Essay on Forest in Nepal [For school and college students]

Essay on Forest in Nepal is often asked at various levels of competitive exams in Nepal. The following essay on "Forest of Nepal" is a sample essay for school and college students. We will be uploading different versions of the essay over time.

[# Sample 1]: Forests in Nepal (270 words)

A vast stretch of land covered with trees is called a forest. They are priceless gifts of nature. The presence of different kinds of trees in the forests of Nepal adds to the beauty of Nepal. Due to diverse topography, the forests differ from one region to another. The trees we find in the Terai region are not found in the hills or the mountains. So the forest in Nepal can be divided into four groups. They are tropical forest, sub-tropical forest, temperate forest, and Alpine forest.

Firstly, forests hold their own importance in our country. It is said the green forest is the wealth of Nepal. The green forest does not only make Nepal beautiful but also plays a significant role in uplifting the economic status of the country. Many tourists come to Nepal to view and enjoy the enchanting forests, which means the tourist industry is flourishing.

Secondly, the utility of forests to our country is great. They prevent floods and check soil erosion. They help to bring rainfall. They give us timber, firewood, and fodder. They provide materials to many cottage industries that give employment to a large number of people.

Finally, the forests of Nepal are the storehouses of medicinal herbs and the homes of different species of animals and birds. But unfortunately, forests are being destroyed for human settlements as a result of the growth in the population. So today’s urgency is to stop forest destruction. We must preserve our forest for us and for our future generations. Population growth has to be controlled and people must be made aware of the importance of forests.

[# Sample 2]: Forests in Nepal (258 words)

The area covered with green plants, trees, herbs, bushes, flora, and fauna is called a forest. Forests vary according to locality and climate. Only in Nepal are mountainous forests, hilly forests, and very dense forests in the Terai found.

There are many advantages to having forests. We get firewood, timber, herbs, etc. from there. We buy firewood for cooking, use wood for furniture and building materials, and use herbs as medicines to treat people suffering from minor to fatal diseases. Forests bring rain. They control floods. They provide us with oxygen to survive. They control soil erosion. They keep wild animals safe to maintain the ecosystem. We graze our cattle there to get medicinal milk. It attracts visitors. They enjoy its greenery. We earn money from them. It keeps the environment safe.

There are some disadvantages, too. Many wild animals attack visitors in the jungle. They occasionally emerge from the jungles and attack nearby villages, killing our domesticated animals and us. They occupy that area, which can be used for planting crops to feed hungry people. The agricultural growth rate of our country will increase if we cultivate that land. Despite some disadvantages, we feel that forests have many advantages. So our government should control deforestation since jungles are decreasing day by day.

Forests should not be cut down to build a dam or reservoir. Those who misuse forests must be lawfully punished. The government should ban people from entering the jungle illegally so that it can be safe not only for us but also for future generations.

Essay on the importance of forests : nepali educate.

forest essay in nepali language

M an has been cutting down forests indiscriminately and today the trend is not only to save natural forests but to create artificial ones. Deserts are made to bloom! The Imperial Valley of the Sonoran Desert in southern California has been converted into a green patch which yields crops all the year round. Forests are not to be considered merely as a direct source of wealth; they are to be considered in relation to the national economy and geography.

Forests serve many purposes. They hold together the soil and prevent or minimize soil erosion. The oxygen in the air is replenished by forests and plankton in the sea. Trees and plants, during photosynthesis, absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen. Scientists fear that if forests are destroyed indiscriminately, there will be an increase in carbon dioxide and eventually the sun's rays will become hotter, the polar caps will melt and the ocean level rise and submerge much of our land. Vegetable mound that forests supply increases the fertility of the soil. Forests influence climate. The roots suck up sub-soil water and it is expelled as moisture by foliage. Forests provide sanctuary for animals and birds. It is too he remembered that the rich and varied wild life vanishes in proportion to the forest we destroy.

Industries like paper, rayon. strawboards, matches, insulation boards and wood-panel products are dependent on forests. Indian forests are said to yield 2,500 species of wood, about 18% of which are commercially valuable. Forests are a source of essential oil and medicinal herbs. The lignin and cellulose found in wood are chemically treated to produce valuable drugs like sulfonamide and chloroform. Spruce and fir are used for making airplane and glider parts. Ash and mulberry woods are used for making many sports goods.

Governments all over the world have taken steps to conserve forests: President Franklin Roosevelt of the USA, alarmed by the massive destruction of forests by man, created a conservation corps of two million men to plant trees, dig lakes and build forest roads and in the course of ten years saved the country's forests. Today the trend is not only to save the existing forests but to create artificial ones. Israel is the classic example of a country where a desert has been converted into a garden. The success of this experiment shows that land can be reclaimed and thus increase the food supply of the world. It stands to Israel's credit that within twenty-five years it has doubled the area of its arable land.

Essay on Forest in Nepal-2022

                                     FOREST IN NEPAL

Nepal is naturally beautiful. It is rich in green wonders. There are green lushes in every part of the country. But the type of forest differs as per the climatic condition and altitude of the place. Those forests are of great advantage in many ways.

forest essay in nepali language

Green forests are the greatest wealth of Nepal. These forests provides us with timber, medicinal herbs, fodder to animals, and firewood. Moreover, they make the place beautiful supported by many wild animals. Many national parks and wild life reserves have been set up to conserve these animals that have attracted to thousands of visitors every year. Similarly, they are very useful to maintain environmental balance. They minimize the risk of weather extremes save us from flood, landslide and drought.

In the past large part of our area was covered with forest resource. It is the matter of regret that the forest area is diminishing day by day. It is because of illegal smuggling of timbers and rapid growth of population. Forest fires also destroy large part of our forest in hot dry season.

Conservation of forests is necessary. If the forests are destroyed, there will be a great problem of ecological balance. The forest and the wildlife are bound up with each

other. In fact, man is also bound up with them. If anyone of  them is disturbed, the others will be doomed. Deforestation leads to soil erosion, loss of the fertility of soil, desertification and flood. So forests must be conserved.

Forests of Nepal are very important but they are declining. As it is essential to protect forests, strict law should be made and brought into force. All people should feel themselves responsible in this regard and support the government to conserve forest resources.

Write an essay on 'The Community Forest in Nepal'. Describe how these community forests have contributed to maintain ecology in our environment.

Please help me

The Community Forest in Nepal

The Community Forest in Nepal is a unique initiative that has greatly contributed to the maintenance of ecology in our environment. These forests are managed and protected by local communities, who have the right to use the forest resources for their livelihood and cultural needs.

The concept of community forests in Nepal dates back to the 1970s, when the government recognized the importance of involving local communities in the management and protection of forests. In response to the growing demand for forest resources and the negative impact of traditional forestry practices, the government introduced the Community Forest Program in 1978.

The Community Forest Program has been a resounding success in Nepal, with more than 40% of the country's forests now being managed by local communities. These forests provide a range of benefits to the communities, including fuelwood, timber, non-timber forest products, and income from the sale of forest products. In addition, they serve as important sources of water, soil conservation, and wildlife habitat.

One of the key benefits of the Community Forest in Nepal is that it promotes the sustainable use of forest resources. Local communities have a vested interest in the long-term health of the forest, and they are therefore more likely to use the resources wisely. This is in contrast to traditional forestry practices, which often resulted in the over-exploitation of forest resources.

Another important benefit of the Community Forest in Nepal is that it empowers local communities and gives them a sense of ownership over their natural resources. This has led to an increase in community involvement in the management and protection of the forests. Local communities have also been able to negotiate better terms with the government, ensuring that they receive a fair share of the benefits from the forest.

In conclusion, the Community Forest in Nepal has made a significant contribution to the maintenance of ecology in our environment. By empowering local communities and promoting the sustainable use of forest resources, these forests have helped to preserve the natural beauty and biodiversity of Nepal.

  • Essay on The Forest of Nepal.

Nepal is rich in natural beauties, gifts, resources and wonders. The forest is one of these resources. Nepal is also a mountainous country. Most of the mountains are covered with green forests. It is the living place of animals and birds. Nowadays, it is fast being destroyed but it was completely safe in the past.              People clear the forest for various purposes. One of the most important causes of its destruction is rapid population growth. The growing population is compelled to clear the jungle for agriculture and settlement. People cut down the trees for firewood, building materials and furniture. The cattle glaziers take their domestic animals to the jungle to graze. These domestic animals eat up the newly growing plants. By the result, the new plants cannot grow up easily. The silly people set a fire in the jungle. By the result, the wild fire destroys the whole jungle very badly. The main cause of its destruction is poor public awareness. The people who are not aptly conscious and responsible cannot understand the importance and necessity of the forests.               Forest destruction invites many disasters. Some to them are drought, landslides, soil erosion, over floods, salutation of rivers and lakes, weather extremes, pollution, green-house effect, ozone layer depletion and desertification. The natural disasters as such are extremely destructive for all the living creatures. If the process of destruction of the forest is not controlled, the future will be extremely risky.     We can get many advantages from the jungle. We can preserve wild animals in the jungle. We can get firewood, timber, herbs, grass, etc, from the jungle. It helps us to purify the atmosphere and to reduce the gravity of air pollution. Underground water resources can be saved in the forest. It also helps us to balance eco-system. The problems of drought, weather extremes, landslides, etc. can be alleviated or stopped by the help of the forest. Similarly, the forest of our country attracts many tourists. We can earn foreign currency from them. The natural beauty cannot be preserved without the preservation of the forest.              Preservation of the forest proves to be crucial. In order to control the natural disasters, we have to preserve the jungle. We can preserve the forest in many ways. Firstly, we have to educate the people about the importance of the forest. By means of a forestation and reforestation, we can preserve it. The people who clear the jungle for agriculture and settlement should be discouraged to go to the jungle. By establishing many wild life reserves and national parks, we can preserve our forest. Selling of firewood and timber must be banned to preserve it .              Our forest should be preserved at any cost. The government as well s private sectors are expected to make and apply concrete plans to preserve it. It is said that preservation of the forests is our own preservation.

Is my essay writer skilled enough for my draft?

I work with the same writer every time. He knows my preferences and always delivers as promised. It’s like having a 24/7 tutor who is willing to help you no matter what. My grades improved thanks to him. That’s the story.

Our team of paper writers consists only of native speakers coming from countries such as the US or Canada. But being proficient in English isn't the only requirement we have for an essay writer. All professionals working for us have a higher degree from a top institution or are current university professors. They go through a challenging hiring process which includes a diploma check, a successful mock-task completion, and two interviews. Once the writer passes all of the above, they begin their training, and only after its successful completion do they begin taking "write an essay for me" orders.

We use cookies to make your user experience better. By staying on our website, you fully accept it. Learn more .

A standard essay helper is an expert we assign at no extra cost when your order is placed. Within minutes, after payment has been made, this type of writer takes on the job. A standard writer is the best option when you’re on a budget but the deadline isn’t burning. Within a couple of days, a new custom essay will be done for you from the ground up. Unique content, genuine research, spot-on APA/MLA formatting, and peerless grammar are guaranteed. Also, we’ll provide you with a free title page, bibliography, and plagiarism check. With a standard writer, you can count on a quality essay that will live up to all your expectations.
