the film appear like a grand, hyper-active montage laid over a voice-over.
The action sequences along with the high-pitched sound that accompanies the visuals, make you care less for the characters. Also, the fight sequence in the climax seems like an action jamboree where one is not sure, who is fighting whom. Generally, the emotional connection is lost.
On the performance front, Yash displays a variety of emotions, from brutally ruthless and menacing to humane and a bit dumb at times he is good. But, despite his stylish, raw, and rugged look, he lacks the persona of a larger-than-life superhero or an anti-hero.
Sanjay Dutt as Rocky’s opponent Adheera makes a stronger impact with his tattooed visage and braided hairdo, unfortunately, his character is poorly written and thus appears on screen only for the action sequences.
Raveena Tandon, with her intense look, makes the formidable Prime Minister Ramika Sen appear relatable. How she means business while dealing with anti-social elements is intriguing. Unfortunately, she appears in the second half of the film, when the interest in the film wanes away.
Srinidhi Shetty, as Rocky’s love interest and later wife, Reena is sincere in her performance but is short-changed by the poorly written script.
The others in supporting roles seem to befit their characters, and they all essay their roles earnestly.
The film showcases ace technical and production values. But the VFX, at times, lacks lustre. The only good thing about this film is Bhuvan Gowda’s cinematography. He captures the picturesque locales and the emotions of the characters with precision. His frames seem like replicas of iconic masterpieces, picture-perfect and poster-worthy.
The film, despite being brilliantly edited by Ujwal Kulkarni does not seem to be seamlessly layered. There are moments where the scenes seem to be abruptly interspersed with blank screens while the audio plays in the background.
Overall, this film may appeal only to the fans of ‘K.G.F: Chapter 1’.
Don't Miss It!
Film: ‘k.g.f: chapter 2’, duration: 168 minutes, director: prashanth neel, cast: yash, sanjay dutt, srinidhi shetty, raveena tandon, anant nag, prakash raj, archana jois, ramesh indira, ramachandra raju, rao ramesh, stars: 2.5 out of 5.

- KGF Chapter 2 Movie Review: Yash Starrer Takes You On An Entertaining Ride With Whistle-worthy Dialogues
KGF Chapter 2 Movie Review: Yash starrer takes you on an entertaining ride with whistle-worthy dialogues
Yash starrer kgf: chapter 2 is bigger, more stylish and bolder than the first part. there are plenty of action set pieces that do not let the pacy narrative lose its grip on the audience. the dialogues and yash's power-packed performance are the movie's biggest strengths..
KGF: Chapter 2 stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt and Srinidhi Shetty in lead roles
- Movie Name: KGF Chapter 2
- Critics Rating: 4 / 5
- Release Date: APR 14, 2022
- Director: Prashanth Neel
- Genre: Action, period and drama
Kannada language period action-drama KGF, which was released in 2018, set in motion a mythical story about India's most notorious criminal, Rocky Bhai, at the centre of the world's biggest goldmine El Dorado. An almost God-like antihero, Rocky, played by Yash, whose on-screen presence is truly unmatched and unseen in a long time, returns on the big screen with even more swagger and fiery intensity in his eyes. Four years later, the sequel retains the same elements in storytelling that made it a blockbuster back then and more importantly a fan favourite.
KGF's story makes a seamless transition into the sequel. It is almost like Marvel's storytelling. The experience is immersive and grips the viewers from the beginning. For a refresher, the sequel devotes the opening scene to recalling KGF's hidden truth and with it, the story of greed, violence, politics and mindless bloodshed to unearth gold hidden in KGF mines. A call back helps viewers establish a connection instantly and also paves the way for Rocky-mania to unfold.
Yash's intro scene does full justice to his larger-than-life character. In a long sequence, with a thumping, orchestral background score, set in the ruins where he now rules, we see a stylish and suited up Rocky Bhai walk in against a silhouette. This is the moment where you get the hint that Yash is set to take you on a ride. He makes snappy transitions from a funny and fast-talking man to an intense one. The characterisation by director Prashanth Neel has to be praised here. In between mindless mayhem, Rocky's unpredictability becomes even more striking and effective. The audience connects with Rocky's sarcastic and serious nature with equal ease.
KGF: Chapter 2 story runs parallel in the present and the past, like the first part. Within this larger narrative scheme, the director uses more parallel editing to connect themes and keep the pace edgy. At no point in time does the story gets convoluted. Most of the characters make a return in the sequel and with them some newer ones too. However, the only way one makes a distinction between them is whether they are with or against Rocky and his empire. Such is the enigma of this character that all details get dissolved into the larger picture.
Even as the character becomes more unabashed and deadly in the sequel, Rocky's underdog story and the emotional scenes from his past life, with his mother in them, make him human and vulnerable. The connection that is established in passing flashbacks is meaningful and the feeling of loss and pain lingers on. This establishes a real bond with the character, one that goes deeper than the surface.
Sanjay Dutt plays the antagonist Adheera in the movie. His confrontation with Rocky is too intense. In solo scenes, however, Dutt fails to measure up. His character looks frail in some scenes but Dutt nevertheless does the job. Raveena Tandon as Prime Minister Ramika Sen is also against Rocky's empire. She does well with the role on her plate. The director has tried to imply that Rocky and Ramika mirror each other's grit and characteristics, but this idea does not develop fully. In comparison to Yash, Raveena and Dutt's roles make less impact. Meanwhile, Rocky and Sona's (Srinidhi Shetty) chemistry develops further in Chapter 2 but honestly, it does not really add any dimension to the movie overall.
Prashanth's direction and his vision seem like they know no bounds. He has gone bolder with KGF: Chapter 2. The imagery is metaphorical and the many twists and turns leave you gasping in excitement. Rocky's sharp dialogues will acquire a separate fan base. However, as we reach the climax, we do tend to wear out with the template storytelling. But there is enough meat to keep you on the edge and root for Rocky, one of the masses who turned into the leader of the masses.

Before delving any further, we need to recall what the first part of KGF was all about, and how it became a pan-India success. ‘KGF’, directed by Kannada filmmaker Prashanth Neel and starring the rising Kannada star Yash in the lead, narrated the story of Rocky, a son of a poverty-ridden single mother, who becomes a savior to the workforce in KGF (Kolar Gold Fields). The first part narrated his rise in KGF and ended with the killing of Garuda, the son of the Narachi company owner. When Ramika Sen takes oath as the new Prime Minister of India in 1980, Rocky becomes the most-feared don or criminal.
Until the release of KGF Chapter 1, I have not watched any of Yash or Prashanth Neel’s (Kannada) movies. I am sure the same is the case with the majority of Indian moviegoers outside Karnataka. Nevertheless, the film became a blockbuster in all regions and in all the languages it was released. Despite its familiar template of a poor youngster rising as a don, I was impressed by Neel’s screenplay, editing pattern, and Yash’s swag. The film struck a chord with the mass audiences and earned cult status.
Now, the second part, KGF: Chapter 2, is out in the theaters.
Rocky (Yash) is hoarding gold, exploring all mines in KGF. But Adheera (Sanjay Dutt) will not sit idly. He wages a war with Rocky. Initially, Adheera gets an upper hand. But Rocky being Rocky will not step back, he even goes to an extent of challenging the newly elected Prime Minister of India Ramika Sen (Raveena Tandon). Will Rocky emerge victorious in this new battle? Can he face the mighty Indian army and Prime Minister? That forms the basic plot of the second part of ‘KGF’.
As we have seen in the first part, director Prashanth Neel loves to elevate the protagonist, not just once but for every opportunity, he also reveals many flashback moments further elevating the hero. But the first part is a classic story of rise of a don, with a mother sentiment. There was a proper arc for the hero’s character. Coming to the second part, Neel has introduced another villain Adheera and other bigger forces for him to fight with. It’s a straight out battle; the progression of the hero’s character lacks dhum. The first part appealed more because he becomes a savior to people who were living like slaves in the Narachi Limestone Mining Company’s empire. The classic story of a rebel inspiring others to revolt always works. That was the beauty of ‘KGF Chapter 1’.
We all know that Rocky is invincible and clever. He is out to snatch duniya in his hands. It has already been established in the first part that such a formidable force will defeat any villain easily. So, when we get to see the same stuff of Rocky fighting with another set of villains, the excitement goes missing. We get to see more of Yash and his swag, his heroism. And more…
The film has nonstop action sequences. If there is not action episode, then there is a song or a dialoguebaazi moment. In a nutshell, Neel has focused more on mass moments, less on the content.
Moreover, Neel has little story to deal with. He also banks on powerful dialogues. In the very beginning, Yash talks about merit and denounces nepotism, an apparent dig at star kids. Such dialogues are good. But they don’t add much to the overall story.
Furthermore, logic completely goes missing. When nearly hundred men fire their machine guns at Sanjay Dutt and his gang, not a single bullet touches Dutt’s character. There is another scene where Rocky toting a gun, with his men enter the parliament hall. No security officer stalls him or his gang. When a doctor tells a mother that his son may die of pneumonia if he is not treated immediately, she delivers a lengthy dialogue for five minutes and declares that he would die as a Sulthan! Aww!!
Such crappy moments and logic less situations aside, Neel succeeds in gluing us to the screens with racy narration. The film holds our interest due to the immersive world of KGF, background score and the performance of Yash.
Yash owns the screen. He is more aggressive and more violent this time because “he doesn’t like violence but violence likes him”. The manly actor spews heroism with his demeanor in every scene. He wears flashy suits and looks handsome as well.
Sanjay Dutt as Adheera gets the menacing looks right, but his part is weak. More care seems to have been taken about his makeup than characterization. Raveena as Prime Minister is perfect. Rao Ramesh and Eeshwari Rao have done nothing new. Prakash Raj is there for the sake of commercial reasons.
Like the first part, the film has relied heavily on cinematographer Bhuvan and music composer Ravi Basrur. While Ravi lifts up the scenes with his pulsating music, the cinematography is the continuation of the first part. But the VFX is tacky. Despite the first part turning out to be such a massive hit, the makers have not spent much money on VFX. When Raveena Tandon waves at large crowds or helicopters hovering on KGF, we can clearly see how tacky the graphics are.
As a director, Prashanth Neel is good at elevating heroism. He pens dialogues that work with mass audiences.
Bottom-line: ‘KGF Chapter 2’ is high on mass elements, the elevation of heroism with Yash stealing the show with his terrific swag. It’s a crowd-pleaser. However, the film lacks emotional heft.

KGF Chapter 2 Movie Review: Yash and Sanjay Dutt Are High on Swag, Action; Give Powerful Performances
Curated By : Sonil Dedhia
Last Updated: April 14, 2022, 13:13 IST
KGF: Chapter 2 stars Yash and Sanjay Dutt in the lead.
KGF Chapter 2 movie review: Yash-starrer delivers the goods when it comes to non-stop thrills, mood, and style.
- KGF: Chapter 2
Director: Prashanth Neel
Cast: Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, and Srinidhi Shetty
The audience whooped and whistled several times while I was watching KGF: Chapter 2 in a theatre today morning. Mostly it was at something that the ‘Rocking Star’ Yash did, from chopping the goons to overthrowing some powerful people and mouthing funny lines in English. The first part, KGF: Chapter 1, ended on a high note and managed to keep curiosity alive for more than three years.
In the first part. director Prashanth Neel successfully established all the characters especially Raja Krishnappa Bairya aka Rocky Bhai whose intention was very clear that he wanted to rule ‘duniya.’ In the second part, Rocky who has won over the people of KGF now dreams big and treads a more dangerous path. While he has created an indestructible empire, there are many enemies, especially Adheera (Sanjay Dutt) who is out to finish him and take back KGF.
KGF: Chapter 2 delivers the goods when it comes to non-stop thrills, mood, and style. The action sequences (and there are plenty) are as fabulous as action can get. Yes, some of them are way over the top but that qualifies for all the whistle-worthy moments indeed. My personal favorite ones were the ones that involved good-old hand-to-hand combat in the climax between Yash and Sanjay Dutt. Be it Rocky or Adheera’s introduction sequences and even some of the other action sequences during the entire film, they are all stylishly shot.
In all fairness, it’s not just the action, it’s also the sheer style of the film which is what I call ‘all-stops pulled out entertainment.’ The makers of this film want you to suspend your sense of disbelief and just go along for the ride, which you’re absolutely willing to do, but having said the proceedings do lose steam, especially towards the more tired last leg of the film making it feel a bit overstretched.
Yash walks away with the film with his strong performance. With his character’s mannerism, style, swag, and body language, he seems to have championed every facet of the character to make it a unique and highly entertaining performance. He also manages to tickle our funny bones as he tries to speak in broken English. Giving him a tough competition is Sanjay Dutt. Playing the main antagonist, the actor is electrifying as the hardhearted, brutal Adheera and his Vikings-inspired get-up only augments the impact of his performance and adds abundantly to the evil character. Raveena Tandon as the Prime Minister is feisty and leaves a mark.
KGF: Chapter 2 is surely a game-changer, especially for those who want to make larger-than-life action films but shy away from taking that leap of faith. They will probably draw strength from the work of this team. With part one, this team broke the barriers of what otherwise gets boxed into a ‘regional film’ and took it to a pan-Indian audience, the second part elevates the entire story and takes it to next level. Prashanth raises the bar to give us an action-packed film that also makes up for a few aspects that were found wanting in part one.
For the most part, KGF: Chapter 2 doesn’t let us take our eyes off the screen. It’s designed to be a cinematic treat with some amazing action pieces, one that deserves to be watched on the big screen.

Anand Ingalgi, a renowned journalist of his times would have written a book EL DORADO on the biggest kept secret in Indian history -- KGF. The government of India would not have permitted him to publish the book for various reasons. But Deepa Hegde accidentally gets her hands on a half-burnt book and listens to half the story from Anand which is KGF Chapter 1. Before Anand could narrate the remaining, he suffers a stroke and is in hospital. Deepa finds Vijayendra Ingalgi, Anand's Son at the hospital who then narrates the remaining story from the research library of Anand Ingalgi. Why did the government burn down the copies of Anand's Book EL DORADO and not allow it to be published? Does Rocky, who at the end of KGF Chapter 1, survive? Does Rocky give a fresh ray of life to the people of KGF? Why does KGF become one of the biggest issues for the government?
