To become a soldier, they need to undergo rigorous physical training. They continuously exercise for hours and go through various physical exercises. This can be exceptionally tedious and challenging for recruits.

Lack of supply

Soldiers need to go for extended missions in remote areas in challenging situations. The lack of basic amenities like proper food makes the soldiers’ lives even more difficult in remote areas. However, they carry on their duties in such challenging conditions.

Extreme weather conditions

Soldiers are posted in extreme weather conditions like freezing cold, scorching heat and heavy rains. They fight between dense forests and snow-covered mountains. Furthermore, they are always on the field protecting their country.

Lack of bulletproof equipment

During the time of war, soldiers are constantly exposed to bullets. They should be equipped with bulletproof clothes and shields in such a situation. Unfortunately, in many countries, including India, we see a shortage of bulletproof equipment.

If I were a Soldier Essay for Children (650 Words)

March 3, 2020 by Study Mentor 5 Comments

A soldier is an unsung hero who is never talked about. He gives up his comfort and slumber for the nation to sleep soundly. An epitome of sacrifice, love and compassion; they lie in dearth of comforts. They live a life full of hardships and obstacles. They deserve ultimate honor and respect for the service they render to the nation.

If only I could become a soldier one day, I would wear my nation’s name as pride on my body. My uniform would instill patriotism in me. The day I become a soldier, I would make my parents and my mentors proud.

soldier essay

I will never let my nation being looked upon let my nation being looked upon by anybody and make it a priority to serve my nation. Come what may, I will not shirk away from my duty. My duty will be above all my personal issues. Uniform or no uniform, one can serve the nation in many ways. Even when I would be on a holiday, I would be ready to go down for my nation when it requires me to.

I want my country to celebrate each day as a festival. Even if it means laying my life down, I would be ready to do that. As a citizen of India, I would have used the resources, money and time that my motherland devoted on me.

It becomes my duty to repay her with utmost sacrifice for her protection. Whatever my future would have held for me, would be a gift of my country. No man with harmful intentions would set foot in my territory. They would have to go over my body before harming my country. I am highly grateful to my country for letting me take birth in this land of hermits.

Soldiers have to undergo rigorous mental and physical training to become a soldier fit for serving the nation. I am ready to train hard and serve my nation.

Physical training for becoming a soldier is a long period. It can range from about 8 months to 2 years depending on the regiment or unit the candidate aspires to join. Soldiers are allowed to see their families during this period.

This trains them to do their chores on their own. Battling home sickness is another thing they are trained to do. I know a soldier`s life is hard but the respect and honour I will get looks worth training. If I were ever to become a soldier, I would make sure that I contribute to my nation as much as I can. Even though I will miss my family, as I will be staying away from them, but it will all be worth it when I see their proud faces at the end.

I would work incessantly for the upliftment of the society. As a soldier, I would try my best to develop an honest, genuine and a moral character. Dishonesty and adultery is not expected out of a soldier.

It would make helping, caring and sympathizing an integral part of my character. I would try my best to help and as many people as I can and make sure that no one is disappointed with the services of amid forces.

In times of battle, I would step up and volunteer my services for the battlefield. I would like to die the death of a martyr rather than a coward. In the battlefield, I would never back off from helping my other soldier’s comrades.

if i were a soldier

I would make sure that no civilian is unarmed of any country involved gets harmed in the war. I would keep my ethics above everything and try to shield my nation from any harm which might be caused to her.

I would try my best to become an ideal officer who is looked upon with dignity by his juniors and care by seniors. I would try to become honest, sincere and courageous.

I would fight off the enemy with fearlessness. I would never surrender to the enemy. I would never betray my country. All the secrets and information would be safe with me for sure. Treachery is the last thing I would like to reward my country with after so much it has done for me.

In times of natural disasters when armed forces are called upon to save the stranded citizens, I would volunteer my services for the nation. I would provide necessities to all my countrymen in times like these. I would work with my team mates in coherence and keep up the team spirits. During Naxalite or terrorists attack, whenever I am called upon for help, I would strategically take down the unsocial elements from the society.

In case I ever stumble upon a traitor, god help that person because I would hunt them down and make sure that they get the highest punishment under law.

In my eyes, there is no place for a traitor and he does not deserve to even live on this pious soul. Even when he is sent to jail, he will be eating food out of taxpayer’s money which I absolutely abhor.

Soldiers guard our borders, international waters and international air space. They guard our ‘Line of Control’- the immediate border which is shared by other countries with us. In times of direst stress, they do not flinch even a bit and keep on working alertly to spot any mishap.

If they sense any suspicious activity undergoing, they do everything in their jurisdiction to check any nefarious activity. They guard the borders from any possible infiltration, smuggling or harmful attacks.

I would like myself to be associated with the valor soldiers are recognized with. Songs of their chivalry and stories of their adventures are always amazing to listen to. I would like to be a part of those legends passed on from generation to generation.

India also has some special forces which are trained to mentally and physically handle any situation effectively. These forces are designated to carry out tasks which are secret and undisclosed to the public.

For example, the recent surgical strikes against Pakistan were carried out with utmost precision and accuracy. I would also like to be a part of such forces though it is a tough task to clear the screening process.

An Essay on My Aim in Life to Become a Soldier [With PDF]

Hello readers, Today we are going to present an essay on My Aim in Life to Become a Soldier. I hope you like it. So let’s dive in!

my aim to become a soldier feature image

There are many careers that do not take a lot of thought before deciding to embark on that path in life. They are popular, they help you earn a lot of money, and you get to be home with your family every night of the week.

Those facets of those careers are very attractive and tempting to do. Yet I decided to become a soldier because there was something unique about it. That uniqueness sets it apart from those other more desired careers and it takes quite a lot of thought before making a decision.

Where other careers you get to have a long life, enjoy the fruits of your labor, that isn’t always possible when one becomes a soldier. When one signs up they are saying that they are willing to sacrifice the rewards that other careers have to offer in exchange for protecting those careers from enemy nations.

It is a very hard decision to make but it is a decision that can be fulfilling because it is not a selfish decision to make. As I thought about it, I felt that I would be doing something that counts by becoming a soldier.

My job and my life would have meaning to it because I have chosen to be the person on the front lines, in a line of defense for my country and my fellow citizens. It is hard to trump the feeling one gets when thinking about those aspects of being a soldier.

This does not mean that by aiming to be a soldier I feel superior to my friends, loved ones or fellow citizens. It just means that I need something more out of life than just a 9 to 5 job and a weekly paycheck.

It also means that I want my life to count for something that is bigger than me. The way to get that is by striving and working hard to become a soldier for my country. This is not a career for everyone.

Those that do not choose this career are not less of a citizen than me. It is hard to explain how becoming a soldier is right for me and not right for my brother or my friends. It is not easy to put one’s life on the line when called into battle.

Especially when there are more lucrative careers I could have chosen. I also know that my living conditions are not going to be the best in the world or that I will have a lot of money to spend when I am on leave.

Those sacrifices are worth it when I think of how my friends and family will be safe and are able to enjoy their careers. Yes, soldiers tend to act up a lot and make a bad name for themselves when they are on leave and enjoy a night at the pub.

When those actions are put into perspective it is understandable that they will act that way as they never know when they will stop being a soldier and be buried 6 feet under. It is a hard fact to live with and that hard fact takes some hard living to deal with it properly.

As I think about it, I would have it no other way. I may not get the rewards in life that other careers offer nor will I get a beautiful home but to me being a soldier is worth the cost.

It is a great career and with some luck, there will not be a war anytime soon and I can retire to a peaceful existent knowing I served my country well and honorably without paying the ultimate cost.

Being a soldier is a great way to live and see the country, the world and a few other benefits most people never get to experience no matter how much money they make. With everything involved with being a soldier it is a great way to make a living and live life to its fullest.

How was the essay on My Aim in Life to Become a Soldier, I hope you like it if so do comment below your thoughts and let me know.

Life of Soldiers Essay

If I have to describe the life of soldiers in a single word; I would have described it as “patriotic”. Though, some of you would like to describe it as “tough” and some of you even as “risky”. In true sense, a soldier’s life is a collection of all the three. A soldier’s life is patriotic, because, s/he is overwhelmed with the thought of protecting the motherland, even at the cost of his/her own life; tough, as they have to stay away from family and friends for months, that too in some of the most arduous conditions; risky because they secure our borders and are under constant threat from infiltrators and terror outfits.

A soldier, apart from routine posting assignment, takes part in relief operations as well. In fact, when the situation slips out of control of local authorities, soldiers are the ones who are called first. Soldiers are well trained and equipped with vital equipments to deal with any natural or manmade disaster. Despite facing tough terrains and risking his/her life a solider has a more meaningful existence.

Essay on Soldiers are Real Heroes – Essay 2 (300 words)

Introduction

Soldiers are rightly referred to as the real heroes. Discipline, determination, robust physique, mental strength, good intentions and love for their countrymen – they possess all the qualities we look for in a hero. Soldiers have immense love for their nation. It is this love that encourages them to join this profession and serve their nation. The training they undergo to become a soldier refines and strengthens them.

Discipline is one of the most attractive qualities in a person. This is the first thing that the soldiers are taught in their training camps. If a person does not possess discipline, he cannot take on the responsibility of protecting his country.

They are taught to value time and make the best use of it. They require waking up in the wee hours of the morning and exercise. They need to follow a strict routine each day. Anyone who fails to do so is punished severely. All this is done to inculcate indiscipline in them.

Determination

Soldiers are extremely determined. They are faced with numerous challenges but they overcome all these as they are determined to achieve their goals. One of the first challenges faced by anyone who chooses this profession is to stay away from their family. The next challenge is the test of their physical strength. They put in immense effort to build physical strength. They undergo rigorous training only because they are determined to serve their country.

Just like a hero, soldiers possess a good physic and are mentally strong. They are known for their physical and mental strength that help them take on big battles. These qualities add to their appeal.

Thus, soldiers possess all the qualities of a real hero. We must look up to them and inculcate these qualities to enhance our personality and take our life in the right direction.

Essay on Challenges in the Life of a Soldier – Essay 3 (400 words)

Life of soldiers is not easy. However, they are taught to keep moving and never give up no matter what the situation. They are faced with a lot of difficulties and challenges that need to be fought with courage.

Challenges Faced by Soldiers

Here is a look at some of the biggest challenges in the life of soldiers.

  • Staying Away from Family

Soldiers need to be on duty for most part of the year. They need to be away from their family and friends all this while. This is one of the most challenging parts of being a soldier. It can be emotionally disturbing.

Soldiers hardly get any leaves. Whether is it a festival or a special family occasion, they are seldom able to celebrate it with their loved ones. Even if they manage to get leaves somehow, the possibility of the leaves being called off cannot be ruled out. They need to report back immediately in case of emergency.

  • Physical Training

This can be exhausting and challenging especially for the new recruits. Strength building exercises continue throughout their lives until they retire.

  • Lack of Supplies

Many times, soldiers need to go on long missions to remote areas. Being cut off from the main cities and towns, these areas lack even the basic facilities. It is difficult to live in such places. Lack of proper supply of food in these areas makes the life of the soldiers even more difficult. However, they continue to fulfil their duty amid all these difficulties.

  • Weather Adversities

Soldiers are also posted in areas with extreme weather conditions. They need to fight amid heavy rains, extreme cold and scorching sun. They need to fight their way through snow covered mountains and dense forests. They are required to be on the field day in and day out, guarding their country at all times. The adversity of weather can be a big challenge for them.

  • Lack of Bullet Proof Equipments

Soldiers are constantly exposed to bullets during wars. It is essential to provide them bullet proof clothes and shields. However, in many countries including India there is a dearth of bullet proof equipments. Fighting without these is a big challenge for the soldiers.

Thus, the life of soldiers is full of challenges. However, they do their best to overcome all the challenges and take it as their responsibility to guard their country and countrymen. They fulfill their responsibility with a smile on their faces.

The citizens of a country can live in peace as long as it has a strong army base that has soldiers who take it as their duty to:

  • Serve the Country Selflessly

There is no doubt about the fact that a person who decides to join the army loves his country dearly. He is well aware about the difficulties he may have to face during his journey as a soldier however he still decides to tread this path.

Soldiers need to undergo rigorous training for years in order to become capable of battling it out in the battleground. One of the first things a soldier is taught is to serve his country selflessly. No matter what the situation is, soldiers must think about the interest of their country before they think about that of their family or themselves. An ideal soldier does just this. Only someone who has the ability to put his personal interests aside and is willing to sacrifice everything for his country can be called an ideal soldier.

  • Protect Country’s Honour

The honour of the country and that of the national flag is of supreme importance for an ideal soldier. He can go to any extent to protect it. He is not scared to fight amid adversities to save the honour of his country and protect his countrymen. He would not even hesitate laying his life to protect the country’s honour. We are lucky to have an army full of such ideal soldiers. They have been truly inspiring for the soldiers to be as well as the general public.,

  • Ensure Peaceful Environment

An ideal soldier takes it as his responsibility to ensure a safe and peaceful environment in the country. Soldiers do not just guard the border and fight in the battle grounds during wars they are there to serve the citizens in different kinds of emergency situations. Be it a terrorist attack, flood or any other natural calamity or intense problem induced by unlawful activities, soldiers are called to handle almost every difficult situation. An ideal soldier never hesitates to render help in any situation. He gladly serves the citizens and ensures they live peacefully.

There had been numerous instances where in the army had been called to help in civilian matters or rescue operations. It is only because of the help rendered by them along with local authorities; the situations come under control.

  • Stay Vigilant

A soldier is always on duty whether he is at the battle field or not. The duty of an ideal soldier is to stay vigilant at all times.

The duty of an ideal soldier is to be there for his country. He is expected to serve his country selflessly and be ready to sacrifice his life for its honour. We salute such noble souls and look up to them for inspiration.

Long Essay on Life of Soldiers – Essay 5 (600 words)

We look up to the soldiers with pride as they are selfless beings who are always ready to protect their country’s honour. They stay away from their family and friends just to ensure their country is guarded at all times and that their countrymen can live in peace.

Epitome of Physical and Mental Strength

Soldiers are known for their physical and mental strength. They can be referred to as the epitome of mental and physical strength; they are well-built. The physical strength of a person is taken into consideration while taking him on board as a soldier. He is then trained rigorously to enhance it and prepare him to fight battles tirelessly.

The training camps help the soldiers to build physical strength. A soldier who is dedicated to serve his country continues to train himself to stay physically fit so as to do his best on the field.

Similarly, it is essential for a soldier to possess mental strength and have a good presence of mind. The screening determines the candidates’ mental strength. This is further developed and strengthened once they are selected. Being mentally strong is as important as the physical strength in order to emerge victorious in the battlefield.

Wars and Battlefields

Soldiers need to be ready for battling it out in the field at all times. There is always a possibility of war among different countries. Thus, the soldiers can be called to defend the country at any time. India had been attacked several times by its neighbouring countries. Our soldiers have proved their mettle in these wars. They have fought bravely and we are proud of them. Here are some of the wars fought by the Indian soldiers:

  • Indo China War 1962: Also known as the Sino-Indian War, this war was fought between India and China on the pretext of a disputed Himalayan border. However, this was not the only reason why China attacked India. There were many other issues too. During this war, the soldiers fought in harsh climatic conditions on the mountains. The war continued for almost a month and China emerged winner.
  • Indo Pak War of 1965: India and Pakistan have always been at loggerheads. While India tries to maintain peace and use peaceful means to settle any kind of issue between the two countries, Pakistan is known for using force and attacking our country. It called for a war with India for the first time in 1965. The war continued for seventeen days and resulted in thousands of causalities. It was called off only after the intervention of USA and Soviet Union.
  • Indo Pak War of 1971: Pakistan attacked the Indian border but the Indian army was quick to respond to it. Our soldiers fought bravely and won the battle after fighting for almost two weeks. However, numerous people were killed and several of them were injured on both the sides during this war. Pakistan especially suffered huge losses during this war. It lost a major chunk of its army, navy and air force personnel.
  • Kargil War: The war was fought between India and Pakistan in the year 1999. It started when the Pakistani troops crossed the Line of Control and crept into India’s Kargil district. Indian soldiers acted bravely and wisely during this war. Their mental and physical strength helped India get back the region encroached by the Pakistani military troops. Pakistani military was shaken badly after this war as it suffered a major defeat.

We are proud of our soldiers and are grateful to them for ensuring a peaceful environment. We respect them with all our heart and salute them for their heroic acts. They are the true heroes.

They have the stamina and determination to survive any emergency or calamity.

A soldier has indeed a very difficult life. As you read and watch more about their lives, it gets more difficult to put it in words. Here is a thoughtful essay for class 3 on the life of a soldier.

Every soldier has a normal childhood like us civilians. The only difference comes in the thought process. We think of becoming doctors, engineers, artists, etc., but the one who thinks of going to borders to serve the nation becomes a courageous soldier. It requires a lot of courage to choose this path. You cannot think of it as a career; it is a service to the nation. Their lives are full of struggles and hardships. Their selflessness is almost next to godliness. Almost every nation in the world has its line of forces that commissions many soldiers every year.

Importance Of Soldiers

The importance of a soldier cannot be described in a few words. Rather, it takes a large heart to understand the duties and roles of the soldiers. Soldiers on our border check on all kinds of trespassing activities by enemies. There are soldiers in the air, on water, and on the land. They are omnipresent to assure the safety of common people like us. They are given postings every few years, depending on their ranks and field. Soldiers travel from one place to another, but their agenda of keeping us safe remains constant. They ensure the smooth functioning of national safety and security.

What Are The Duties Of Soldiers?

Soldiers have innumerable duties to safeguard the country’s honour. Thus, they obey their commanding officers’ orders and ensure the battalion’s smooth functioning. Besides, they perform tasks assigned to them by their senior officers, complete them, and achieve their goals with their team.

Soldiers need to work in a team because teamwork makes them achieve their goals faster and more efficiently. For this, they keep themselves fit all the time to survive in adverse conditions. They wear clothing that distinguishes them from civilians but at the same time camouflages them from enemies in their field. They are highly trained to use all kinds of weaponry and transportation to survive a war. They help humanitarian causes by providing medical aid and food supplies in disaster-affected areas. One of the most important responsibilities of soldiers is when they take their oath, they promise to sacrifice their lives if required.

What Are The Challenges Faced By Soldiers?

A soldier’s life is full of challenges. These challenges require a lot of mental and physical strength.

1. Staying Away From Family

Soldiers spend a lot of time away from their families. They miss out on many happy and sad occasions in their family while serving the country.

2. Rigorous Training

Once a person passes the tedious process of interviews and examinations, he/she is sent for a rigorous training process to become a soldier. The training process has many exhausting activities, but they still get up every day for the same drill with the same enthusiasm to serve the country.

3. Adverse Weather Conditions

Soldiers are often posted to places with unpredictable weather. They have to survive through the biting cold, scorching heat, heavy rains, or any harsh weather conditions. Many places are not easily approachable, which sometimes leads to an insufficient supply of necessities and weaponry.

4. Constant Transfers

One of the biggest challenges soldiers go through is transfers. They need to serve at different postings at different locations. Some soldiers enjoy this process, and some find it difficult to move as it hampers their family setting and stability.

5. Always Active

Being a soldier is tough for any person. They need to be attentive all the time. Sometimes, it comes at a cost of their rest and sleep too. In the wake of war or calamity, they need to work extra hours.

After reading the essay on a soldier’s life, the kids will understand that their comforts are gifts from our brave soldiers. It will give them insight into their lives and inspire them to do well in life. It will encourage them to do something to make our soldiers’ lives easier. It will give them a sense of pride and patriotism. An essay on our brave soldiers can be a life-changing moment for children.

The life of a soldier isn’t easy. By acknowledging their work, we can behave as responsible citizens and help our country grow and flourish. We should empathise with soldiers and their families who give up so much for the sake of our comforts and the protection of our country.

Soldier Speech in English

Our brothers, fighting for the nation, are the soldiers who are the protectors of this country. A soldier sacrifices their lives in order to protect a million other lives. The soldiers do not get to lead a very comfortable life every day and still they dutifully protect their own country, they carry their duty with a badge of honor and hence they are so committed towards it.

Speech on Indian soldiers is the main agenda of this write-up. We have structured the speech in simple yet elegant English.

Why should we all know about our Soldiers?

After the formation of nation-states, it became important to keep the defense in place for protecting the country from any external threats. The defense system is created by the soldiers trained to fight during physical combat. They fight with so much risk for their life that it cannot be compared with any other profession of ours. It is our duty to recognize the sacrifice they give to protect the National frontiers and also during the rigorous training they go through. Knowing about the hardship every soldier bears can inspire the young generations and children to work hard in their life.

The word soldier is a very ancient word, initially referring to the mercenaries fighting for a war. In modern times countries have established a well-structured and dedicated army that is ready for battles at any point in time. The other 2 defense systems  are 'the Navy' and 'the air force.' The trained men forming these two groups are also the soldiers of the country. The whole military system is well managed with a top-to-the-down command structure. Some soldiers serve until they retire from their position and some never get a chance to retire and sacrifice their life on the line of duty. That is why it is very important for us to recognize and appreciate our soldiers serving for the peace and development of our nation.

Students can learn many things from the Army of the country such as discipline, hard work, punctuality, dedication, determination, survival in any type of environment, and a lot more. So speech on the soldiers is very informative as well as inspiring for the students listening to it.

Long Speech on Soldiers

Honorable Principal, Respected teachers, and my dear friends, I greet all of you a very Good Morning and happy Independence Day.

On the eve of this auspicious day, I would like to dedicate my speech to our beloved brothers, the soldiers of Mother India. Today we are celebrating this day with such a great festive spirit, with peace in our mind, I am able to deliver my speech with great calmness and out of fear, people today will celebrate this day with a lot of enjoyment all these are possible as we know we are not vulnerable to the enemy or foreign attacks, as the borders are sealed by our brave soldiers. With this in our head that the soldiers are up there performing their duty, be it 3 in the sunny afternoon or 3 in the frosty cold night, we can peacefully do our chores or go for a sound sleep. For all these and for other innumerable gratitude that I feel within me, I would like to give a grand salute to all these fighters serving our nation.

We frequently hear the news that our Indian soldiers are fighting on the Indian borders all day and all night without any failure to protect the country from the attacks of terrorists and to protect the people of India. For this, we acknowledge and are very grateful to every soldier of this country for being the bravest heroes who go through the pain and struggles only to provide us with a peaceful life. It seems they have vowed to keep every single day of ours safe and secure.

For every soldier, the nation for which they serve comes first even before their own family. For their profession, the soldiers do not get enough time to spend with their families. A soldier never hesitates to sacrifice their own life for the safety of their nation. So, the families of these fighting soldiers always wait eagerly for their safe return to their homes.

The soldiers are constantly living under various life-threatening conditions. They remain unsure about when they will be able to return to their own home and meet with their family. In order to safeguard a peaceful night for us, the soldiers put their everything and for their motherland.

My heart is filled with respect and love and my eyes get moist for the splendid brave deeds of the soldiers and their sacrifices.

You must be aware of the fact that our country India, in the whole world has the second-largest Indian military force. These armed forces include the Indian Air force which is aerial warfare and the air space, the Army that is the inland bases, and the Indian Coast Guards, which are the Indian Navy.

The soldier’s disciplined life is dedicated in such a manner that will keep the soldier firm on their battlefields to fight against their enemies who try to harm the nation.

These soldiers protect us from all directions. In the land, the Indian Army protects us, in the water, the Indian Navy protects us and, while being in the air, the Indian Air Force protects us. The soldiers ensure our safety and security in all other possible ways.

Hearty Greetings to our teachers and to our special guests,

This speech is dedicated to our brave soldiers who are our country’s pride. They are the people who selflessly perform their duties if required lay down their lives in order to protect our countries so that the Indian citizens can lead a peaceful life every day.

In such extreme weather conditions, the benevolent soldiers keep a watch on our country’s borders, they do this to ensure that no one is attacking our Mother India. The soldiers in the borders lead an extremely disciplined life so that they are able to tackle literally any difficult situation in any condition.

If any person wishes to join the army, the person should be strong enough to face all the physical discomforts and all the mental challenges to be ready to face the enemy during real war situations.

The soldiers never fail to be ready every time to face the enemies when they attack our country. A soldier is a true patriot who never hesitates to sacrifice his/her own life for our country.

Essay on Life of Soldiers in English

soldier essay for class 6

Table of Contents

If I have to describe the life of soldiers in a single word; I would have described it as “patriotic”. Though, some of you would like to describe it as “tough” and some of you even as “risky”. In true sense, a soldier’s life is a collection of all the three. A soldier’s life is patriotic, because, s/he is overwhelmed with the thought of protecting the motherland, even at the cost of his/her own life; tough, as they have to stay away from family and friends for months, that too in some of the most arduous conditions; risky because they secure our borders and are under constant threat from infiltrators and terror outfits.

Soldiers undergo rigorous physical training in order to fight the battles. They need to exercise for hours and require indulging in a number of strenuous exercises.

Long Essay on life of soldiers 600 Words in English

Life of Soldiers Essay is usually given to classes 7, 8, 9, and 10.

Every country has soldiers who fight for their nation and protect them from enemies. Some of the countries with the largest defence forces are the United States of America, India, China, France, Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom. Every country on the planet requires defence systems in place to protect them, not only from enemies but also to rescue people from natural calamities and internal conflicts.

While every citizen is proud of their army, navy and air force, it is the actual foot soldiers in the system that we should be thankful for. Soldiers are the most respected and honoured people of the country, and rightfully so, given the amount of sacrifice they do with their personal lives so that the country is safe and sound. Soldiers are considered to be a lifeline for the country. Even during the smallest of unrests and conflicts in the country, we call on our men in catalogue to put out the fire. Hence, let us discuss a few important duties of a soldier

What are the duties of a soldier?

The following are a few of the duties that soldiers perform and hold importance in our lives. Defend our borders- Most of our army and navy soldiers are present on the borders of our country because that is one of the oldest and best defence strategies used by countries over hundreds of years. If we could stop the infiltration of bad elements into our country on our borders, the society at large within the borders will be safe and be protected well.

It is because the Indian soldiers are guarding the Pakistan border in the west and China border on the east that terrorist activities in India are considerably low. Defending borders is not just about stopping infiltration but also about protecting our land from hostile takeovers. Soldiers protect the land that is rightfully ours according to international laws.

Rescue missions- Soldiers are called in, in times of natural disaster such as earthquakes, floods and volcanic eruptions. We have seen soldiers rescuing stranded people in Uttrakhand earthquakes, during the cyclone Amphan in West Bengal and infamous tsunami in Tamil Nadu. The soldiers not only protect and rescue people in their country but also help in rescue missions in other countries such as the one that we witnessed in Nepal earthquakes.

Peacekeeping missions- India contributes a major amount of its defence resources to UN peacekeeping forces. The soldiers fight and help peace in conflict and war zones in countries such as Syria, Libya or Iraq. Through UN peacekeeping forces, every country helps douce the fire of humanitarian crises. Pilots and airforce conduct airlift missions from conflict zones, Navy seals protect our economic interest to help maintains smooth logistics and prevent any disturbances in the sea due to pirates or enemy ships.

To fulfil all his or her duties, a soldier has to sacrifice a lot of things in their lives. Soldiers stay away from their families for months together without knowing whether they will come back alive or not. This shows that they put the country and its safety first before the safety of themselves and their families. It is not an easy task to become a soldier. Along with strong physical abilities, you need mental power to become a soldier. To win a war against the country, you need a strategic and critical bend of mind to have comprehensive and visionary war strategies. There are plenty of exams that a candidate has to clear in order to get into the Indian Army or Navy or Air force.
