What we offer
This program is aimed at students who want a rigorous training in public affairs which will prepare them for jobs in regional and international public, state-affiliated and NGOs organizations.
This program is aimed at in-service public and third sector professionals with a career trajectory aimed at the most senior levels in government, state affiliated and NGOs organizations.
We offer bespoke courses to meet the needs of regional organizations in the public and NGO sectors. Often this in response to short-term training needs which draws on the research expertise of our Faculty.

Our Faculty combines international scholars and Central Asian experts who engage in scholarship and research informed teaching to graduate students who will raise the quality of public administration and policy in the region and internationally
The immediate hinterland for the Graduate School of Public Policy is Kazakhstan but we are increasingly attracting international students with an interest in Central Asian public sector studies. Kazakhstan is also seen as an innovator for its neighboring countries

Professional information.
Dr. Xie received the Ph.D. in Genetics from Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. During Ph.D. studies, Dr. Xie discovered a strong promoter for bioengineering from viral genome which was awarded a USA patent. During his postdoctoral training, Dr. Xie discovered novel diagnostic and prognostic markers of prostate cancer such as PIM-1L and nMET. Dr. Xie also found mechanisms of multiple drug resistance, novel signaling networks in prostate, breast cancer and leukemia. Dr. Xie has supervised students to carry out cancer research and to publish their research results since he joined the Nazarbayev University as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Xie’s current research is focusing on molecular and biochemical mechanisms of cancer and other diseases and precision therapeutics.
