Health is the biggest wealth for a human being in his/her entire lifetime. One can survive without excess money but can’t survive without good health. Health is something that we can’t buy with money but we can take care of it and we can cure it when needed with the help of the money. If a person is not having good health, he will not be able to enjoy his/her life to the fullest. Money doesn’t make a person rich and happy but good health does. Moreover, a person can’t feel complete and happy without good health.

speech on health is wealth

Good health is one of the main elements of happiness that a person needs in his/her life. We can see various people around us that are happy without having a lot of money. However, they are happy because they have good health and they enjoy their lives. We can also see many people that are having a lot of money and are rich enough to buy anything they want but still, they are not totally happy. Moreover, they are not satisfied with their lives. The reason behind the sadness of the rich people is mostly that they don’t have good health and they worry about this thing a lot. However, they can’t buy good health with their money.

When a person thinks positively then he\she improves his\her chemistry from within. For a healthy lifestyle, one should follow many rules and should also sacrifice many things in their daily routines. Health is Wealth Speech - 10 Lines, Short and Long Speech

Speech on health is wealth -.

Health is the highest wealth for a human being in their entire life. One can survive without having money but no one can survive without good health. Something that we cannot buy with money is health. But we can cure it and take care of it with the help of money when needed. It is a real treasure. Unless you stay healthy nothing you work for or you earn can be enjoyed.

Health is Wealth Speech - 10 Lines, Short and Long Speech

10 Lines Speech on Health is Wealth

An American philosopher named Ralph Waldo Emerson is the one who created "Health is Wealth".

Only a healthy person can live a happier and long life.

Nothing is more important to anyone than health in this world.

We should always try our best to keep ourselves healthy.

Success will always chase healthy people.

A peaceful mind and body can automatically earn both health and wealth.

We can save huge money on medical bills by making our mind and body physically fit and healthy by following a healthy lifestyle.

Good health helps us to achieve everything.

In general people who are healthy can work more when compared to people who are ailing from disease.

We ultimately lose interest in everything happening around us when our health is not good or fails to cooperate with us.

Short speech on Health is Wealth

Good health is one of the main elements of happiness that every person needs in their life. We can see many people around us who are living happily without having a lot of money and similarly someone who is having more money but is unhealthy will not be totally happy. However no one can buy good health with their wealth.

Healthy life

If someone wants a healthy life then they have to follow many rules and also sacrifice many things in their daily routines. There is a saying that without any sacrifices and hard work we cannot earn something. A healthy lifestyle is the highest blessing that should not be taken for granted by us. We ourselves are only responsible for our health. So make a healthy lifestyle a priority.

Always strive to keep a cheerful as well as a concentrated routine. It is very necessary to plan ahead of time in any case one must maintain a good bodily, mental and emotional state and no counselor or professional can assist you unless you deserve to live. The will to live the moment and make the most of it will bring out the ideal strength in you. You are the only one who cannot let yourself fall apart.

Long Speech on Health is Wealth

World health day.

On April 7, every year World Health Day is celebrated. It is an initiative taken by the WHO ( World Health Organization ) to raise awareness among people across the world. This day reminds people to take their health more seriously. The WHO organized local, regional and international events on this day. WHO helps in protecting health from the adverse effects of climate change, run campaigns to provide awareness among us.

Good Health

Good health doesn't only mean the absence of disease in the body but it is a complete mental, physical, spiritual as well as social well being of an individual.

It is always advisable to eat fresh food and fruits instead of junk or spicy food which are harmful to the body. Drinking sufficient amounts of water, intake of milk and seasonal food should be included in our food. Food in olden days was very naturally cultivated or grown but nowadays it is grown full of chemicals. This will harm our health.

Maintain a balanced diet daily. Using healthy oils, more veggies, intake of fruits and grains, and drinking sufficient amounts of water can be considered as a proper diet. Intake of food more than the body requires is also unhealthy .

Being physically active can improve your brain health, reduce the risk of disease, help to manage weight, strengthen bones and muscles and improve one's ability to do everyday activities. Most of the health issues which many one are facing today are due to the lack of physical work.

Health is wealth means that being healthy is more important than being wealthy. Wealth can be lost, but good health is priceless and cannot be bought with money. A person who is in good health is able to work efficiently and enjoy life to the fullest. On the other hand, a person who is constantly battling illness will find it difficult to lead a normal life, regardless of how much wealth they may have.

For example, consider a wealthy business person who falls ill and is unable to work for an extended period of time. Despite their wealth, they will not be able to enjoy the fruits of their labor and may even face financial difficulties due to the costs of medical treatment. In this situation, good health would have been a much more valuable asset than wealth.

Therefore, it is important to prioritise one's health and take steps to maintain it, such as exercising regularly, eating a balanced diet, and getting enough sleep. By doing so, a person can enjoy both good health and wealth, and live a fulfilling life.

In conclusion, the phrase "health is wealth" emphasizes the importance of good health in our lives. It highlights the fact that even the most wealthy individuals can become impoverished by poor health, while good health allows us to enjoy all aspects of life, regardless of wealth. Taking care of one's health should be a top priority, and this means making lifestyle choices that promote physical and mental well-being.

Speech on Health

Most of us have heard the age-old proverb ‘health is wealth’, but has anyone ever wondered why health is considered wealth? This speech will help students give an effective short speech on health. It will include all the important aspects necessary to cover in a speech about health.

Table of Contents

What is health, how should one take care of their health, precautions to be taken during the pandemic.

  • FAQs on Speech on Health

When we say the word ‘health’, what do we mean by it? As per the WHO (World Health Organisation), health is referred to the state of full mental, social and physical well-being and not just the absence of mental or physical weakness or illness. When a person doesn’t have any physical ailments and isn’t mentally disturbed, then they can be said to be in their best health. People usually try to stay healthy but, due to the recent pandemic, it’s becoming difficult to maintain one’s health.

The spread of the corona virus over the past two years has made it difficult for everyone to maintain their health. Though this is the case, one should try to follow some simple ways that will help them keep their bodies and minds healthy. Let’s look at some ways that anyone can follow:

  • Try including some physical exercises/yoga in your routine. They not only prove to be beneficial for the body but also for the mind. For the past two years, offices, as well as schools and colleges, have been functioning online. As a result, many students and young people have developed backaches and posture problems. Adding at least half an hour of yoga/exercise to your daily routine will help you overcome these problems.
  • In today’s world, everybody is engrossed in their mobiles or laptops, and there’s very little time they spend without it. Sometimes, it is necessary to take a break from all these electronic and smart devices. This will help us maintain proper physical and mental health.
  • A good night’s sleep is an easy and effortless way to maintain your health. Your body works to repair all the cells and make sure that your body functions properly the next day in the time that you rest. A minimum of 8 hours of sleep is necessary for any adult being.
  • Try to avoid processed or fried foods and make sure that your plates include enough vegetables and fruits. A healthy platter does wonders for one’s health.
  • If you are feeling disturbed or upset about something, talk to your near and dear ones; you can also consult a specialist if you need. Just like physical health, mental health is also something that is to be considered important. When we fall ill, we have medicines; similarly, if someone is feeling mentally unwell, they should consult a specialist.

With the COVID19 pandemic going on for the past two years, one should take the following precautions to avoid getting affected by the virus. Here are some simple steps one can follow:

  • Always put on a mask whenever you step out of your houses. This is applicable to people of all ages.
  • Everyone should avoid going to crowded places as there is a high risk of getting affected.
  • If you feel you are affected by the virus, seclude yourself from the rest of your family members and keep in touch with your doctors so that everything is monitored and you stay out of danger.
  • Try to eat healthy food and fruits that’ll help you develop immunity.

Wealth, Health, and Longevity: Exploring the Connection

speech on health and wealth

Benjamin Franklin's adage linking health and wealth has persisted through time, suggesting that financial security correlates with better health and increased lifespan. A recent study delves into this relationship, specifically exploring the impact of wealth inequality on longevity in the U.S. and considering potential increases in lifespan associated with reduced wealth inequality.

speech on health and wealth

Wealth Inequality

Before jumping into the study's findings, it's essential to grasp the context of wealth in the United States. The country exhibits high and escalating levels of wealth inequality, with the wealthiest 10% holding a staggering 70.7% of total wealth. [1] This stark contrast is uncommon among high-income nations, with racial wealth disparities also prominently present. White households, for instance, possess nearly six times the wealth of Latino households and seven times that of Black households.

Distinguishing Wealth from Income

It's crucial to differentiate between wealth and income when assessing an individual's financial situation. Income refers to the regular money flow into a person's or family's budget, while wealth encapsulates accumulated assets and resources, including tangible items like real estate and vehicles. The study emphasizes that wealth may more meaningfully capture socioeconomic position than income, considering its stability over time and its influence on access to essential resources such as housing and education.

Wealth is more reflective of caste, a social stratification that traditionally divides society into distinct groups, often based on factors such as occupation, birth, and heredity. We will return to wealth as caste in a moment.

The study utilized data from the Health and Retirement Study (HRS), a longitudinal panel study of US adults aged 50 or older that collects detailed but estimated data on household wealth [2]. The sample, consisting of 35,164 participants, was divided into wealth deciles ranging from the lowest to the highest. The researchers calculated survival rates for each decile and applied various wealth distribution models to explore potential changes in longevity.

The four wealth distribution models included:

  • Equalizing wealth in the US to a specific amount, $281,767, the seventh decile of wealth. [3]
  • Adopting a wealth distribution similar to Japan, a country with the lowest wealth inequality of high-income countries.
  • Implementing a minimum inheritance policy, where each adult receives an inheritance equal to 60% of the national per-person wealth,$169,060. [4]
  • Introducing a baby bonds proposal involving a $1,000 deposit for newborns, with additional deposits based on household income to poverty ratio. [5]

Results and Implications

Adjustments in the HRS data were made for age, self-reported sex, race and ethnicity, marital status, and household size. As expected, based on many studies of demographics and health, a lower hazard of death was identified for female sex, being married (or partnered), and greater wealth – the gap from lowest to highest deciles 13.5 years.

Latin participants had a lower hazard of death relative to White participants in all models, and greater income and education levels were associated with a lower hazard of death. Black participants had a greater hazard of death when adjusted for education or income alone but not in models adjusted for wealth. Both findings speak against the idea that race or ethnicity, on its own, is the determinant of health; it is entangled with wealth – it is a matter of caste, and caste is racially diverse.

“Simulations of more equitable wealth distributions were associated with large increases in longevity for the entire population, ranging from 1.0 to 2.2 years, a 4% to 10% increase … equivalent in magnitude to the population-wide gains in life expectancy between 2005 and 2015 or to the losses in life expectancy during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The analysis revealed that simulations of more equitable wealth distributions were associated with significant increases in longevity, ranging from 1.0 to 2.2 years. Perfect wealth equity, “unlikely to be politically achievable,” produced the most significant longevity increase of 2.2 years. This was followed by wealth equality modeling in Japan, 1.7 years, a minimum inheritance policy, 1.6 years, and the baby bonds proposal, 1 year.

Connecting Wealth to Health – is Caste a better description?

“…our analysis suggests that wealth may mediate a large share of survival gaps between Black and White individuals, as Black study participants did not have a greater hazard of death in models adjusting for wealth. These findings suggest that Black households might experience particularly large health benefits from society wide wealth redistribution.” [emphasis added]

However, does wealth mediate that difference or capture many responsible underlying factors?

Notably, the study emphasizes the potential health benefits of societal wealth redistribution, particularly for Black households. I believe this conflates mediation with representation.

The study posited several mechanisms through which wealth could improve health, including facilitating residence in well-funded neighborhoods, providing access to quality education and healthcare, and increasing leisure time for health-promoting activities.

I would argue that wealth stands in for all those mechanisms, so simply equalizing wealth does not result in equalized housing, education, and lifestyle. More importantly, while there were disparities in the racial makeup of the lowest wealth group, there was no evidence that being White and poor was any less a determinant of poor health than being black or brown and poor. Caste is a better descriptor if for no other reason than it removes the divisive use of race from the discussion, allowing us to stop acting based on “the color of their skin” and more on fundamental determinants of our lives, our homes, neighborhoods, education, and food.

Improving longevity is not a matter of transferring wealth or paying reparations.

Wealth redistribution is not a panacea. It requires, as the commentary on this study notes,

“Complementary public policy changes in other sectors, such as housing, education, the environment, and the criminal justice system…”

that will address the broader determinants of health and enhance the well-being of all individuals.

[1] The top 1% of US households own 42.5% of total wealth vs. 27.8% in the Netherlands, the second most unequal OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) country.

[2] Assets queried included primary and secondary residences; other real estate; vehicles; businesses; stocks; mutual funds; investment trusts; checking, savings, money market, individual retirement, and Keogh accounts; certificates of deposit; government savings bonds; Treasury bills; bonds; bond funds; and other savings. Debts included mortgages and land contracts on residences, home loans, and other debt (e.g., credit card balances and medical debt).

[3] The value of $281,767 was based on Federal Reserve and Census Bureau estimates of mean household net worth and household size.

[4] The researchers “assigned a minimum wealth of $169,060 (60% of $281,767) to each individual in the sample without changing the wealth of any individual whose actual wealth was greater than $ 169,060.”

[5] This reflects actual legislation proposed by US Representative Ayanna Pressley and Senator Cory Booker.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Good health is a priceless treasure. It is like an invisible crown that only the sick can see. Have you ever thought about why we need to be healthy? Let me explain.

First, good health helps our bodies work right. It’s like a well-oiled machine. When we are healthy, we can run, jump, and play without getting tired too fast. Our hearts pump blood, our lungs breathe in air, and our muscles move smoothly. It’s wonderful!

Second, being healthy lets us use our brains better. You know how you feel sleepy when you are sick? That’s because your body is using all its energy to fight off the disease. When we are healthy, we can think clearly, learn new things, and solve tough problems.

Third, good health allows us to enjoy life more. We can taste delicious food, see beautiful sights, hear lovely sounds, and touch and smell wonderful things. But when we are sick, everything seems dull and gray.

Lastly, being healthy means we can help others. We can care for our family, friends, and even pets. We can make a difference in the world.

So, how do we stay healthy? It’s simple. Eat a variety of foods from all the food groups. Drink lots of water. Exercise every day. Get enough sleep. And always remember to wash your hands.

2-minute Speech on Importance Of Health

Good day! Today, we’re here to talk about a very important topic, which is the importance of health. It’s something we all need to understand and value.

First, let’s think about what health is. Health isn’t just about not being sick. Health is about feeling good, inside and out. It’s about having energy to play and learn. It’s about being able to do all the things you love.

Health is like a superpower. When you’re healthy, you can run fast, jump high, and think clearly. You can play with your friends, study for your exams, and help your family. A healthy body helps you do all these things. But it’s not just about your body. It’s also about your mind. A healthy mind means you’re happy, calm, and able to solve problems.

So, how do we get this superpower? It’s not as hard as you might think. Eating good food is one of the best ways. This means fruits, vegetables, grains, and proteins. It’s like fuel for your body. It keeps your body strong and your mind sharp.

Exercise is another way. When you run, jump, dance, or play, you’re making your body stronger. You’re also making your mind stronger. Exercise helps you feel happy and think clearly. So, get out there and play!

Sleep is also very important. When you sleep, your body and mind rest and recharge. It’s like giving your body a tune-up every night. So, make sure you’re getting enough sleep every night.

But health isn’t just about you. It’s about everyone around you too. When you’re healthy, you’re able to help others. You can help your family, your friends, and your community.

In conclusion, health is a superpower. It helps us to do all the things we love. It helps us to be happy and to think clearly. It helps us to help others. So, let’s all try to be as healthy as we can. Let’s eat good food, get plenty of exercise, and get enough sleep. Because health is the most important thing we have.

Speech on Health is Wealth for Students

Health is wealth speech 1.

Good morning to my respected teachers and all my classmates. As we have gathered here to celebrate this auspicious occasion, I would like to give a speech on health as wealth as we all know the common saying that health is wealth, but I do not think that we follow this proverb in our daily life to get maintained. We all know well that good health leads to a good way; however, no one takes care of our health. If we are not living in discipline and following nature’s rules, we can never become healthy in life and never reach success.

We have been given two legs and two hands to walk and do work; however, if we are not properly using our organs, it is our fault that leads us to failure. Most people spend their whole day and night just sitting or lying in bed for most days of the week and months. They are just like fish without swimming and birds without flying. Can you imagine what will happen if fishes do not swim or birds do not fly? Most commonly, they easily would be the food of big animals, and slowly their species would get destroyed. In this way, people with more comfort in their lives cannot be so healthy.

Some decades ago, people were strong and healthy because they were used to walking for long-distance, and they had to perform every household chores own. In recent decades, the growth of technologies has been speedy manner has decreased man’s efforts in every walk of life. Earlier, the life of our grandparents was good, and their livelihood was very healthy because of hunting, farming, plowing, harvesting, planting, walking, running, etc. Nowadays, almost every person of any age group suffers from diseases (like high blood pressure, heart attack, gout, stress-related disease, etc.).

To keep ourselves healthy physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and intellectually, we need to be active daily, including a well-maintained diet, exercises, positive thinking, and following good habits. We need to be disciplined in every walk of life.

Health is Wealth Speech 2

Good morning to the respected Principal, teachers, and all my dear friends. As we have gathered here to celebrate this great occasion, I would like to give a speech on health is wealth. It is a most common saying that we generally listen to our grandparents, parents, and teachers. But, I want to ask you how many of us have to think about and follow this remedy in our lives. We all know that what is ‘health is wealth,’ but has anyone of us thought of its real meaning. Nowadays, people have been so busy that they have no time for their health maintenance, doing exercises, talking to family members, friends, neighbors, etc., because of increasing competition and technologies.

We should never forget that there is nothing in our life without health. Health is more valuable for us than other things in life because it is the only successful tool. Unhealthy people can never get the real joy and peace of life. This famous proverb tells us that health is more valuable than money and other precious things worldwide. If we suffer from any disease, money can only help us get medicine and limited relief; however, it cannot obliterate diseases from the body. If we get relief from one disease, it will leave other diseases as a complication. It means a weak and unhealthy body calls many diseases one by one, which we never can be free of.

We need to keep ourselves healthy and happy to cope with all life’s problems easily. We can be healthy through proper and daily exercises, morning walks, a healthy diet, following good habits, a disciplined lifestyle, and positive thinking. A healthy body keeps the body, mind, and soul happy and peaceful. A healthy person becomes completely free from the illnesses in body and mind and thus enjoys stable health and happiness. Healthy people of any age group depend upon several factors like food, physical activity, pollution, sleeping habits, way of thinking, mental condition, water, air, sunlight, etc. With physical exercises, proper body care is also very necessary. Unhealthy people spend their whole lives suffering from diseases and complaining to others about their condition. Life is wonderful if it is lived in the right direction. Please do not waste it by being diseased; instead, live it happily. My motto for today’s speech on this topic is only to share my feelings with all of you for our wellness.

Health is Wealth Speech 3

Good morning to the respected teachers and all my dear friends. I want to speak over the common saying ‘health is wealth’ on this auspicious occasion. I know that every one of us is well recognized with this proverb; however, only a few people follow this strategy in their life. The real meaning of this proverb is that the one who has good health becomes the happiest person in the world, even from the rich people. Whether a person is rich or poor, he would be unhappy if he suffered any disease or disability. This proverb means a lot for all of us if we strictly understand and follow this remedy. Conditions never ask a person for richness or poorness; they affect the person if found weak and unhealthy.

Health is wealth proverb compares the value of health with wealth and indicates that health is more valuable than wealth. When a rich person gets diseased, he becomes more unhappy than a poor healthy person. Their life becomes useless instead of having lots of money. Money cannot buy happiness and healthy life; it can only give comfort and joy for a limited time; however, good health always goes together in every bad and good condition. Good health makes a person (healthy or poor) happy and cheerful forever. A healthy person lives a better life than a rich person. They feel no burden to them and live a stress-free life.

A healthy person can be healthy in every walk of life. However, an unhealthy person cannot bear a little problematic condition. Being healthy is not so costly; one needs to maintain a timely diet, a healthy lifestyle, and daily physical exercises. Some people save their money for future purposes but do not take care of their health; saving money is a good habit, but declining health is not good for the future. People should maintain their health together, saving money.

Health is Wealth Speech 4

Good morning to the respected teachers and all my dear friends. Today, I want to give a speech on health is wealth.’ We all know that good health is a boon and a real jewel of a happy life. Good health is the precious thing a person gets in their life. Once a person losses their health can never get back through money. It is the theme that this proverb tells us. It is very easy to maintain good health through a disciplined lifestyle, regular exercise, common and healthy food, positive thoughts, personal hygiene, and cleanliness. Healthy people do not need to spend money on medicines and making a round of doctors. However, an unhealthy person needs to spend more money to cure their diseases.

Good health is the freedom of sickness and diseases, and it is the feeling of physical, mental, and social well-being of a person. If one maintains good health, they are blessed with a most precious gift. Being a well healthy person, it is very necessary to be healthy in every aspect, physically, mentally, and socially. A healthy person is only able to enjoy all the pleasures of life. Living a happy life and being rich is not so important; however, it is necessary to be healthy. Anyone can achieve good health through continuous efforts. Proper awareness about bad habits is also essential to keep the body away from illnesses.

To maintain proper health, we should practice a disciplined life from early morning to the evening. We should get up in the early morning, go for a morning walk or do some exercises, breathe some fresh air, get fresh, maintain proper hygiene and eat food timely. Laughing is also the best medium to keep ourselves happy and healthy. It helps to be happy by overcoming anger and fear and allows one to enjoy life to the full.

Actually, I have written this speech for 1, 2, and 3 minutes. Now, it’s only up to you which one you choose.

All these speeches can be given anywhere whether it’s a school or a public place. It seemed a very important topic, that’s why I decided to write an article on it.

So, without any delay, let’s start writing the speech.

Also, see the speech on poverty in India for 2 minutes .

Health is Wealth Speech in English for 1, 2 & 3 Minutes –

1. health is wealth speech for 1 minute –.

Hello everyone, my name is Sachin Kulkarni and today, I’m going to give a speech on health is wealth. Please forgive me if I make any mistakes.

Good health is one of the most valuable assets for human beings in life. If someone’s health is not good, he can neither live his life comfortably nor can enjoy the moments of life like others.

Health is something that can be cured with money, but can’t be bought. That means no matter how rich we are, we can’t buy good health.

Everyone wants good health but no one follows things that are responsible for good health. To be healthy, we should meditate, do physical work, eat healthy food, etc. But, people don’t pay attention to them.

We can live life without money but not without good health. So, we should pay special attention to our health because only good health can take us towards the peak.

If we really want to live a healthy life, we have to wake up early in the morning and do physical and mental exercises for a definite interval of time, as well as we have to consume hymns that keep our health good.

At last, I’ll request to everybody to maintain his health for the enjoyment of life.

Also, see the speech on knowledge is power for 2 minutes .

2. Health is Wealth Speech for 2 Minutes –

First of all, my greetings to everyone who is listening to me here. My name is Subodh Bharti and I study in class 8th. Today, I got an opportunity to express my thoughts about health is wealth. So, if I made any mistake, please give me pardon.

As you all know that progress in any field is possible only when we have good health. In other words, success can’t be achieved without good health. Nevertheless, people don’t focus on their health.

We all are so busy shaping our future that we have forgotten to care about our health, whereas only good health can take us towards a good future. We don’t want to do any physical or mental work. As a result, we have become very lazy.

In the earlier decades, when there was no technology, we were not dependent on any machine or equipment, but increasing technology has made us dependent.

Today, we are completely dependent on machines. We don’t require much physical activity while doing any work, due to which we’re getting surrounded by various types of diseases. To become healthy, it’s essential to be mentally, intellectually, physically active and eat food that can strengthen us in every way.

In the true sense, our good health is the only wealth. if we are healthy, we can be happy and enjoy our life with no stress. If we are unwell, no matter how much money we have, it cannot give us happiness.

So, always try to stay fit so that you don’t have any stress or disease.

Also, see the speech on the importance of yoga .

3. Health is Wealth Speech for 3 Minutes –

Good morning to all the respected teachers and students, today, I’m going to give a speech on health is wealth, please forgive me if I make any mistakes unknowingly.

Health is wealth, in this proverb health is compared to wealth. No matter how much money we have, if we are physically unwell, no one is poorer than us.

It’s also believed that whether we are rich or poor, diseases don’t come after seeing our prosperity and poverty, but it’s absolutely true that they capture those who remain physically or mentally inactive.

In today’s era, we are chasing our work so fast that we don’t worry about our health.

There is no doubt that working is necessary for our livelihood, but we should also take care of our health. Only a healthy body motivates us to do work and if we are unhealthy, we cannot do anything efficiently.

Due to our body being unhealthy, neither we feel energetic nor are we motivated to do any work. That’s why it is always said that health is the first wealth.

To stay away from diseases, we should exercise regularly and do it on a daily basis. At the same time, we should take healthy food and be active in our work as much as possible because inactivity and laziness are such things that give a feast to diseases.

If possible, all parents should motivate their children to take yoga classes or regular exercise so that they can lead healthy and happy lives. Also, we have to make a habit of being happy by reducing anger. It has been known for centuries how beneficial laughter is for health.

A healthy and happy life will come only when we are physically and mentally fit otherwise we will spend our days in despair and passivity.

Now, I end my words and suggest you keep your body healthy.

Also, see the speech on child labour for 2 minutes .

Final words –

In the end, I hope that the article must have satisfied you and you have got here the best speeches on health is wealth.

Now, you can choose the best one which can attract more attention while delivering the speech. If you really liked this article, please share it with those who need it.

Speech on Health is Wealth (1000+ Words)

Respected Principal, teachers, and dear friends,

Today I am going to speak about health as Wealth.

Mahatma Gandhi emphasized that “It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver,” indicating the significance of good health over wealth. Although man has a superior mind and a controlled nature, he must also focus on keeping his body and mind fit and healthy. Regular exercise can help maintain good health and keep the mind alert. A healthy body is crucial for good psychological well-being, as poor health can negatively impact an individual’s mental state.

In today’s fast-paced life, stress has become a leading cause of various medical conditions, such as heart and neurological problems. Good health not only prevents such conditions but also promotes a positive attitude towards work and life in general. Life is meant to be joyful and positive, and to enjoy it, individuals need energy and enthusiasm, which can only be attained through good health.

From the very beginning of life, care for good health is essential, and it relies on the mother’s health and nutritional intake during pregnancy, as well as the cleanliness of the surroundings. The mother’s health and nutrition are the primary requirements for both her and her baby’s well-being. Dreaded illnesses like polio, diphtheria , typhoid, etc. can be prevented with proper care to keep children healthy.

Parents view their children as their best hope and love them dearly, with the dream of raising healthy, intelligent, and brilliant children. Therefore, it is the parents’ fundamental responsibility to take care of their children’s physical and mental health. However, as children are the future of the country and everyone’s hope, others share the responsibility of ensuring their good health.

The saying “A child is the father of a man” implies that the growth and development of a child determine their future as a man. A healthy child will grow up to become a healthy and productive man who can serve as a valuable resource for the country and society. It is not wrong for others to come forward and provide services that contribute to children’s good health. Teachers, neighbors, friends, athletes, physical and mental trainers, media, social workers, doctors, and gymnasts can play a crucial role in inspiring children to prioritize their health.

In this competitive age, good health has become even more important than ever before. Children have the opportunity to develop their physical and mental standards at school. Life has become exceptionally fast-paced and stressful from an early age. With vast educational syllabi and high expectations, it is crucial for students to study hard and spend long hours in the classroom. Educational institutions must give equal importance to physical exercises and entertainment programs to ensure that students learn well and maintain good health.

A good school or educational institution is remembered for its ideal facilities for sports and other activities, which provide physical exercise and entertainment to students. After long hours of mental work, students need outdoor exercises to refresh their minds. A young person with good academic performance and sound health is sure to achieve their life goals, regardless of the career they choose. Good education and good health equip a person to face challenges fearlessly, which leads to progress and the desired outcome.

Better performance in life, regardless of the profession one belongs to, is associated with good health, both physical and mental. It is imperative for everyone to prioritize good health in order to become a result-oriented individual.

Even an untalented person can manage their job through the excellence of their good health. People with good physiques can be seen working on farms all day, using their energy to earn a living for themselves and their families, leading to mental satisfaction and sound sleep at night. Furthermore, physically strong and intelligent individuals can provide better service to society and gain appreciation from others.

There are many professions for which health is a crucial eligibility criterion. Individuals who are well-built and mentally fit can perform better in the armed forces, paramilitary, police, and other similar fields. Many people in these forces have been decorated with awards for their exceptional performance and heroism shown during battles or for their courageous acts under extremely challenging circumstances.

A healthy individual has more job options available, even in the private sector, where professional skill is the primary criterion, a well-built person with a powerful appearance is sought after. Health has significant value everywhere, and it pays dividends throughout a person’s life.

A person’s negative thoughts and emotions are reflected on their face, while positive thoughts of a healthy mind can make a person’s face shine. Because the mind and body are so closely interconnected, they continuously influence each other and can trigger a cycle of reactions unless controlled.

Improving good health is crucial as it holds great importance. However, there are areas where healthcare centers are lacking, leading to people’s suffering. Many rural hospitals are functioning without doctors or medicines, leaving patients with multiple diseases and injuries untreated. As a result, poor people cannot afford treatment in big cities, and private hospitals’ costs for major diseases are beyond their reach.

Merely having medical facilities will not resolve the issue. Raising awareness among people about regular physical exercise to promote good health and efficiency at work is necessary. Individuals conscious of their health and well-being attend Gymnasium and Yoga camps, motivating others to follow such beneficial practices and lead a disease-free life with robust health.

If an individual can eliminate unhealthy and negative thoughts such as self-indulgence from his mind, he can develop the determination to improve his body, thus freeing himself of the most psychologically caused illnesses. On the way to good health, one can experience a superior mind.

With this, I conclude my speech. Thank you all for your patience and cooperation.

Introduction

Health and Fitness are like the two sides of a coin. One must remain fit in order to maintain good Health. In today’s contemporary world, it has become all the more essential that we maintain our Health and physique. In the following long and short speech on Health and Fitness, we have discussed what it means to be fit and its importance in our lives. The speech on physical Fitness explores the various ways as to how we can make time in our busy schedules to ensure that our Health is not compromised in any way. The informative speech on Fitness given below can prove to be very beneficial for the readers.

The quality of life of a human being is not judged by how much he earns but rather by how much he invests in his life. Personal wellbeing and maintaining your body is of the utmost importance for all people. Health is that aspect of one’s life which deals with the physical and mental wellbeing of a person. For a person to live a good life, his personal wellbeing is the first criterion. The physical capacities of a person must be up to the task of his daily work style. A person can be unhappy even if he is not in good Health but someone who is not in good Health will never be able to be happy in his life. A very important thing to note here is that when we talk of Health, we not only talk about the physical appearance of someone but rather the cohesive betterment of an individual. For the individual to be in completely good Health, his mental Health is as important as his physical Health. One should be open about the issues of his or her mental Health and use practices like Yoga to improve their mental Health.

What is Fitness?

A lot of people in our country confuse dealing with Health issues with just making hospitals and taking medicines. That is very wrong to approach the well-being of an individual. To achieve the cohesive wellbeing of an individual or the society as a whole, care should be taken before disease hits an individual by focusing on the Fitness of the people. It is very important to be fit in one’s life as Fitness is something that cannot be bought with money. Fitness is an indicator of discipline and a good lifestyle which should be followed by everyone. A fit person always finds himself at an advantage in the real world.

Long Speech on Health and Fitness

Hello and welcome to everyone present here. On today’s special occasion, I am very excited to present a speech on physical Fitness. Before I begin, I would like each one of you to take a moment and ask yourself what does Health and Fitness mean to you and do you consider yourself to be fit? I am sure all of you must have unique answers of your own. As such, in this speech on Fitness, I would like to provide a general as well as personal insight about what it means to be Healthy and fit.

We must have all come across the old adage, ‘Health is Wealth’ and it is indeed. As we all know, remaining Healthy is key in order to live a fulfilling life. When we speak about being Healthy, we imply the ability to function optimally both physically and mentally. As we explore the dynamics of Health and Fitness, we have to acknowledge the fact that mental Health is as important as physical Health.

So why is it important to be Healthy and physically fit? Because, as human beings, we have limited time on earth and being fit is one of the key requirements that allow us to live and enjoy life. A fit person is more likely to make the most of his/her time in the journey of life. Over the centuries, people have stressed on the importance of good Health. A number of great discoveries and inventions, such as vaccinations and cutting edge technologies have been developed in order to ensure that human beings are able to live a Healthy life. Since the start of civilization, people have embraced various means to ensure that they remain Healthy.

Now, as we discuss the importance of being fit, we must also explore the key components that allow us to be so. When we think about Health and Fitness, the first thought that crosses our mind is exercise and rightly so. As a matter of fact, there is no denying that exercise is the first step towards ensuring that you remain fit. Exercise in any form allows the release of the hormone endorphin, which triggers a feeling of positivity and allows you to make the most of your day.

However, it is important to remember that exercising is only one of the components of being physically fit. In addition to exercise, you must also maintain a Healthy diet. The inclusion of whole grain, proteins, fruits and green leafy vegetables in your diet will ensure that your digestive system is functioning optimally which is a must for maintaining good Health. In addition, you must also ensure to get 6-8 hours of sleep every day in order for your body to metabolize well.

As we have already mentioned above that being fit refers to physical as well as mental Health, it is necessary that we give equal importance to both. Practices such as yoga, meditation can prove to be very relaxing and one often finds solace in them. They allow you to relax and take your mind off the feelings that wear you down. Moreover, one should not hesitate to seek professional help if they do not feel invigorated mentally.

In conclusion, I would like to say that we endeavour all our lives to make sure that we have a better life. So, why not make each day more enjoyable by being Healthy and fit? Make time for yourself, get some exercise, practise meditation and live fully.

Short Speech on Health and Fitness

A hearty welcome to everyone gathered here. Today, I stand before you to deliver a short speech on Fitness. All of us must, at some point in our lives, have heard about the importance of exercise and Fitness. To ensure that we leave Healthily, being fit is an essential criterion. With only a proper body and mind, one can be happy and enjoy and live fully.

Now, our speech on physical Fitness will be resoundingly empty if we do not talk about the importance of exercise for maintaining physical Fitness. If you want to be fit, you will need to exercise on a regular basis. Although with our jam-packed schedules, it seems like an impossible feat to achieve, we must make sure that we make time for an exercise routine. Exercising is crucial not only for being physically fit but also helps to maintain a Healthy mind as the hormones released during exercising help counteract negative thoughts or feelings.

A proper and balanced diet is also equally essential in order to maintain a Healthy physique. A diet containing whole foods and fibres ensures active metabolism is being maintained and the proper functioning of the digestive system. One should also try and include probiotics in the diet for maintaining gut Health.

Since a Healthy individual is not only limited to being physically fit, I would also like to throw some light on mental Health as well. With our busy schedules, we often overburden ourselves with work and tend to ignore our mental Health, which can have devastating effects in the long run. Mental Health, if not more, is as important as physical Health. If we are engrossed with feelings of depression, anxiety, etc., we must make sure to meditate as it will help bring a sense of calm.

To conclude, I would like to say that practices that harm our Health should be avoided and instead we should try to make our lives more fulfilling by focusing on our Health and Fitness.

Health is Wealth Speech

Health is wealth is a famous proverb which means that health is everything and its importance is more than the wealth. If one maintains his/her health, he gets everything in the life very easily. We have provided below various speech on health is wealth under different words limit for the school children. They can select any health is wealth speech given below:

Speech on Health is Wealth

Health is wealth speech 1.

Good morning to my respected teachers and all my fellow classmates. As we have gathered here to celebrate this auspicious occasion, I would like to speech over health is wealth. As we all know about the common saying that health is wealth but I do not think that we follow this proverb in our daily life to get maintained. Everyone of us knows well that a good health lead to the good way however no one of us take care of the health. If we are not living in discipline and following nature’s rule, we can never become healthy in the life and never reach to the success.

Health is Wealth

We have given two legs and two hands to walk and do work however if we are not using our organs accordingly in proper way, it is our fault which lead us towards failure. Most of the people spend their whole day and night just by sitting or lying on bed for most of the days of week and months. They are just like fish without swimming and birds without fly. Can you imagine that what will happen if fishes do not swim or birds do not fly, most commonly they easily would be food of big animals and slowly their species would get destroyed. In this way, people having more comfort in their life cannot be so healthy.

Some decades ago, people were strong and healthy because they were used to walk for long distance and they have to perform every house hold chores own. In the recent decades, the growth of technologies in very fast manner has decreased the man efforts in every walk of life. Earlier, the life of our grandparents was good and their livelihood was very healthy because of the hunting, farming, ploughing, harvesting, planting, walking, running, etc. Now-a-days, almost every people of any age group suffer from one or more diseases (like high blood pressure, heart attack, gout, stress-related disease, etc) from the starting of life.

In order to keep ourselves healthy physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and intellectually, we need to be active on daily basis including well maintained diet, exercises, positive thinking and follow good habits. We need to be disciplined in every walk of life.

Health is Wealth Speech 2

Good morning to the respected Principal, teachers and all my dear friends. As we have gathered here to celebrate this great occasion, I would like to speech over health is wealth. It is a most common saying which we generally listen by our grandparents, parents and teachers. But, I want to ask you all that how many of us have think about and follow this remedy in their life. We all know that what is ‘health is wealth’ but is anyone of us have think the real meaning of it. Now-a-days, people’s life has been so busy that they have no time for their health maintenance, doing exercises, talk to family members, friends, neighbours, etc because of increasing competitions and technologies.

We should never forget that without health there is nothing in our life. Health is more valuable for us than other things in the life because it is the only tool of success. Unhealthy people can never get the real joy and peace of life. This famous proverb tells us that health is more valuable than money and other precious things all over the world. If we suffer any disease, money can only help us to get medicine and limited relief; however it cannot remove diseases completely from the body. If we get relief from one disease then it will leave other diseases as a complication. It means weak and unhealthy body calls many diseases one by one which we never can be free off.

We need to keep ourselves healthy and happy to easily cope with all the problems of life. We can be healthy through proper and daily exercises, morning walk, healthy diet, following good habits, disciplined lifestyle, and positive thinking. Healthy body keeps body, mind and soul happy and peaceful. A healthy person becomes completely free from the illnesses in body and mind and thus able to enjoy stable health and all the happiness in the life. Being healthy for the people of any age group depends upon the several factors like food, physical activity, pollution, sleeping habits, way of thinking, mental condition, water, air, sunlight, etc. Together with the physical exercises; proper care of the body is also very necessary. Unhealthy people spend their whole life in suffering from diseases and complaining others for their condition. Life is very beautiful if it is lived in right direction. Please do not waste it by being diseased, instead live it happily. My motto of today’s speech on this topic is only to share my feelings to all of you for the wellness of all of us.

Health is Wealth Speech 3

Good morning to the respected teachers and all my dear friends. At this auspicious occasion I would like to speech over common saying ‘health is wealth’. I know that everyone of us is well recognized with this proverb however only few people actually follow this strategy in their life. The real meaning of this proverb is that the one, who has good health become the happiest person of the world even from the rich people. Whether a person is rich or poor, he would be unhappy if suffers any disease or disability. This proverb is really meaning a lot for all of us if we understand and follow this remedy strictly. Diseases never ask a person for richness or poorness, they just affect the person if found weak and unhealthy.

Health is wealth proverb compares the value of health with the wealth and indicates that health is more valuable than the wealth. When a rich person gets diseased, he becomes an unhappy person than the poor healthy person. His/her life becomes useless instead of having lots of money. Money cannot buy happiness and healthy life; it can only give comfort and joy for limited time however a good health always goes together all through the life in every bad and good condition. Good health makes a person (whether healthy or poor) happy and cheerful forever. A healthy person lives better life than the rich person. They feel no burden to them and live stress free life.

A healthy person can be healthy in every walk of life however an unhealthy person cannot bear a little problematic condition. Being healthy is not so costly; one needs to maintain timely diet, healthy lifestyle and daily physical exercises. Some people save their money for future purpose but do not take care of their health, saving money is good habit for future but declining health is not good for future. People should maintain their health together with the saving of money.

Health is Wealth Speech 4

Good morning to the respected teachers and all my dear friends. Today, at this auspicious occasion I want to speech on the topic ‘health is wealth’. As we all know that good health is really a boon and real jewel of the happy life. Good health is the precious thing a person gets in his/her life. Once a person losses his/her health, can never get back through money. It is the theme what this proverb tells us. It is very easy to maintain a good health through disciplined lifestyle, regular exercises, common and healthy food, positive thoughts, personal hygiene and cleanliness. Healthy people do not need to spend money over medicines and making round of doctors. However, an unhealthy person needs to spend more money to cure their diseases.

A good health is the freedom of sickness and diseases and it is the feeling of physical, mental and social well being of a person. If one maintains a good health, he/she is really blessed with a most precious gift all through the life. Being a well healthy person, it is very necessary to be healthy in every aspect like physically, mentally and socially. A healthy person is only able to enjoy all the pleasures of life. Living a happy life, being rich is not so important however it is very necessary to be healthy. A good health can be achieved by anyone through the continuous efforts. Proper awareness about bad habits is also very necessary to keep body away from the illnesses.

To maintain a proper health, we should practice a disciplined life from early morning to the evening. We should get up in the early morning, go for morning walk or do some exercises, breathe some fresh air, get fresh, maintain proper hygiene and eat food timely. Laughing is also a best medium to keep ourselves happy and healthy. It helps to be happy by overcoming anger and fear and makes one able to enjoy life to the full.

Politics latest: Key voter on Humza Yousaf's future will make proposals to 'help him out of a tight corner'

Ash Regan, who is the Alba Party's sole MSP and potentially the deciding vote in a no-confidence motion in Mr Yousaf, is expected to meet with the first minister. Listen to this week's Politics at Jack and Sam's as you scroll.

By Trevor Phillips, presenter

I've known Rishi Sunak slightly for almost a decade, having first met him after he penned a thoughtful, comprehensive, well-received report on Britain's minority communities, which I'd say is still the best of its kind.

Sitting down to interview him in a state-of-the-art defence facility this week, I could still see the same energetic, likeable problem solver that I met back then, even if he's now surrounded by the prime ministerial cavalcade of aides, security and media.

That Peloton and fasting regime are clearly doing their job. He's keen to show his detailed grasp of the situation, whether that's welfare reform, defence or migration. It's easy to see why he shone in Silicon Valley and thrived in the Treasury.

However, in the political world he chose, there's a downside to being highly intelligent, disciplined, and super-focused on delivery, as they might say in California.

He betrays frustration with what he - not wholly unjustifiably - sees as a media obsession with polls and presentation.

Unfortunately, as Enoch Powell once pointed out, a politician who complains about journalists is like a sailor who doesn't much fancy being at sea.

He rightly points out that it's his job to make hard choices - for example, funding the defence budget even if it's at the expense of schools and hospitals.

But a political leader should also know that what follows is an even harder job: to cajole the electorate into supporting that choice - and the voters aren't always governed by the logic of the computer.

Read on here...

Lorna Slater, co-leader of the Scottish Greens, has said her party will not be changing its mind about supporting the upcoming motion of no confidence in First Minister Humza Yousaf.

Ms Slater said they would vote in favour of the motion on BBC Scotland's Sunday Show,

"I cannot imagine anything at this point that could change that position.

"This was a spectacular breach of trust."

She was asked if policy offers from Mr Yousaf ahead of the vote could persuade them to abstain.

“[The Bute House Agreement] was based on mutual trust and respect. I do have trust and respect for many of my SNP colleagues," she said.

"But Humza Yousaf himself has broken that and he needs to face the consequences."

Policing minister Chris Philp said he was posing a "rhetorical question" after he appeared to ask whether Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo were different countries.

The MP for Croydon South said he was struggling to hear when he was asked about the government's new law on deporting some asylum seekers to Rwanda by a Question Time audience member.

He told the BBC's Laura Kuenssberg: "I was struggling a little bit to hear the question.

"When I put that point to him I was asking that as a clearly rhetorical question rather than a substantive question, as I think any fair-minded listener would conclude."

What did he say on Question Time?

The audience member, from Congo, pointed out there has been a long history of violent conflict with neighbouring country Rwanda.

He asked Mr Philp: "Had my family members come from Goma [a city on the country's border] on a crossing right now, would they then be sent back to the country they are supposedly warring – Rwanda? Does that make any sense to you?"

Mr Philp replied: "No, I think there's an exclusion on people from Rwanda being sent to Rwanda."

After the audience member objected that his parents were not from Rwanda, the Conservative MP appeared to ask: "Well, I mean, Rwanda is a different country to Congo, isn't it?

"It's a different country?" he said, followed by laughter from some audience members.

Rishi Sunak was quizzed over the local and general elections, the Rwanda Scheme and defence spending today on Sunday Morning With Trevor Phillips.

If you missed it, here's your chance to catch up on all the key moments - or watch the interview in full.

  • The prime minister tried to manage expectations for Thursday, saying: "Local elections are always difficult for incumbent parties";
  • Asylum seekers travelling across the land border to Ireland was a sign the Rwanda scheme was working as a deterrent, he said;
  • Despite being asked several times, Mr Sunak refused to rule out a July general election;
  • He declined to comment on polling and, when asked if he would have any regrets should the Conservative Party lose, Mr Sunak said: "You're again focused on all this personality stuff."

A little earlier this morning, Rishi Sunak told Sky News that the movement of migrants from Northern Ireland into the Republic of Ireland showed his Rwanda scheme was working as a deterrent.

But the Irish government is to consider legislative proposals next week on returning asylum seekers back to the UK who have travelled across the land border.

Justice minister Helen McEntee will also meet Home Secretary James Cleverly next week, after saying the number of migrants crossing the border was now "higher than 80%".

"I'll have emergency legislation at cabinet this week to make sure that we can effectively return people to the UK," she told RTE.

Ms McEntee added Brexit was responsible for the UK seeing an increase in people seeking asylum.

A spokesman for Irish premier Simon Harris said he is "very clear about the importance of protecting the integrity" of Ireland's migration system.

"Ireland has a rules-based system that must always be applied firmly and fairly.

"In that context, the Taoiseach has asked the minister for justice to bring proposals to Cabinet next week to amend existing law regarding the designation of safe 'third countries' and allowing the return of inadmissible international protection applicants to the UK."

Alex Salmond asked Alastair Campbell to negotiate on behalf of Scotland with the UK government in the event it voted for independence in 2014, Mr Campbell tells Sky News.

The proposal was made when the pair were in Scotland ahead of the referendum, making tributes to Tony Benn, the former Number 10 communications director says.

"If Scotland had become independent, then that would have been a massive, massive thing for the country, so I would have been very happy to do that.

"I would want people who weren't necessarily pro-indpendence to be part of that team."

As Humza Yousaf fights to maintain leadership of Scotland, the Alba Party's Alex Salmond joins Sunday Morning With Trevor Phillips.

Meanwhile, Ash Regan, the Alba Party's sole MP and potentially the deciding vote in a no-confidence motion in Mr Yousaf, is expected to meet with the first minister.

Ms Regan will "make a set of reasonable proposals to help him out of a very tight corner", says Mr Salmond.

"Scotland is lucky that somebody like Ash Regan is in that position."

Independence forces should be "cooperating together to try and get independence back as a priority in Scottish society".

Asked if an agreement can be reached with the SNP, Mr Salmond says Mr Yousaf is "in a very difficult position" but he will be in a "listening mode".

"He wouldn't have sacked the Greens from his administration unless he wanted a significant change in direction," says Mr Salmond.

"One possible outcome of this political crisis is there might be a Scottish election."

Earlier this week, Labour pledged to nationalise the railway system.

Shadow health secretary Wes Streeting says the plan is a "reflection of the failure of privatised rail and the absence of competition".

If you bring the franchises back into public ownership as they come up, the profits can be reinvested into better services and fairs, argues Mr Streeting.

"There is already enormous public ownership of our railways, but they are owned by French, German, Dutch and Italian taxpayers, and our profits go into their countries."

"It's time that we had public ownership of our railways so we can reinvest."

Trevor Phillips continues to put questions to shadow health secretary Wes Streeting.

He is about Keir Starmer's pledge to maintain the triple lock, with Phillips raising statistics showing median wealth for those in their early 60s was nearly nine times higher than those in their early 30s.

"I don't buy into that intergenerational conflict argument. We need to give pensioners the reassurance to know that as they have planned for retirement... that Labour will protect the triple lock."

Wes Streeting is asked about the possibility of a July election, which the prime minister has refused to rule out.

The shadow health secretary says: "He should get on with it. We are not just ready, we are, as with the rest of the country, fed up of waiting."

People are "crying out for an opportunity to deliver their verdict on this government and vote for change", he says.

"That's why the prime minister bottled an election earlier this year, that's why he's bottled it now, and that's why he will have to be taken out of Downing Street by his fingernails."
