Literature review, atau yang dikenal juga dengan review literatur, adalah suatu proses sistematis dalam mengkaji literatur yang telah ada terkait dengan topik atau masalah penelitian tertentu. Ini bukan hanya sekedar ringkasan dari sumber-sumber literatur, melainkan analisis kritis yang menunjukkan hubungan antara literatur yang satu dengan yang lainnya serta posisi penelitian Anda dalam konteks literatur yang ada.

1.2: Tujuan dan Manfaat Melakukan Literature Review

Melakukan literature review memiliki beberapa tujuan dan manfaat, di antaranya:

• Mengidentifikasi Gap : Dengan memahami literatur yang telah ada, peneliti dapat mengidentifikasi celah atau gap yang belum diteliti sebelumnya.
• Membangun Dasar Teoritis : Literature review membantu dalam membangun dasar teoritis untuk penelitian, dengan merujuk pada teori-teori yang telah ada.

Cara Membuat Literature Review

2.1: memilih topik penelitian.

Sebelum memulai literature review, tentukan terlebih dahulu topik penelitian Anda. Topik harus spesifik dan relevan dengan bidang studi Anda. Pertimbangkan pertanyaan-pertanyaan berikut saat memilih topik:

• Apakah topik tersebut memiliki relevansi dengan bidang studi Anda?

2.2: Mencari dan Mengumpulkan Sumber Literatur

2.1What is a “Literature Review”? • A literature review is an overview of research on a given topic and answers to related research questions • Literature reviews are an important part of research and should be treated as such • A well-written literature review: • Organizes literature • Evaluates literature • Identifies patterns and trends in literature • Synthesizes literature

‘the literature’ means the works you consulted in order to understand and investigate your research problem. • A literature review involves providing a rationale for your selection of literature related to the subject studied.

The literature review familiarizes the reader with the subject and the scope of the research topic. • It helps the reader to define key concepts • Finally it establishes the body of knowledge which will be able to contribute towards the research.

2.2 Writing the Literature Review • Firstly decide what you need to read from a broad spectrum of literature available • Refer to books, periodicals, journals, and websites which will be relevant to your study.

Determine what exactly are your objectives • Provide a current and complete overview of your related topic. • Show that you have read extensively and formed a body of knowledge on the subject of field of study

Purpose of writing a literature Review Your review should be in a form of • critical decision, • showing awareness of differing arguments, theories, approaches and methodologies. It should be a synthesis and analysis of the relevant published work, linked at all times to your objective and rationale of your study.

There are several purposes on why we write a literature review: • it reviews knowledge of previous studies on the subject of research • it identifies a conceptual framework for own research • it provides directions for future research • it provides resources previously unknown to the reader • it identifies gaps in past studies

To sum up, a good literature review is: • critical of what has been written, • identifies areas of controversy, • raises questions and identifies areas which need further research.

2.3 Process of Writing a Literature Review • There are several stages in developing a literature review(Biddlek, 1997). The stages are : • Identify • Record • Relevance • Retrieve • Review • Write

Stage 1 – Identify • Compile a list of references. • Use a kind of index system either a hard copy or a software referencing system. • i)work through key catalogues, databases, indexes, bibliographies and websites for relevant resources • ii)check the references and in the articles you have read • iii)locate and use research reviews

Stage 2-Record • Make a record of any literature that relates to your topic. • You should have citation details, where it is located, and should also write a few sentences that help you remember what the article is about

Stage 3 –Relevance • i)Prioritize the literature, after having read the abstract, rank them if it should be high, medium or low priority • ii)On the website scan through the literature for relevance before you decide to download or print it out • iii) You need to focus on the literature and sources you have identified and ranked as most important, the most recent development from the periodicals. • iv) Distinguish between textbooks and research articles from journals and books. They contain different kinds of information that will be more or less relevant to your research

Stage 4 -Retrieve • i) Make hard copies of the most important literature. Print relevant journal articles from databases and photocopy articles from journals

Stage 5 –Review • Use the reading log which allows you to record different kinds of information: the bibliographic details, a description, and relationship to other readings. • Also record where the literature is located so that you can easily refer to the quotes or ideas paraphrased when you are editing. • As you are taking notes, ensure you are clear about what you are quoting and paraphrasing. You cannot risk unintentionally plagiarizing ideas.

Stage 6 -Write • Start with an introductory paragraph • Discuss the literature on the subject in a logical and coherent way • Conclude with a paragraph that is relevant to the literature of the research

2.4 Five Phases of Writing a Literature Review • Phase 1 – Specify the scope of your review • i)Ensure you have a precise topic • you must be precise about having a topic. It should not be too broad or unspecific. Look at the following topic which is too broad • Example: ‘Life and Times of Sigmund Freud” • The title below seems to be limited, but still considered too broad • Example: “Psychological Theories of Sigmund Freud • However, a more manageable and appropriate topic would be • ‘Freud’s Theory of Personality Applied to Mental Health” • If your research question is too broad or defined vaguely or abstractly, you may end up reading and compiling too much information for your literature review. However if your research question is specified too narrowly or defined concisely, you may miss out more general information

ii)Scope of the Literature Review You have to determine the precise scope of the literature review. Questions which need to be answered are as follows :- • What will I cover in my review? • How comprehensive will it be? • How current are my materials? • What type of materials/documents will be needed?

Phase 2: Locating and Accessing Information • Obtain all the necessary materials for your literature review by searching relevant bibliographies, print indexes and online databases i)Using Existing Literature Reviews • Many journals on different subject areas publish review articles. In these journals you may find commentaries on research articles. You may find these reviews relevant to your literature review.

Phase 3 Recording the Information • You can develop a systematic way of recording information through: note cards with citations • Photocopied articles with points highlighted or underlined with notes in the margins • Traditional taking down notes or in laptops

i)Tips on Recording Information • A quick skimming and scanning through the introduction and the conclusion of an article, would give you an idea of the article and general points. • a)Start with the most recent studies and work backwards. Refer to the list of references on a recent article;   • b)Read, first the report or article’s abstract - this will give you some clues about the article • c)When taking down notes, remember to write out the complete bibliographic citation for each work. It is essential you note down the page numbers as these will be necessary later for footnotes and bibliography. For internet citations note the URL • d)Write all direct quotations precisely when taking down notes. You should use quotations marks, so it can recognize as a directly quoted text and not a paraphrase. If you fail to put a direct text in quotation marks or to credit the authors, it amounts to plagiarism.

Phase 4 Evaluating the Information • After having read all the articles, you must now decide and evaluate what should be included in the review. • Be selective - you have to consider issues and themes that link different articles.

Phase 5 Organizing and Writing the Literature Review • After accessing, reading and evaluating the material, these materials need to be organized. • You may organize the selected readings by theoretical approaches, by specific concepts or issues, and by methodologies

Some tips on writing After you have located, read, analyzed and evaluated the literature, the next stage is actual writing. Here are some tips: • Keep your paragraphs short • Subheadings are essential, as it clarifies the structure. They break up the materials into more readable units • Avoid too many long direct quotations from the studies. Paraphrase other writers’ works rather than quote lengthy passages • Don’t cite references that you haven’t read

What is a Literature Review?

A literature review is a systematic analysis and summary of the published academic writings directly relating to your topic of research. It should provide the reader with background information on your topic, and explain the significance of your research, and how your research relates to the rest of the academic publications on the topic. 

This section will guide you on what a literature review is and is not, why you need a literature review, and how you should go about getting started with your literature review.

Take note that a literature review forms the basis and provides background information about your research - some common mistakes students make is when they write a literature review that fails to meet its purpose.

Your literature review should NOT be an annotated bibliography , where you list and summarize a number of articles or academic works about your research topic. The literature review should identify important academic developments of your topic, and analyze them, so as to situate your own research in this background.

Your literature review should also NOT provide only a biased view , where you only choose articles that support your findings. Remember that a literature review needs to provide a picture of how the academic debate surrounding your research topic as developed, as well as areas that are being debated, so that you can position your research within the context of the wider academic discussion.

In designing urban area, there is need open spaces for all group of people that function as public realm and social place. One of those element that form the town/city is street. However its essential seems to be ignored because today urban design is still given priority to motor vehicles. This scenario is still seen in developed countries like Malaysia, China and Amerika Syarikat. Therefore the objective of this paper ia to clarify the street definition and factors that affecting its formation in urban context according to literature study. The finding shows that the function of street is too important in urban area since time immemorial and today development need to rebranding in street design according to the main hierarchy of ‘clients’ and community needs.

Lingkungan hidup yang baik dan sehat sebagai relung hidup dan berkembangnya suatu organisme, termasuk manusia, sangat diperlukan bagi kehidupan secara keseluruhan. Lingkungan hidup merupakan lingkungan yang baik dan sehat apabila organisme yang ada di dalamnya mampu hidup dan berkembang secara normal oleh kondisi dan sumber daya pendukungnya (Soerjani, 2002). Dengan demikian secara intuitif dapat disimpulkan bahwa apabila terjadi perubahan terhadap sumber daya sebagai pendukung kehidupan organisme pada batas tertentu yang tidak dapat ditoleransi oleh organisme untuk hidup secara normal, maka akan mendorong organisme beradaptasi pada kondisi perubahan yang baru, yang dapat diartikan sebagai kondisi yang "tidak normal" atau "lingkungan yang tidak baik dan tidak sehat". Interaksi manusia dengan lingkungan hidupnya merupakan suatu proses yang wajar dan terlaksana sejak manusia itu dilahirkan sampai ia meninggal dunia. Hal ini disebabkan karena manusia memerlukan daya dukung unsur-unsur lingkungan untuk kelangsungan hidupnya. Udara, air, makanan, sandang, papan dan seluruh kebutuhan manusia harus diambil dari lingkungan hidupnya. Akan tetapi, dalam proses interaksi manusia dengan lingkungannya ini tidak selalu didapatkan keuntungan, kadang-kadang manusia bahkan mendapat kerugian. Hal ini merupakan akibat hubungan timbal balik antara aktivitas manusia dengan lingkungannya. Jadi di dalam lingkungan terdapat faktor-faktor yang dapat menguntungkan manusia (eugenic), ada pula yang merugikan manusia (disgenic). Usaha-usaha di bidang kesehatan lingkungan ditujukan untuk meningkatkan daya guna faktor eugenic dan mengurangi peran atau mengendalikan faktor disgenic. Secara naluriah manusia memang tidak dapat menerima kehadiran faktor disgenic di dalam lingkungan hidupnya, oleh karenanya ia selalu berusaha untuk selalu memperbaiki keadaan sekitarnya sesuai dengan kemampuannya (Slamet, 2004). 9 Studi Mengenai.

Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi tingkat keusangan literatur yang disitir pada skripsi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia tahun 2021. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Dari 42 skripsi sebagai populasi, 42 skripsi diambil sebagai sampel dengan menggunakan teknik slovin. Data dikumpulkan dengan studi pustaka atau studi dokumentasi dan dianalisis dengan teknik persiapan, tabulasi, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebanyakan sitiran (64%) yang kurang dari tahun 2012 dianggap sudah usang, sedangkan sitiran yang lebih baru (35%) dinilai terkini/mutakhir. Tingkat keusangan literatur pada skripsi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia adalah 9 tahun.

Critical thinking has become an essential skill in the 21st century, as many experts and researchers describe it. Critical thinking is often claimed as a skill that should be taught in learning. Critical thinking is a reflective thinking process that focuses on analysis and evaluation to make the right decision. Many experts have formulated definitions and indicators related to critical thinking. This article aims to describe the definitions and core indicators of critical thinking according to experts as well as summarize the core indicators that can be integrated and learned in learning. Based on the results of studies related to critical thinking, this article recommends six indicators, namely focus on the problem, analysis of arguments, making planning, evaluation, explanation, and self-regulation.

COCCIDIOSIS, TOXOCARIASIS, DAN ACARIASIS PADA KUCING (Felis catus) DENGAN NOMOR PASIEN 1453 Afif Fakhriansyah, S.K.H. 15/390827/KH/8751 Hari Rabu tanggal 4 November 2015 dilakukan pemeriksaan terhadap kucing Persian bernama Puspita dengan nomor pasien 1331 dengan jenis kelamin betina, umur 6 bulan, berwana putih dan oranye, berat badan 1,4 kg di Ruang Periksa Klinik Hewan Kuningan Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan, Universitas Gadjah Mada. Pemilik kucing tersebut bernama Rhofiq yang beralamat di Caturtunggal, Depok, Sleman. Hasil anamnesa menunjukan bahwa kucing mengalami penurunan nafsu makan, berak encer berdarah sejak 5 hari yang lalu, tidak muntah, dan ekor mengalami kebotakan. Kucing tersebut belum pernah diberi obat cacing dan belum pernah divaksin. Pakan yang sering diberikan adalah pakan kering “Universal”. Pemilik memiliki dua ekor kucing. Kucing yang lain memiliki gejala yang sama. Status presens yaitu ekspresi muka lesu, kondisi tubuh kurus, frekuensi nafas 28x per menit, frekuensi pulsus 102x per menit, suhu rektal 38,5 0C. Turgor kulit tidak normal, rambut rontok, terjadi kebotakan di daerah ekor, pemeriksaan sinar ultraviolet pada daerah ekor tidak ada yang berpendar. Konjungtiva mata pink pucat, CRT lebih dari 2 detik. Suara auskultasi bronchial, tipe pernafasan thorakoabdominal. Sistol diastole dari jantung dapat dibedakan dengan jelas, ritmis. Mulut bersih, anus kotor, tidak ada reflek muntah, peristaltic usus normal, tidak ada reflek sakit pada palpasi di perut. Vesica urinaria kosong, palpasi ginjal dan vesica urinaria tidak ada respon sakit. Reflek pupil, palpebral, patella, dan pedal bagus. Kucing dapat berdiri dan berjalan dengan keempat kakinya. Pemeriksaan feses natif dan sentrifuge ditemukan telur cacing Toxocara sp. dan oosista Isospora sp, pemeriksaan kerokan kulit ditemukan tungau Cheytiella sp., dan uji benzidine menunjukkan hasil positif (+) feces mengandung darah. Hasil pemeriksaan darah menunjukkan gambaran darah kucing normal. Berdasarkan anamnesa, status praesens, pemeriksaan feses, kerokan kulit, dan darah, kucing Puspita didiagnosis menderita Coccidisosis, Toxocariasis, dan Acariasis dengan prognosa fausta. Terapi yang diberikan adalah Drontal®, Metronidazole, Kaolin-Pectin, Grotavit dan Emulsi Benzyl Benzoat 25%. Pemeriksaan feces natif dan sentrifuge pada hari ke-13 tidak ditemukan telur Toxocara sp. dan oosista Isospora sp, pemeriksaan kerokan kulit tidak ditemukan tungau Cheytiella sp., dan uji benzidine menunjukkan hasil negatif (-). Berdasarkan pemeriksaan akhir dapat disimpulkan bahwa kucing sudah sembuh. Kata kunci : Coccidiosis, Toxocariasis, Acariasis, Kucing
