Very good morning to all. Today, I am here to present a speech on internet. Someone has rightly said that the world is a small place. With the advent of the internet, this saying seems realistic. The internet has really bought the world together and the distance between two persons is really not a distance today. We all know about the technological advancements happening in the world. One of the major attributes of technological advancement is the internet. Today the internet is available easily to many individuals. Also, it is rapidly changing the way we work, travel, educate and entertain.

Evolution of Internet

Many of you are aware of what the internet facility is. Still, I would like to highlight the aspects of the internet. The internet is a facility wherein two gadget screens are connected through signals. Thus, through this medium, the information can be exchanged between two gadgets.

The history of the internet dates back to 40 years ago with its first use in the United States of America and the inventor of the internet was Robert E.Kahn and Vint Cerf. Earlier the internet was only used to send emails between two computers. Today it has reached all distant parts of the globe with more than 1.5 million users. They use the internet for exchange of information, entertainment, money exchanges, etc.

Pros of the Internet

The internet facility has many advantages and it has proved to be a milestone in the technical advancement of humankind. It allows users to exchange and communicate information. Two users who are sitting in distant corners of the world can easily communicate through mails, chats, and video conferencing by using the internet.

It provides information of all kinds to its users. Also, it provides entertainment by offering services of watching movies, listening to music, playing a game. Various day to day activities such as travel ticket bookings, banking facilities, shopping, etc. can be easily done through the internet.

Nowadays the internet also offers various dating websites and matrimonial websites by which one can find their prospective soul mate.

The Internet also offers a facility to its users where they can earn online by means of blogs and video blogs. These are some of the major benefits of the internet has a dark side also.

Cons of the Internet

Many a number of people misuse information for fraud and illegal works. Due to excessive use of the internet in the wrong hands, a number of cybercrimes are happening which is affecting the trust of the people on the internet.

Abuse over social media is also prevailing through the internet wherein people of negative mentality abuse other people on the basis of caste, race, color, appearance, etc. Addiction to online games is one of the major problems of parents today as children get addicted to online games and avoid their studies and outdoor activities.

The internet has nowadays become such an important part of the life of the people that it is hardly possible to spend even a day without using the internet. Thus after seeing the negatives of the internet, it is not practically possible to completely avoid the internet. However, we can put a timeline or restriction on its usage especially to children.

The parents and teachers can monitor the online activities of their children and guide them on the proper use of the internet. We should also educate and aware people of online cybercrime and fraud. Thus through proper precautions and adopting safety measures the internet can prove to be a boon for the development of human society.

Good morning to everyone present over here. Today I am here to deliver my speech on the internet. John Stewart has rightly said that “ The internet is just a world passing notes around a classroom.”

The internet has brought the world too close today; the physical distance is no more a real distance between anyone. The internet has made our lives easy & comfortable. Most advances in technologies are attributed to the internet in today’s world. It is one of the most significant inventions which has completely changed the way we live.

Internet is a network facility which helps in sharing information. It was invented 40 years back by Robert E. Kahn and Vint Cerf for sending emails. It has transformed a lot in last with time. We all use internet today, let it be on our mobile phones, computers or laptops for different purposes. Many of us may be using it for office work, learning, some for shopping, playing & many more.

Restaurants, malls, transportation, and banking everywhere the internet is playing a significant role. It is an excellent source of knowledge & valuable resources for learning. The primary entertainment sources for today’s world is internet. Let it be music, song, dance, series or movie everything is available just a click away. We can connect to our loved ones, a thousand kilometres away just by doing a video call. For many internet has become the source of income, people have started earning by writing blogs, etc. The usage of internet is uncountable.

Though internet is an excellent servant, it does have some ill effects. Misuse of information & fraud is increasing day by day. Cybercrimes have become a significant concern which is getting monitored closely. The influence of social media is so hyped among people that people are ready to do anything for getting famous. People are unnecessarily spending time which has created problems in their social lives. Believing internet blindly has become a common practice which has resulted in the circulation of fake news.

We all cannot deny that the internet has become a part of our life. It is not easy to spend a day without the internet. So we all need to maintain the balance between the positive & negative impacts of the internet. Judicious use with proper precautions will prove the internet to be a boon for humanity. Let us join hands & pledge to use the greatest invention of time for transforming the world in the right way.

Talking about the usage of the internet, it has left no fields untouched. Today we can book our travelling tickets online; we need not make a queue. We can shop sitting at home from a variety of options; we need not step out to market.

We can also take the consultation of doctors, which is just a click away. We do not wait anymore to meet our near & dear ones; we connect to them through video calls. Getting bored need not wait for a TV program; we have plenty of options available online. Even today, people are searching for their soulmates on the internet. Even students are nowadays dependent only on online sources for learning. Not only these, internet has completely transformed the life we once lived in. You all will agree that it has made our life simpler & more comfortable for us.

However, we all know that a coin has two sides, one good & bad. Till now, I only highlighted the best part of the internet. Let me tell you the internet can have numerous negative impacts if we do not use it cautiously.The illegal works, fraud or we can say cyber crimes are increasing day by day. People are wasting time on internet instead of using the valuable time. People have started living virtual life with no understanding of the world outside. Children are spending more time playing online games instead of any physical activities.

All these issues are leading us to a bigger problem. We all being aware of the pros & cons of usage of the internet and must be alert enough to use it in the right way. It is one of the greatest inventions of humanity which can be solely used for the development of the people globally. So let us join our hands & work together in that direction to use the internet for the useful transformations only.

How To Be Careful Over The Internet

The Internet plays an essential role in people's daily lives, and it is nearly impossible for us to go a day without it. So, even though we know the Internet's detrimental effects, we cannot avoid it. So, we can set a time limit for its use, primarily for minors.

Parents and teachers must monitor and guide children on proper Internet usage. Educating and alerting people about online fraud and cybercrime is part of our responsibilities, and there are severe repercussions for internet fraud. As a result, with adequate understanding and prudence, the Internet can be a blessing to human society's growth.

Around 2006, I was 5, and my mum showed me Google for the first time. She connected to the Internet and demonstrated what Google is. I was delighted and enthusiastic about the unlimited possibilities, but Google didn't have any "Did you mean" tabs back then, and my spelling was terrible, so I had to ask my mother to search for me. I recall the first thing I asked my Mom to Google was "How are Diamonds formed?" and forcing her to read it to me. That was my first experience when I encountered the Internet.

As you know that today’s seminar is conducted to discuss various aspects of internet – the benefits and loss it entails. I, as the host of today’s seminar, welcome you all to this event and sincerely hope to make this seminar a fruitful one for everyone present here by our active participation. However, before we initiate the discuss round, I would like to deliver a brief speech on internet so as to warm up the session for my audience and in the hope to add up to your existing knowledge.

The definition of internet is not same for everyone and entails different meanings for different people. It is mainly because of the fact that it offers a range of applications along with multitudinous opportunities for trade & commerce. In other words, internet is an acronym for the internetwork system, i.e. a network of computers.

Did you know that it is in the year 1969 that the US Defence Department with the help of their Advanced Research Project Agency also called as ARPA developed a system of computer networks through the use of telephone lines and called it ARPANet, which means the seed of internet? The ARPANet enabled the officials to access various military personnel and academicians using their sites situated at multiple places.

Then, with the gradual development in networking technology and the ease of access to a range of information on the ARPANet, the officials connected more and more computers to the source. This way a significant bare minimum mass for the internet was achieved. In the year 1990, ARPANet was brought to an end and the internet itself emerged as the most powerful and overwhelming force for communication to reckon with.

Also, let me share with you a few more basic facts about internet. The architecture of internet consists of 3 basic layers, viz. Internet Backbone, Providers of Internet Service and lastly the end user. The Internet backbones are considered networks with a really high speed connected with each other and he providers of internet services are linked to any of the backbone having transfer lines with a high speed data. The end user more often reaches out to the internet service provider in order to access the internet.

This goes without saying that internet has made everything so easy for us and we can do various things at the same time while being at one place, i.e. right from paying bills to buying merchandizes to finding jobs, etc. It surely saves our lot of time and efforts and enables us to direct our energy in some other work.

Having said that, I would also like to mention that whereas on one hand internet has various advantages to offer, it on the other hand has a major loophole too, i.e. it impacts our health quite a lot. As one continues to work on it every day and there is hardly any physical activity – your body starts breeding diseases thereby affecting your quality of life.

To begin with, I would like say that internet has evolved as a large-scale system of interconnected network of computers, which utilizes the usual Internet protocol suite (also called as TCP/IP even though not every application makes use of TCP) in order to serve the needs of billions of people globally. It is a wide web of network that comprises millions of public, private, business, academic as well as government networks starting from local to a global platform being connected with a wide array of wireless, electronic and optical networking technologies. No doubt, on internet you can search for an extensive array of information resources as well as services, like the inter-connected hypertext pages on the World Wide Web (WWW) and the infrastructure to maintain email accounts.

As internet has become relatively economical and is of course fast – it is providing significant benefits to the organizations and the students across the world as having an internet connection is quite easy these days. The two most important uses of internet are information and communication. Information can be modified or updated at any point in time and as much as possible, which opens up the scope of better learning and understanding for the masses.

However, unfortunately the today’s generation especially our students have become so addicted to this technology that they are diverting from their educational goals. Whole day chatting with friends, internet surfing, browsing occupies their time and in the end they hardly have any time left for their studies. Even worst, this habit makes them irregular with their studies and they lose their capacity to lead an organized life, due to which the falling grades of those students can be observed. After conducting the research and study about the way students consume internet data and use social networking sites, the experts have opined that the results are certainly not favorable.

Social networks like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, etc have become the major roadblocks in the way of students’ educational goals. One of the serious drawbacks of this technology is that there is no method to curb it once a student has come to a university level of studies. But schools can still play a major role in guiding the students and helping them realize their value of time and time management skills.

On the flip side, the internet is vast reservoir of information and thus can be used by the students for completing their projects and assignments. On internet, one can certainly find all the possible information or knowledge known to humanity. So easily browse through the internet for the required information and study them whenever the need arises.

Towards the end, I want to say that technology becomes a boon, if used rightfully or else destroy the humanity if used the other way. So make the best use of it and reap the fruits of its benefits.

The internet is a system of sets of computer networks that communicates using internet protocol (IP) and that use Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) to identify the best path to route those communication.

The origins of internet can be traced back to research commissioned by the United States federal government in the 1960s to build strong and fault-tolerant communication via computer networks. The beginning of the transition to the modern Internet and generated rapid growth as institutional, personal, and mobile computers were connected to the network from the early 1990s. By the late 2000s, the services of the internet had been blended into almost every part of our life. The traditional communication networks and media such as newspapers, paper mail, television etc are getting redefined and replaced by new technologies such as email, digital newspapers, online music, etc.

Print publishing are getting converted into blogging, web feeds and online news aggregators through the adaptation of website technology. There are many new forms of personal interactions by instant messaging, internet forums and social networking websites. The trend of online shopping has grown significantly due to widened range and convenience. Business and financial services on the internet helps in spreading chains among the entire industries around the world.

World-Wide-Web (WWW) is its biggest services. It is used by billions of people all around the world. The software of WWW (World Wide Web) such as Microsoft’s internet explorer/ edge, Mozilla fire fox, opera, apple’s safari and Google chrome provides users the facility to navigate from one web page to another via hyperlinks embedded in the documents. The WWW (World Wide Web) has decentralized the information on an enormous level.

With many advantages, internet has some of its disadvantages also. The internet can be dangerous in some aspects. Sometimes, people use it to spread rumors or other people’s secrets or dangerously bad advice. Sometimes, other strange people can also read your information if it is send through the internet. For instance, Facebook has some problems with its privacy settings. A person can post anything on a website, but this could be a bad idea unless the person is very sure of what he is doing. There is a way to check for a secure website is to make sure that the URL starts with https:// instead of https://. This means that it is secured and other people cannot read the information while it is being sent. In the end it is in our hands whether to use internet in a positive manner or in a negative manner.

The internet was developed by the “United States Department of Defence Advance Research Projects Agency” (DARPA) which is in the United States. The first ever connection was known as the ARPANET and it was connected on October 1969. The most popular service of the internet is the World Wide Web (WWW) and it was created at CERN in Switzerland in 1990 by a British (UK) man named Tim Berners-Lee. The World Wide Web is the most used service on the internet and it is also known as the “Web”. It contains websites that includes blogs and wikis in it. Everybody can read these web pages and it can be seen by anyone on the internet unless it requires a password.

The internet has no centralized government itself for the technological implementation or for the access and usage. Each and every authorized network has to set its own policy.

In today’s world, internet is used for many purposes such as for sending electronic mails, online chat through many applications, to transfer file from one device to another and we can find infinite information on infinite topics. The most biggest and important use of internet is to send and receive e-mails. E-mail is secure and private and it goes from one user to another. Instant messaging applications or websites such as AIM or ICQ allows more than two people for chat to each other and it is much faster.

Many governments around the world have a bad thinking for internet and thus, block all or a part of it. For instance, the government of the China thinks that Wikipedia is not good and thus many times in this country people cannot read or add something to it. Sometimes, parents block some parts of the internet which are not good for their children to see. Many devices or mostly devices contain a parental control system in it. Many countries have blocked the whole internet usage such as in North Korea and Myanmar.

Some websites are designed to fool people for downloading device damaging viruses or may contain the system through which someone could spy. E-mail can also be dangerous as someone could send harmful viruses etc through an attachment. Many stalkers use internet chat rooms to prey on others. On the internet many websites contains some contents that are might be offensive for many users. Sometimes, on the internet, people got tricked by many fraud people to send them money or personal data.

It just need awareness and a little knowledge to surf safely on internet and we should use it wisely.

Reported verb

For example, Ram said to me,” he wants to eat pizza”.

Here in the sentence, Ram said to me is the reporting verb, 

And the sentence in inverted commas “he wants to eat pizza” is the reported speech.

The reported verb refers to the simple sentence at the starting of the sentence and reported speech refers to the sentence in inverted commas that defines someone else.

The part of the sentence which is not in the inverted commas is called the reported verb.

When we change a direct speech into indirect speech then there are 3 types/ forms of changes that take place.

Change of person

Change of other parts of speech

For example, Priya said to the class,” keep quiet teacher is coming”.

Here in the sentence, Priya said to the class is the reporting verb.

Reporting Speech

The part of the sentence which is under inverted commas is called reporting speech.

The second part of the sentence refers to some other person, universal facts, imaginary parts, historical facts, happening events, etc.

For example, Shyam said,” taj mahal was built by Shahjahan”

Here the sentence “taj mahal was built by Shahjahan” is the reported speech. 

Basically, there are two types of speech.

It refers to reporting the exact words spoken by the speaker. There is no change in the verb or the sentence.

For example, Ram said to Riya, “go to school”

Priya asked Ram, “where is her bag”

Speech should be opened with quotations or inverted commas.

The word said is used to connect two sentences.

Reporting clause should be used at the end of the sentence.

At the end of the sentence full stop should be placed.

It is the speech that tells what someone has said but it does not explain the actual words spoken by the person. It just conveys the basic narration of what is being said to the third person.

For example, Ram asked Riya to go to school.

Priya asked Ram where was her bag.

Past tense is used when the situation is uncertain

The present tense of the sentence is changed to the past tense in indirect speech. 

Universal facts tense remains the same.

The use of the word “that” connects the reported verb and reported speech.

  • He has said to them, “You were playing cricket yesterday.” He has told them that they were playing cricket yesterday.

  • Rajani said to her friends, “You were shopping in the market.” Rajani told her friends that they had been shopping in the market.
  • I said, “Ritu, you will learn very fast.” I told Ritu that she would learn very fast.
  • “I may go to London next month,” he said. He told that he might go to London the following month.

Note: If Reported Speech has an explanation of Universal Truth, Habitual Fact or Historical Fact its Tense is not changed at all. Examples:-

  • He said, “The earth moves round the sun.” He.said that the earth moves round the sun.
  • She said to me, “Mohan plays with left hand.” She told me that Mohan plays with left hand.
  • The teacher said to the students, “India became independent in 1947.” The teacher told the students that India became independent in 1947.

Part-III (Interrogative Sentences) Rules: 1. In Interrogative sentences said or said to of reporting verb are replaced with asked or enquired. 2. If the interrogative (question) begins with Helping Verb or Modal (is, am, are, do, does, was, were, has, have, had, will, shall, would, can, could, should, may, might, must, etc.) the inverted commas (” “) are replaced with the conjunction if or whether. 3. If the interrogative (question) begins with WH-family (Why, what, which, when, whose, who, whom, how, etc.) the inverted commas (” “) are not replaced with any conjunction at all. 4. If there are no interrogatives (questions) in indirect speech we place helping verb or modal after the subject.

  • The teacher said to us, “Have you completed your home work?” The teacher asked us if we had completed our home work.
  • He said to me, “Did you finish your work yesterday?” He asked me if I had finished my work the previous day.
  • Rocky said, “Meena, do you want to go to Shimla?” Rocky asked Meena if she wanted to go to Shimla.
  • I said to him, “Will you return tomorrow?” I asked him if he would return the next day.
  • Ravi said to him, “What have you learnt?” Ravi asked him what he had learnt.
  • She said, “Which train will go to Jaipur?” She enquired which train would go to Jaipur.

Part-IV (Imperative Sentences) Rules: 1. In Imperative sentences said to is replaced with ordered, commanded, advised, suggested, proposed, persuaded, warned, etc. 2. Inverted commas (” “) are replaced with ‘to’. The first form of verb is applied after ‘to’. 3. In Negative sentences ‘said’ to is replaced with ‘forbade’ or ‘do’ is replaced with ‘not’.

Direct and Indirect Speech Exercises for Class 8 CBSE With Answers

When we use the exact words of the speaker, it is called direct speech. Indirect or Reported Speech refers to a sentence reporting what someone has said.

Basic  English Grammar  rules can be tricky. In this article, we’ll get you started with the basics of sentence structure, punctuation, parts of speech, and more.

Direct and Indirect Speech Exercises for Class 8 CBSE With Answers PDF

Direct and indirect speech differ in the following aspects:

  • punctuation
  • pronouns and their forms
  • tense forms
  • the reporting verb (introduce/change)
  • words that show time and position
  • that, if, etc. (if necessary)

Punctuation Indirect speech, the exact words of the person (quote) are placed after the introductory clause, it is always set apart by the use of a comma (,) and quotation marks (“’) or (“”).

Also, the first letter of the exact words of the speaker indirect speech is always capitalized. Example:

  • Mother said to me, ‘Please tidy your room.

If the quote is placed at the beginning of the sentence a comma is put before the end quotation mark for a declarative or imperative sentence. A question mark or an exclamatory mark is placed before the end quotation if it is a question or an exclamatory sentence. Examples:

  • “Where are we going for our picnic?’ asked Mira.
  • “What an excellent idea!’ said Sunny.

If the quote is divided into two we can do either of the following: Examples:

  • “That is fine,’ he said. “We don’t mind sharing our room with you.’
  • “No!’ he said. “We can’t check into this hotel.’

In reported (indirect) speech, question marks and exclamations are removed because all sentences are converted to statements. We do not use a comma or quotation marks to set apart the words of the speaker. A comma is used only if the sentence calls for one. Example:

  • Sally told me that Rosie, Anuja and Jenny are going for a movie tomorrow. . .

Pronouns While reporting, we must pay close attention to personal pronouns, possessive pronouns and possessive adjectives—1, we, you, they, he, she, my, our, your, their, his, her, mine, ours, yours, theirs, hers. Examples: 1. Teacher said to me, ‘This is Radhika’s book, please give it to her.’ What would you tell Radhika?—Teacher told me that this was your book and asked me to give it to you. But if you report this to your friend Sashi, you would say—Teacher told me that this was Radhika’s book and asked me to give it to her.

2. His mother said to Raghu, ‘You must work hard.’ His mother told Raghu that he must work hard.

3. Mohan said to me, “My books are on your desk.’ Mohan told me that his books were on my desk.

As we see in these examples, the words we use to refer to people change to match the speaker/ writer and listener/reader.

Reporting verbs

We usually use verbs like said (say), told (tell) to introduce what somebody said. Verbs that help us convey what was said are called reporting verbs. They are used in direct and indirect speech.

Says and told are the reporting verbs in the following sentences:

  • He says, “The world is a flat piece of paper.
  • He told me he could help me with my homework.

Said and told are used in similar contexts but in reported speech we say something, and we tell somebody something. In direct speech, we use said to me/him/her, etc. Examples:

  • Dipti said to me, ‘I might not come to school tomorrow.’
  • Dipti said that she might not come to school the next day.
  • Dipti told me that she might not come to school the next day.

Some of the other reporting verbs we use are answered, added, promised, replied, suggested, explained, etc. The use of the reporting verb depends on the type of sentence reported.

Interrogative Sentences

While reporting questions we use the reporting verbs asked, enquired, etc. and while reporting the answer to the questions we use verbs like replied, answered, etc. Examples:

  • Salim said to me, ‘Have you read The Wind in the Willows?’ Salim asked me if I had read The Wind in the Willows. I told Salim, ‘Yes, it is my favourite book.’ I replied that I had and that it was my favourite book
  • Tarun said to me, ‘Where is our next class?’ Tarun asked me where our next class was.

A. Punctuate the following sentences in direct speech. Insert (..) and ()

Imperative Sentences While reporting imperative sentences we use a reporting verb to match the mood of the sentence. Apart from say and rell we can also use as request, beg, command in it, ander warm remind, exicowa gesi, pryse, etc. Examples:

  • The Judge said to the people, “Maintain silence.” The Judge ordered the people to maintain silence.
  • I said to John, “Please pass me the salt.” Trieste Jolino pass me the salt.
  • Linda said, ‘Let’s go for a swim. Linda menekled going for a swim

Please note that in reported speech we use the non-finite form of the verbs in quotes. We use infinitive forms (base verb, lo + base verb) or gerund forms (ing).

Exclamatory Sentences While reporting exclamatory sentences we use reporting verbs like exclaimed, admired, apologize cried, wished thanked, etc. Interjections like wow, oh, oh dear, alas, etc. and nouns of addres are removed Examples:

  • Ritu said to me ‘Wow! What a beautiful dress! Ritu admired my dress.
  • I said to my teacher, ‘Good morning, Ma’am!-I wished my teacher good morning
  • ‘Oh, no! I didn’t bring my lunchbox!’ said Deepak. Deepak exclaimed that hadn’t brought his lunchbox.
  • Surya said to Shayan, ‘I am so sorry! Surya apologized to Shayan.

TENSES When we report a statement, we must look at the tense of the reporting verb.

1. If the reporting verb is in the present tense, we need not change the tense of the rest of the sentence. Examples:

  • a. She says, “They are on their way.’—She says that they are on their way.
  • Kina says, “All birds are friendly.”—Kina says that all birds are friendly.

2. If the reporting verb is in the past tense, we change the tense of the rest of the sentence being reported into corresponding past tense.

Sometimes, when universal truths are being reported we can choose to retain the original tense of the sentence or change it. Examples:

  • Mother said, “The earth revolves around the sun. Mother said that the earth revolves/revolved around the sun.
  • Jose said, “Hot air rises to the top.’ Jose said that hot air rises/rose to the top.

Time And Place Words When there are words that show time and place in direct speech, we have to change them appropriately in reported speech. Example:

  • Rajesh said, “I will finish this project by next week.’
  • Rajesh said that he would finish that project by the following week.

Here are a few such words: But this is done in accordance with the time and place of reporting. The expressions change if the time is long past. They do not change if the speech is reported in the same place and period of time.

  • Sayani says, “I will not come to school tomorrow.’ (said on 12 August)”
  • Sayani says that she will not come to school tomorrow. (also said on 12 August)
  • Sayani told me that she would not come to school the next day. (30 November)

Reporting Conversations

In normal conversation we don’t always speak in full sentences. But while reporting them we must complete these sentences. Avoid using said and told too many times.

Instead, use reporting verbs like added, informed, wanted, etc. Examples:

  • Direct speech:
  • Salim: How is Sanjay?
  • Sanjukta: He is fine now.
  • Salim: Was he seriously ill last month?
  • Sanjukta: Not exactly. But he had some minor ailments. He is at home now.

Reported speech: Salim asked Sanjukta how Sanjay was. She replied that he was fine then. Salim wanted to know if Sanjay had been seriously ill the previous month. Sanjukta said that he had not been seriously ill, but he had had some minor ailments. Then she added that Sanjay was at home then.

Omission Of That

In reported speech, that is often used to introduce the speaker’s words. But even if we omit that, the meaning would remain the same. Examples:

  • Zoey told me (that) Rosie, Anuja and Shehnaaz were going for a movie the next day.
  • Angmo said (that) she might not come to school the next day.

F. Read the following conversation and rewrite it in reported speech. Some reporting verbs you may want to use are informed, congratulated and thanked. Sneha: Good morning, Pari. How are you? Pari: Good morning, Sneha. I am getting on fine. You know, I got selected for the school table tennis team. We are going for the inter-school match on Friday. Sena: Wow! Great! Wish you the best of luck for Friday. I’m sure you’ll win the match. Pari: Thanks, Sneha. I hope we’ll win this time.
