Yes. Obviously you can take admission in 2nd year in other college. This process is called lateral entry.  Yes you can ,its named as lateral entry but after diploma & if you study 1st year from a college and want to change the college to 2nd year its also possible but with no backlogs.

Transfer from college to college or university to university is possible. The procedure for transfer is - Transfer from one College to another : -(1)A student desirous of transfer from one College to another shall apply to the Registrar in the prescribed manner for permission for such transfer .

• Information given ONLINE at the time of Fee payment cannot be changed at later stage. So be very careful while filling up the information in Fee payment Online Form.
• After the transaction is successful student can fill multiple forms for different campuses/colleges and different courses with the same TRANSACTION NUMBER (A 12 digit number generated after successfull fee submission).
• Kindly also undergo the user manual in the portal to assist you in filing the online admission form.
• Kindly keep the documents ready with you before you start filling the form ONLINE.
• Entries in the online application form should be entered only in English.
• The size of the .jpeg file should not exceed 80 KB.
• Make sure that the photograph is coloured and taken against light colored background (preferably white).

• If the candidate wears glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes are clearly visible.

Kumaun University is headquartered in Nainital. The University was established in 1973 under the UP State Act. What is new?

I proudly saying that this refresher course is well organized course. I have already attended three courses. But this course is very special to me. A wide range of topics was selected. Many experts from all over India. From very young scientist to senior professors in Geology. UGC – HRDC, Kumaun University also invited experts from Geography and allied subjects too. Topic selection is excellent. The key speakers and experts covered from basic concept, Fundamentals and advanced topics also covered. I really wondered about the many topics related to Himalayan Geology. Remote sensing topics and Geophysics and Geochemistry, Geomorpholoy are also very interesting. DST expert came and gave a very good interaction session related to various funding for research. I personally feel that the last 14 days are very much useful. I got more knowledge and I am forcing to learn more and more to teach well in e upcoming days.

"Faculty Induction Programme, 24Feb – 28 March 2023, by UGC HRDC kumaun University Nainital through the online platform learn us, to prepare and enable teachers to deliver excellent teaching practices in digital platform. The training module for this Induction Programme also emphasises the personal development of the teachers.It provided the teachers with the instructional tools for curriculum design and assessment, accessing technology. There was a detailed discussion on the organisational skills required for the teachers to initiate and improve the institutional environment by the renowned resource persons. Apart from the qualitative knowledge addition, we the participants learned about the different ICT tools for effective teaching and learning. And I have learned so many things during this days. The course co-ordinator sir (Dr. Ritesh Sah) has explained every assignment very nicely and systematically. I am grateful and thankful to him. The refresher course organized by the UGC-HRDC Nainital, Kumaun University has great impact on participants learning. This FIP-09 program was well planned, well-organized, and smoothly functioning program. In this course almost all the areas/ topics were focused on what we will face in our coming professional life. HRDC Nainital has due care about our needs and requirements for this course. They have invited the best, eminent, and specialist resource person from various fields for the different sessions. We were feeling like every day is a new day/ fresh day with a new topic, with a new resource person with new ideas. We feel very energetic, motivated, and encouraged by listening to all the resource persons otherwise it is not easy to listen to everyone from 10:15 to 4: 30 even sometimes beyond 5:00 pm regular for 30 days. It is all because HRDC Nainital had given every day a new taste for us so that this program has been completed successfully. Moreover, Honorable Director madam and respected Deputy Director Sir were very cooperative, humble, polite, supportive, and kind during the whole course. Faculty Induction Program (FIP-16) from 23rd February to 28th March organized by UGC-HRDC,Kumaun University, has been an excellent program and worth attending. The selection of different courses covers a large field ranging from education, ICT, leadership to environment issues, fundamental rights to stress mangaement. The resource persons invited were also very veteran in their respective fields and delivered quite an inspiring session throughput the course. The whole program designed aims at achieving an all round development of teachers. I personally am very much influenced by the lectures and the course as a whole.

• About Kumaun University

Kumaun University admission 2023 to BDS and other medical specialised courses based on National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) scores. The  NEET UG 2023 seat matrix for round 2 counselling was released on mcc.nic.in by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The deadline for registration was August 14, 2023, while the deadline for choice filling and locking was August 15, 2023. On August 16 and 17, the NEET UG seat distribution/ allocation 2023 took place. On August 18, 2023, the NEET UG seat allocation results for the Kumaun University admission 2023 were made public. The documents have to be added to the MCC site on August 19, 2023.

Kumaun University PG admission for medical courses is based on NEET PG scores, which are then followed by the counselling process. Students who missed out on participating in round one of counselling were able to participate in round two before August 22, 2023. 

The NEET UG result and cutoff 2023 were released on June 13, 2023. Candidates could download their scorecards from the official website with the help of login credentials. The NEET UG exam for KU Nainital admission was held on May 7, 2023. Candidates willing to get admission have to qualify for the NEET examination and the results of this entrance exam and Kumaun University NEET cut-off are to be considered during the admission process. Kumaun University to offer admission to MD and MS courses based on NEET PG 2023 results. NBE announced the Kumaun University NEET PG results on the official website on March 14, 2023. Candidates could access their results by logging in to nbe.edu.in with the help of an application ID and password. 

Kumaun University (KU) is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC), and approved by NAAC and MHRD. It is a public university approved by UGC. 49 government institutions comprise the 65+ Kumaun University affiliated colleges. The university was established in 1973 in Nainital and is a residential-cum-affiliating university. Located on 160 acres, the  KU Nainital campus  are situated in 3 locations that collectively make up the university. These campuses are the SSJ Campus in Almora, the campus at Bhimtal, and the D.S.B. Campus in Nainital. A unified, high-quality education for the people of Uttarakhand is what Kumaun University Nainital strives to give. This objective is to enhance and accomplish adequate coordination among the dispersed, enormous distance education resources. 

The   Kumaun University courses and fees are 366 programmes spread across streams such as arts, science, computer applications, management, education, social work, business administration, etc. Some of the most popular  Kumaun University courses offered are B.A, B.Sc, LLB, B.Pharm, B.Ed, M.A, M.Sc, LLM, M.Pharm, MBA, MCA and PhD. The university offers distance learning in several schools and five regional centres. It aspires to be India’s most vibrant, energetic, responsive and acclaimed university. The  Kumaun University fees structure  ranges from Rs 18,000 to Rs 2.36 lakh approximately. The Sahu Jain Trust Scholarship is a benefit offered by the KU to deserving students based on their merit. 

For  Kumaun University admission to various UG and PG courses, the university accepts CUET/ CAT/ CMAT/ MAT scores. Candidates have to fill out the online application form and pay the fees along with document submission as per the guidelines specified by the authorities. The university also conducts an entrance exam for which students have to fill out the Kumaun University examination form before the deadline. Admission to KU Nainital programmes is based on the candidates' previous academic merit as well as entrance exam scores, depending on the programme opted for and its requirements. For  Kumaun University course admissions , candidates first have to meet the basic admission criteria laid down by Kumaun University, that is having at least 50% in 10+ 2 for UG and 50% in graduation for PG, for being eligible for application. For PhD admission process at Kumaun University, candidates must at least have a master's degree with 55% aggregate. The selection is done based on the Research Degree Entrance Test (RDET). 

The placement at KU Nainital is satisfactory where out of 2,748 students, 1,150 were placed for the UG courses. During the   Kumaun University placements , the student received an average package of Rs 1.5 LPA. 310 students were placed, out of a total of 1,100 students at the PG course placements. Students received an average package of Rs 2 LPA at the KU Nainital placements for PG courses. The  Kumaun University top recruiters were Accenture, Wipro, Oracle, Chegg, Cvent, Indiamart, Dabur, etc.
