Don't seem to respond
Don't respond to signed-for letters. Only phone line seems to go permanently to answerphone (and they don't call back). Placed a student as a sublet despite being told explicitly that the tenant was not allowed to host in that property. Very strange operation.

EF language travel does pay their debt
EF language travel Denmark have now been unable/wouldn't repay money they owe me for months. They run a so-called Credit system, where they get their travelers to deposit money that can be used to buy trips and experiences when you are traveling with them. It just doesn't work that you don't want to pay money back when the EF itself is to blame for not being able to participate in a trip.

Hi Lars, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I understand our colleagues in Denmark are working on your issue and encourage you to contact us directly on +45 33 13 16 00 if you wanted to talk it through. Thanks, Simon @ EF
The courses are worth recommending
The courses are worth recommending, we came across the course by accident and we were not sure whether our daughter would be able to cope with being abroad for so long on her own. The consultants from the office helped us a lot and explained everything and told us exactly what and how. My daughter is very satisfied with the course. Thanks to this, she was able to speak English. I recommend it wholeheartedly

Bristol is Best
I've been working for EF Bristol for a few years now and I love it here. The location is prime, the building is beautiful and the staff are all friends. Most importantly, the students always leave with a mixture of satisfaction with their progress, gratitude for the experience, and bittersweet sadness that their time here has to eventually come to an end!

Not perfect, not bad
+ : good Cambridge class, nice to meet new friends around the world, the city is amazing - : a lot of French speakers, a lot of problems with the accommodation and the host families, still a little bit expensive

A wonderful partnership
I have been a host parent for EF Bristol for several years now and they have always sent me excellent students. All of them, wherever they now are, are part of my family because of the bond forged between us. All of this would not have been possible without the superb accommodation staff at the Bristol school who have listened to my requests regarding the age range etc of students required.Throughout this time they have been supportive and very helpful.
Do not recommend EF Miami
I won't recommend going to EF Miami. Several things about my stay were disappointing and in general lacking quality. On top of this I have been very disappointed by EF's handling of the situation, both the staff at the school but also the staff from the Danish office.
Date of experience : January 05, 2024
EF SINGAPORE EXPERIENCE
Traveling with EF is one of the best thing that I've done so far ! In my recent linguistique journey in Singapore, everyone was nice. I met amazing people there, the EF crew was nice and caring, and the teachers were really kind and very competent. I felt like I progressed more during my two weeks experience in Mandarin, that I would have done on my own. Moreover I have already travelled with EF to Seoul couple months ago, and everytime I always felt like I fitted in. I really recommend it for those who love traveling and discovering new horizons. It brought me happiness and I sure will plan to have another EF journey !

EF Sydney for 2 weeks
EF Sydney for 2 weeks I love the varieties the class. We discussed many problems that are happening in the world with different points of view. But, in case of working in couple, it can be easy to be left out. For example, one of them goes to toilet and another person have to wait for 5 minutes. However, overall, the staffs, host family, the education materials are excellent.
EF MANCHESTER for 2 weeks

The best experience
I believe going to Toronto with EF was one of the best trips I've ever had. However, I'm disappointed because they told me in my country that the host family would be a maximum of one hour away, but when I arrived in Canada, I found out my host family is actually 1.5 hours away.

Auckland. Abused, ignored. Stay away
Terrible experience. Before I left my home country I heard about problems with the host family's in Auckland. I said that to EF and they answered me that they know about problems in host family's in Auckland but they will check it extra carefully for me and "give me a family that follow our high standards". I was placed in a host family with a insane old women. She was labile and really mean to me. When I should change my accommodation, she hits me! EF didn't care about this at all. No good new accommodation, no support, no money.. nothing. They also continued to have other students in that family. Then they ignored me for the rest of my stay. Now when I'm leaving, suddenly everyone asks "what can we do for you?" After I wrote a bad review on Google maps. This is one of the most horrible experiences in my life! I want to warn everyone for this company.

EF Sydney Excellent organization in welcoming new students. Through the first simple interview you are placed within a class with your level of English. Great all school areas to be able to spend time with friends among various activities such as Ping pong and billiards. Also recommended the service to get directly to accommodation on the first day without any worries Highly recommended

Why teach with us?
Our teachers are our real-life heroes. Here they share their stories.
We know what it takes to teach
EF Education First is a world leader in international education. Our mission is simple: to open the world through education.
Combining 55+ years of teaching experience, we have distilled everything we have learned about what it takes to be a great educator into our online teaching platform. Be empowered to develop your teaching skills, grow your income and build your business.
Since 1965, EF has helped millions of people learn a language. In 1997, EF launched an online English school with live teachers available 24/7. With a global network of 600+ schools and offices in 100+ countries, we are committed to putting education first.
Ready to start?
We believe you have the potential to be a fantastic online English teacher. Take the first step today.
What experience do I need to be successful as an online English teacher?
Teaching English online is a great option for new teachers.
Many teachers make the transition from the physical classroom to online, but many online teachers arrive with little or no previous teaching experience.
An interest in learning and development is always good to see. Maybe you coach a local sports team, or you’re a new parent or grandparent?
Whatever your previous life experience, if you love helping people better understand the world around them, you could have what it takes to be a great online English teacher.
Do I need a TEFL certification to teach English online?
TEFL stands for “Teaching English as a Foreign Language”, and it is a standard certification for English teachers.
To teach English with EF Teach Online you’ll need to have at least a 40- hour TEFL certificate or equivalent from an accredited source. It should be a general certificate rather than a skills-specific version, for example, a TEFL in Grammar.
If you don’t already have a TEFL you can submit your details in our online form and then start working on gaining your certification. This will need to be completed prior to teaching on the EF online teaching platform
The cost of the TEFL is not reimbursed.
How long is the contract for teaching online?
The contract for teaching online is offered for a six-month term with options for auto-renewal for each party. Teaching online is an independent contractor position.
Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, as no withholding is taken from payments.
Do I need to speak other languages to teach English online?
No, not at all. All teaching is done in English and all our teaching materials are written in English too. You’ll be required to fill out a short feedback form at the end of the lesson for students to review, but this is done in English too.
What is the application process to teach English with EF?
It’s pretty simple really. First, complete our form. Enter your details and upload your resume, degree certificate, and TEFL qualification - if you have it.
We’ll review your details and then if we’d like to proceed we’ll invite you to an initial online call.
Find out more about becoming a teacher here.

Past forward: Rapha's special-edition Flandrien collection
EF Education-EasyPost and EF Education-Cannondale will showcase a special edition switch out kit at this year’s Tour of Flanders.
March 29, 2024
In Flanders, they call cyclists who are at their best in bad weather or difficult racing conditions Flandriens .
On Sunday, over cobblestone climbs like the Koppenberg, Oude Kwaremont, and Paterberg, across windswept fields, and in front of hundreds of thousands of roaring fans, EF Pro Cycling will debut Rapha’s new Flandrien collection at the the toughest Flemish race of them all: De Ronde van Vlaanderen .
With a design inspired by classic racing jerseys, the kit launches Rapha’s 20th anniversary campaign, ‘Past Forward .’ It is an homage to all of the riders who have rattled over the cobbles and pushed through wind and muck to win glory in the northern classics—and to future generations of Flandriens.
With our two Ronde van Vlaanderen champions on the start line , backed by formidable women and men who have dedicated months of training to prepare for this day, we will proudly race over the Flemish hills in our Rapha Flandrien kit .
“De Ronde is a masterpiece of cycling, something holy and sacred for the Flemish people,” says 2019 winner Alberto Bettiol . “I love the passion that they have. They wait for one year for this race, and I feel a sense of responsibility to do my best for them, because of the history, because they write my name on the asphalt. I am one of the few guys in the peloton who have seen what it means to win the Ronde van Vlaanderen. I got from the Flemish people even more passion, even more excitement, even more desire to race here in this countryside. The Flandriens grew up with this mighty Ronde van Vlaanderen. Now, I am a part of their history. This is a feeling you only have here in Flanders and in a few other parts of the world.”
2017 winner Coryn Labecki and her teammates will race with bravery and determination worthy of the Lion of Flanders.
"Flanders represents the truest essence or meaning of road cycling,” she says. “It is just a cool frickin race. This is the standard and the highest level of racing. There is just so much history in the classics. They are some of the hardest and most technical road races in the world. I love cobbled climbs. I love the challenge and the technicality of it and then fans just add an extra dimension to it that not all races have.”
We are excited to show those fans our Rapha Flandrien kit.
The Flandrien Collection will be available for purchase from April 2, 2024, with exclusive 24-hour early access for RCC members

Russia accuses Ukraine of striking same Moscow building that was hit by drone days ago

TALLINN, Estonia (AP) — A drone attacked a skyscraper in central Moscow early Tuesday for the second time in around 48 hours, damaging the building’s facade and further underscoring the Russian capital’s vulnerability. Russian authorities accused Ukraine of staging the assault.
An adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy tweeted that Moscow “is rapidly getting used to a full-fledged war,” without confirming or denying Kyiv’s involvement.
Russian officials have claimed that the repeated attacks on the capital region reflect failures in Ukraine’s counteroffensive to recapture Russian-occupied territory. Zelenskyy said over the weekend that “the war is gradually coming back to Russian territory,” but he stopped short of taking responsibility.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said it shot down two Ukrainian drones outside Moscow and jammed another, sending it crashing into a skyscraper and damaging the building’s facade. The attack happened in a business district of high-rise office buildings known as Moscow City, west of the Kremlin.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said the drone crashed into the same building that was damaged Sunday in a similar attack. IQ-Quarter, located 7.2 kilometers (4.5 miles) from the Kremlin, houses multiple government agencies, including the headquarters of the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The mayor said the attack on Tuesday did not result in any casualties.
It wasn’t clear why the same building was hit twice in a row. In both attacks, the Russian military said the drones that hit the skyscraper were jammed before crashing, which elicited questions from even the staunchest supporters of the Kremlin.
Margarita Simonyan, chief editor of the state-funded TV channel RT, said in a social media post that “a drone hitting the same tower for the second time in a row, where three federal ministries are located, at least requires explaining the comments that the electronic warfare downed them all.”
Asked about how protected the Russian capital is, given that supposedly jammed drones hit the same building, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov redirected the question to the Defense Ministry, saying only that “the threat exists and measures are being taken.”
Sobyanin said the drone that struck the building Tuesday hit the 21st floor, one of the floors housing the Economic Development ministry. Photos from the scene showed several panels of glass missing, exposing the charred insides of the building. According to the mayor, 150 square meters (about 1,600 square feet) of the building’s glass facade were damaged.
Russian news agency Interfax cited Darya Levchenko, an adviser to the economic development minister, as saying that the ministry’s staff worked from home Tuesday while damage to the office was assessed.
The Russian military also said Ukrainian forces tried to attack two of its warships in the Black Sea, using maritime drones. Three drones targeted two patrol vessels, Sergei Kotov and Vasily Bykov, 340 kilometers (210 miles) southwest of the Russian-controlled city of Sevastopol on the Crimean Peninsula , the Defense Ministry reported. All three drones were destroyed, the report said.
The governor of the Sevastopol region, Mikhail Razvozhaev, said a drone was shot down about 10 kilometers (6 miles) east of the city on Tuesday evening, causing a brush fire.
The attacks on Moscow and Crimea, which Russia illegally annexed from Ukraine in 2014, follow a deadly Russian missile strike on Kryvyi Rih , Zelenskyy’s hometown in central Ukraine.
Monday’s strike partially destroyed a residential building and killed seven people. Dozens more were wounded.
Russia’s land and sea border with Ukraine spans more than 2,200 kilometers (1,400 miles), meaning that much of the line separating the two countries is not covered by defense radar, which creates an opening for drones.
“Depending on where they are launched from, if there is a way to get through the initial line of defenses, then there will probably be a very poor ability to track them in real time,” said professor Justin Bronk, an expert in military air power and technology at the Royal United Services Institute, a defense think tank in London.
The most advanced defense systems around Moscow “are typically optimized for ballistic missile defense and are looking at targets and objects which are coming in at extremely high speeds and from very high angles,” Bronk said.
Unlike ballistic missiles, drones can fly low and slow. That presents a challenge for radar systems, which scan higher altitudes and filter out slow-moving objects such as birds.
In other developments Tuesday, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, with Iranian-made Shahed drones , according to Kharkiv Gov. Oleh Syniehubov.
One drone struck a three-story building at an educational institution in the Saltivka district, partially destroying the top two floors of the building, as well as the roof. No one was inside at the time.
Three more drone strikes hit the area of a sports complex in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv. A two-story building in the complex was partially damaged, and a 63-year-old security guard was wounded, according to Syniehubov.
Russian forces shelled the city of Kherson and hit a medical facility, according to regional Gov. Roman Mrochko, killing a doctor and wounding one nurse.
“A young, talented doctor was killed, who was on his first day of work after internship. It was his first working day, which ended without even starting,” Tetiana Karchevych, Kherson region health department head, said at the site of the attack.
Ukraine’s presidential office reported Tuesday morning that at least 12 civilians had been killed in the country over the previous 24 hours, and 104 people injured.
The office reported that Monday’s attack on Kryvyi Rih killed seven people, including a 10-year-old girl, making it one of the deadliest attacks on civilians in recent weeks. Russian rockets struck a residential high-rise building and a university building in the attack, which also wounded 81 people, including seven children.
Hanna Arhirova in Kyiv, Ukraine, and Yuras Karmanau in Berlin, contributed to this report.

The origins of Easter. Perhaps the most important time in the Christian calendar, Easter is known by much of the world as the holiday that celebrates Jesus Christ's resurrection. Lent, which is the 40-day period building up to Easter Sunday, is a time of self-reflection that's supposed to mirror the time Jesus spent in the wilderness.
