Describe : You must provide a statement/sentence not a single one word

Explain: You must provide a reason for the information given - re-read your answer and make sure you have said why and not just described what

Compare : You must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the similarities and/or differences between topics being examin ed. Use comparative words like wider not wide, or say whereas write about both parts of the question

Calculate : You must determine a number from given facts, figures or information

Predict : You must indicate what may happen based on available information - look at data and find the last change and apply this to the next predicted change

S uggest : You must apply your knowledge and understanding to a new situation. Don't panic thing about what you have been taught which connects to the unusual situation in the question and make the link clear in your answer
