Presentation Switchers Bring Your Business Meeting Ideas (and Devices) Together

what is a presentation switcher

Presentation switchers enable us to collaborate better than ever! They allow the signal transmission of multiple devices to be viewed on a single display. This is great for environments like companies hosting interactive collaborations and meetings, or during school lectures and presentations. Users can easily share files and ideas from their devices, all while interacting on the same screen when using a presentation switcher. This yields greater results from collaborations and a better use of everyone's time.

One of the reasons a presentation switcher is needed is because many environments are considered “mixed environments.” This means numerous users and a variety of different devices are in place like computers, tablets, smartphones, cameras, LCD displays, and projectors.

All of these devices have different connections, requiring a presentation switcher that differentiates between all the incoming signals and resolutions so it can send out the proper video format to the TV display. BZBGEAR has two great presentation switchers to amplify your collaborations: BG-PSC6x2-4K and BG-PSC7x2 .

BG-PSC6x2-4K

BG-PSC6X2-4K top view

BG-PSC6x2-4K is a 4K@60Hz presentation switcher and scaler. It's equipped with six inputs: three HDMI, one VGA, one USB-C, and one DisplayPort. It routes any of the six inputs to either (or both) of the two HDMI display outputs.

Switch between sources using multiple forms of control: IR remote, front panel controls, RS-232, or TCP/IP connections. Advanced settings include EDID with the LCD menu display. Input signals can be automatically scaled to various aspect ratios and resolutions from 1024x768 up to 3840x2160@60Hz with its built-in video scaler.

An external audio source can be embedded via the L/R 3.5 mm port or de-embed audio from the source inputs using the digital coax or analog RCA connections. BG-PSC6x2-4K is also equipped with a mic input including phantom power with a 48V optional DIP switch.

BG-PSC7x2 top view

BG-PSC7X2 is a multi-function presentation switcher and scaler equipped with seven inputs including four HDMI, one VGA, one composite, and one component. This unit supports input resolutions up to 4K@60 and auto scales to 1080p. The input sources can all be routed to either of the two HDMI display outputs.

Multiple forms of control include IR remote, front panel controls, RS-232, and TCP/IP connections. The front-panel LCD display provides status feedback of information including input-output selection and EDID settings.

Audio embedding from an external audio source is enabled by the L/R 3.5 mm port. Monitoring and external sound systems are enabled by the digital coax and analog outputs.

With rack-mounting ears for easy installation, the BG-PSC7X2 presentation switcher provides many options for commercial environments like conference rooms, auditoriums, classrooms, and presentation meetings.

Tips on How to Select The Right-Sized Presentation Switcher

Tips on How to Select The Right-Sized Presentation Switcher

There are many variables to consider when choosing a presentation switcher for specific uses, spaces and expectations. Below are some tips from industry experts to help you create a check-list of key features to look for when you compare products. In the end, the important thing is to become informed and find a technology partner who will work with you to find the right solution for user needs.

Video Sources: Of course, you need to consider the type of video sources that you will be switching to any display. “If you have a variety of video sources, video formats or are switching to LED walls or unusual sized screens be sure to purchase a switcher that has scaling on the inputs and scalers on the outputs so you can mix and match video resolutions and output to custom pixel sizes found on LED walls,” said Rob Read, Business Development Manager at Roland Professional A/V.

what is a presentation switcher

Aaron Booker (left), founder and CEO of Bellingham, WA-based Varvid, a full service live event media production company, uses Roland presentation switchers for large and small presentations. Recently, Booker recommended the V-1SDI, 3G-SDI Video Switcher to a higher ed client needing a small portable and budget-conscious solution. “One of the features we love about them is they support 3G SDI, so you can send a 1080p signal off to the switcher nicely. The little $1,500, Roland V-1SDI switcher is perfect for them, he said. For larger and more complex events, the Varvid team uses the VR-50HD Multi- Format AV Mixer. “We really loved that switcher because it not only has that HDMI input with scalers, but every input scales,” said Booker. “And it has VGA input so you can take old laptops, old projectors, and output VGA cable which runs a long distance, and then it just works. Just working is wonderful.” PHOTO COURTESY OF VARVID Signal Formats: Be sure to find out what kind of signal formats does it support such as HDMI, DisplayPort, HDBaseT, VGA, Component Video, etc., and how many inputs and outputs are included, said Joseph Barbier, marketing manager at DVIGear. “Does it include video scaling, and if so, what are the resolution limitations? It is critical to consider resolution capabilities as this varies widely by device. Which resolutions are supported on each input versus each output?”

Picture-in-Picture: When looking at a switcher that has PiP composition layers be sure to check if the PiP’s can be adjusted in size and position. “In some cases, size is not as important as positioning the PiP window to a location on the screen that doesn’t interfere with the background layer,” said Read. “Additionally, some PiP functions are useful to adjust border color and width to help enhance the PiP windows in your presentation. Some switchers are limited to one layer composition, so if you need a PiP and a lower third layer be sure to select a switcher than has two or more layers of composition.”

HD or 4K: While most video sources are still HD, if your budget allows purchasing as switcher that is 4K will help future-proof your investment. “The term ‘4K’ is a big buzzword right now, but the truth is there are many flavors of 4K resolutions being used today,” said Barbier. Common variations include: 4K /30p, 4K /60p (4:2:0), 4K /60p (4:4:4), 4K (HDR), 4K DCI (4096x2160), 4K UHD (3840x2160), and even others. These variations are suited for different purposes. For instance, 4K /60p (4:2:0) is suitable for playback of Blu-ray movies, but is not useful for as a computer monitors because text and many applications will appear very small on the screen.

“But 4K becomes useful when your video screens are LED walls and larger than a 1920 pixels wide and that you have custom content or 4K cameras to accommodate a larger video image,” Read added. “When choosing a 4K switcher be sure that it supports HDMI 2.0 as this is the only practical 4K connection to the switcher.”

Audio Considerations: “Embedding and de-embedding audio to and from a video source like HDMI and SDI is very useful for streaming or recording,” said Read. “Selecting a video switcher with built-in advanced audio functions will help to eliminate external gear to embed and de-embed audio to the video sources.”

Going the Distance: HDBaseT technology enables users to present from remote sources or to transmit to a remote display over existing CAT5e and CAT6 cable. “Presentation switchers with built-in HDBaseT extension enable users to take advantage of existing infrastructure saving both time and money,” said Gina Dickson, VP Marketing, Technology Product Solutions at Black Box.

Read agreed adding, “Some video switchers are incorporating HDBaseT in the output connectors so you can use an Ethernet cable to go directly into your screen or projector or convert from HDBaseT at the screen source to HDMI.” If you need to go long distances from your video sources or video displays, consider a switcher with SDI connections or HDBaseT connection. SDI inherently supports longer distances than HDMI.

Seamless Switching: When more than one source is required, it can be inefficient and time consuming to switch between sources. Look for the ability to switch quickly between sources, like projectors and laptops, with low latency. “Lulls in a presentation can lead to losing the audience’s interest,” said Dickson.

This is especially important for live events, such as houses of worship services, added Clint Hoffman, chief operating officer at Kramer Electronics. “What is the switching time and how ‘clean’ is that switch? This is very important. Be sure you know how quickly a switch will occur and what it might look like on screen.”

Control: Don’t forget to consider how the system will be controlled. Can the switcher be controlled via LAN, RS-232, IR, and/or front panel buttons? Look for advanced control features. “For instance, EDID management is a critical component of system management that is sometimes overlooked or misunderstood,” warned Barbier. “Does the product include powerful EDID management capabilities, just basic EDID adjustments, or even any EDID management at all?”

IMAG Considerations: “All-in-one purpose-built hardware switchers are more likely to have lower latency and are designed for live production switching which include IMAG (Image Magnification),” noted Read “Many system-dependent or computer-based switchers are designed for web streaming and are not suitable for in-room switching due to the high latency.”

The Best Live Video Switchers (Mixers) for Beginners

BoxCast Team • September 29, 2022

When it's time to level up your live stream from one to two or more cameras, your production setup adds an additional piece of equipment: a video switcher.

What Is a Live Video Switcher?

A video switcher, also known as a video mixer , allows you to bring in multiple feeds (camera, audio, presentation slides, etc.) and choose which one to send live at any given moment. For a quick overview of switchers and the role they play in a live streaming production setup, watch this video:

A live video switcher lets you take multiple video inputs and direct your video output. It’s a device you need in order to switch between different camera angles within a multi-cam production.

Think of it this way: If you have a live event with a speaker, an audience, and a wide shot of the entire location, you could use a switcher to shift between a lot of camera angles for the people watching the stream online.

Ever watch an NBA game? What if that was only one angle? It would take you out of the experience, make it difficult to see the action, and be extremely boring. That’s where video switchers for live streaming come into play. A video switcher (or mixer) brings a lot of value to your production for such a small investment — especially when you're live streaming events.

Keep reading to see our recommendations for the best live streaming video switchers for your setup and how they work.

Hardware vs. Software Switchers

The biggest difference between types of video switchers for live streaming is whether they're hardware or software.

Hardware Video Switchers

Hardware switchers are dedicated devices for switching between camera views. They’re physical boxes that take in video feeds via direct HDMI or SDI inputs . They offer a control panel with buttons to switch between camera feeds and add production elements.

Software Video Switchers

Video switcher software, on the other hand, takes video camera feeds into a computer using a video capture card and allows you to switch between and add production elements on a computer. They’re generally less expensive, but you’ll need to buy a video capture card in order for your computer to take your camera feeds. Computers on their own aren’t actually video inputs —they're only video outputs. That’s where a capture card comes in.

What Kind of Video Switcher for Live Streaming Do I Need?

Both hardware and software switchers can be great options depending on your workflow and needs. Software switchers are really useful, but the more cameras you add to your production, the better off you'll be switching (pun intended) to a hardware switcher.

We tend to recommend hardware switchers more often because a production setup that doesn't require a computer with additional hardware (e.g., cables and capture cards) is one that's less likely to fall prey to complications and mishaps. Hardware switchers are a good investment. They can be more expensive, but they’re often more reliable than video switcher software.

The Best Video Switchers for Beginners

The switchers we highlight here have all been tested and approved by our in-house Video Production team here at BoxCast . We’ve used and reviewed several hardware switchers and one software switcher below. Each is easy, reliable, and under $1,000.

1. Hardware Switcher: Roland V-1 HD ($595)

Why we like it: Roland's highly-popular prosumer switcher is an excellent choice for multi-cam live streaming for small churches , smaller corporate meetings , and youth sports . With four HDMI inputs, a built-in audio mixer, and picture-in-picture (PIP) capability, this device offers professional features for producing a live event at a fraction of the cost. Read our full Roland V-1 HD Review .

2. Hardware Switcher: Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro ($495)

Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro

Why we like it: Like the Roland V-1 HD, Blackmagic’s user-friendly prosumer switcher is also a great choice for multi-cam live streaming for small churches, smaller corporate meetings, and youth sports. The ATEM Mini Pro has four HDMI inputs, built-in audio mixing, PIP capability, and professional, cost-effective production features. Better still? It can become a dedicated live streaming device that pushes your video to our streaming service with the click of a button, so you don’t necessarily need to pair it with an encoder to go live.

Watch how easy it is to connect to BoxCast here.

3. Hardware Switcher: Roland V-8 HDMI Switcher ($1495)

Why we like it: The Roland V-8 is a higher-end video switcher that combines professional features, connectivity, and special effects with entry-level usability. With eight HDMI video inputs, three HDMI outputs, and separate RCA inputs, this switcher gives plenty of flexibility and creative freedom to scale your productions over time. There’s also a built-in monitor on the switcher, which allows you to see multi-view, preview, or program feeds at all times on the device itself. You can live switch, mix audio, and apply special effects on the switcher itself, or control it on an iPad using Roland’s remote control app.

4. Software Switcher: Wirecast ($495+)

Wirecast software switcher

Why we like it: Wirecast is one of the most user-friendly software switchers on the market. You can easily switch back and forth between various camera angles and incorporate overlays onto your stream . Though you do have to pay for it, you can test it out with a free trial. You can also read more about BoxCast's integration with Wirecast here .

Remember: Software switchers do require the purchase of a video capture card in order to allow your computer to receive individual video signals.

Review: KRAMER VP-774AMP Presentation Switcher/Scaler

For churches with a lot of digital video sources...the VP-774 (MSRP $3,595) would work well and doesn’t take up much space.

by Jim Kumorek

vp-774amp.jpe

KRAMER VP-774AMP Presentation Switcher/Scaler.

Kramer has a great reputation for making quality presentation video switchers, and as digital video signals become increasingly the norm, it's to be expected that switchers will also transition to fewer analog and more digital inputs. The Kramer VP-774AMP is one of the latest switchers in the Kramer lineup, and it follows this paradigm. While still retaining some analog capability for backwards-compatibility, the VP-774AMP is definitely geared more towards the digital video world.

Before we get into the details, however, it would be good to review what a presentation switcher is all about. This type of switcher is designed to be more flexible on the types of inputs it accepts, and does not expect the inputs to be synchronized (also known as gen-locked). What this means is that each input source may be at a completely different place in outputting a frame of video. While input one might be at the very start of a frame, input two might have a signal that's in the middle of a frame, and input three might be near the end of a frame. And, each input might be a completely different resolution, compounding the problem. Production switchers, which is what you'd find at TV stations and in venues where live video is a priority, tend to require the same resolution at each input, and expect each signal to be synchronized so that each input is seeing a signal that's at exactly the same point in a frame.

With the VP-774AMP, the unit has a scaler and frame synchronizer that it uses to processes the selected video input to match the setting and synchronization of the switcher's output. The scaler changes the resolution of the input signal to match the output signal, and the synchronizer delays the input signal so that it aligns perfectly with the output signal.

With the presence of only one scaler/synchronizer, this means that the switcher cannot do a clean cross-fade between two input signals. To solve this problem, it fades to black, changes to the new input signal, starts scaling and synchronizing the new input, and then fades up the new input signal. This works fine for presentation-type use of video, but isn't what you would want for doing IMAG or streaming your service to the Internet, as you'd fade through black with every camera switch.

However, for a church where your screens are used to present lyrics from a computer, switch to a camera occasionally for special purposes (like projecting a baptism), and switch to a DVD player for video clip playback, this type of switcher handles this situation in a cost-effective compact package.

The Kramer VP-774AMP provides nine video inputs: four HDMI, one DisplayPort, one HD-SDI, two PC VGA, and one composite. Each input (except for SDI) also has a separate audio input if needed. DVI PC outputs can easily be connected to the switcher via a DVI to HDMI cable.

For outputs, the VP-774AMP provides one SDI, two HDMI, and one HDbaseT output, all with embedded audio, as well as analog audio output terminals.

For churches with screens used to present song lyrics and sermon notes from a computer, and THAT only occasionally use live cameras, the VP-744AMP switcher handles the situation in a cost-effective, compact package.

The switcher can also be controlled via its RS232 or Ethernet connectors, allowing integration to Crestron, AMX, or other custom control systems.

A first for Kramer presentation switchers, extended display identification data (EDID) on the inputs is user-definable, which allows greater control in a plug and play environment. EDID provides information about what sort of display is connected to a video system, including the resolution of the display. If it is desired that the EDID on the input of the scaler should match the output resolution one can simply set it that way (and that is the way that Kramer would recommend that it be done).

The VP-774AMP is also able to be used with Emergency Alert Systems, which can be used to display federal, state and county alert messages as well as alert messages generated for your campus. This requires the integration of an EAS server in your church campus, so this would be of use primarily to large church campuses. But it's interesting, and as security is an increasingly prevalent topic in schools and churches, it's something to explore.

The VP-774AMP was easy to set up and get working. I utilized my HD television as my output device, using one of the HDMI outputs, and used a Mac Mini via HDMI, an HD video camera via HDMI, and a Lenovo Laptop via VGA as inputs. The switcher automatically set its output to the ideal resolution and frequency for the television by default.

Switching between inputs was fast and clean. The fade-through-black worked well, and was much faster that I've seen on previous models of Kramer switchers. I never saw any glitches in the output.

The switcher supports picture-in-picture (PiP), which was reasonably easy to set up through the on-screen-display menus. Once you've picked the PiP mode, position and size, the simplest way to activate it is by pressing and holding the PiP button on the front panel for three seconds. To select the PiP input source, press the desired source button while pressing the PiP button. To deactivate PiP, press and hold the PiP button for three seconds.

The VP-774AMP has a luma-keying option, but it has its drawbacks. Luma keying works via the PiP system, where the PiP source is treated as the input to be keyed and overlaid, showing the regular video input behind it. The darker the PiP image, the more transparent it is. To do a basic lower-third, you'd use a program like PowerPoint to create graphics with bright lettering (for no transparency) and perhaps have it over a grey-shaded bar along the bottom of the graphic to create a semi-transparent darker background. This works—but the PiP window is limited in how large it can be. I could not make the PiP window wider than 1,600 pixels, which prevented it from completely covering my 1920x1080 main input video, and thus wouldn't let me completely cover the main input with a keyed graphic. You can work with this, but it limits you on what you do for graphics because a centered lower-third will start about 150 pixels in from the left and right edges, which can look a little strange.

I also found that the freeze button, which freezes the currently output video frame on the output, acts a little funny. I selected an input and pressed the freeze button. The image remained frozen at the time I pressed the button, but if I then switched to a new input source, the video unfroze with the new source, but the freeze button remained lit.

The VP-774AMP has a built-in web server that lets you change the system settings. While the current firmware at the time of this review just simulated the VP774's remote control, the beta firmware available has a full menu system to make it easier to browse the setup functions, make changes, and even switch inputs via the web interface.

I didn't have any means to test the EAS system in a “real” environment, but the current beta version of the firmware provides a way to simulate an emergency alert message, which worked well.

The Bottom Line

For churches with a lot of digital connectivity in video sources, and that aren't trying to do multi-camera IMAG where the ability to switch directly from one input to another is important, a switcher like the VP-774 (MSRP $3,595) would work well and doesn't take up much space. It's certainly much cleaner and more reliable than switching inputs on a video projector directly. If keying in lower-thirds is a critical aspect of your video needs, this switcher may not be as full-featured as you will need, but for occasional keying needs, the keying function did work well in a non-full-frame mode.

If you don't have a need for the SDI input/output, you can get the VP-773 which is the same switcher without SDI, at a lower price point.

Control presentations and still-images inside your computer

On shows and events where different speakers bring their own presentations, APS is an indispensable tool for the AV-technician responsible for the visual content: You no longer have to search the Finder-menu for the next presentation. By using our commands instead, you get a smoother workflow when dealing with Powerpoint, Keynote and PDF files.

Use buttons and shortcuts to switch between Keynote, Powerpoint and PDF-presentations

Freeze the slide while you go out of the presentation to do edits

Display other images on top of your presentation

Simplify your setup

In large coorporate events, APS can reduce the number of computers and switcher-inputs needed to handle presentations

For smaller conference-setups, APS can replace the traditional hardware presentation-switcher

Trusted by leading industry professionals

APS is an invaluable part of our setup, especially for productions with limited crew. To be able to switch between presentations seamlessly on 1 machine simplifies our setup alot, and enables us to deliver professional, sleak looking events with a minimum of hardware and crew.

I am a technologist and a power user of apps and I can tell you that PresentationTools apps are few of the best tools I have ever used during my shows.

– Mark Wehbeh, Spacetune Events, UAE

what is a presentation switcher

APS changes presentations with one button in about 2sec and we now enjoy a stress-free handling of whole folders full of presentations. APS is truly a lifesaver and makes presentation switching a breeze.

– Livestream Producer at Tekna, Norway

I have just purchased and put APS into use at a conference. It worked very well and will be a very useful tool for me going forward. Will continue to recommend it.

– Dan Inge Bruheim, Totaltek A/S, Norway

Switch presentations with shortcuts

With APS, Ctrl + right arrow (PC) or Command + right arrow (Mac) will display the next presentation in the folder. This makes it easy to create a playlist of presentations: The only preparation you need is to sort them numerically in a folder. Then, during the show, just push the APS-shortcut to display the next file.

Display images and screenshots

Our new image-viewer tries to solve the problem of what the presentation-computer should show to the audience when there is no presentation to display. For example, what if you are in the middle of a presentation and you discover that there is a mistake in the next slide? With APS you can now freeze the screen, exit the presentation, do edits and go back, and the audience won’t know what just happened.

And with our image-bank of 10 images you can easily display backdrops and logos before, between and after the presentations, creating a seamless and flexible workflow inside the box

Companion intergration

All the commands for APS can be found in the popular Companion-software, which allows you control different devices using hardware-controllers over the local network. Feedback on the buttons will show if an image is displayed or ready to be used. With our presets found in the Companion menu  it is easy to drag and drop the buttons where you need them.

what is a presentation switcher

New: Advanced presentation-control

Version 2.1 of APS brings more commands and feedback for our Companion-module:

  • Create buttons that opens specific Powerpoint, Keynote and PDF files. Choose which slide it will start from, and whether it will start in fullscreen.
  • Advance slides while using other applications
  • Go to specific slides

Control your licences from the user-dashboard

With a subscription-licence  you  can  create an account  on this site where you can monitor your licences, release licences from activated computers, and manage your subscriptions registered to your email-address.

Exploring the Features of Q-NEX 4K HDMI Networked Presentation Switcher

InfoComm Asia 2023 - t6

Do you often feel flustered during meetings or collaborative communication due to equipment issues, for example, without the help of Networked Presentation Switcher? The problems you may face include PowerPoint on your computer not being able to be displayed on the main screen of the meeting room promptly, forgetting to centrally manage the equipment in the discussion room due to a rushed schedule, or being unable to turn off the power of the equipment on time due to the lack of a unified administrator background, resulting in resource waste, Or it may have taken up the time for organizing the next deployment meeting. These are indeed very headache-inducing things, but don’t worry. With well-designed smart devices, these tricky problems can be solved. In this article, we will learn about the advanced features of our 4K HDMI networked presentation switcher , designed to streamline video and audio and control signal transmission.

1.    What is a Networked Presentation Switcher

Networked Presentation Switch is a clever tool for integrating and managing multiple source devices, making it easy to switch, transfer, and project content from computers, video players, cameras, and more.

2.    The features of 4K HDMI

4K HDMI fiber optic cable has the advantages of large bandwidth, low latency, and low loss. It does not require an additional power supply for a 100-meter transmission, meeting the needs of office, cinema, theater, or home scenarios.

2.1 An introduction to HDMI

HDMI refers to a high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI). From the perspective of interface types, HDMI is a fully digital video and sound transmission interface. The HDMI interface can efficiently transmit images and sound to display devices through the HDMI protocol. HDMI has a wide range of applications. HDMI quickly became widely used, with high compatibility in players, televisions, gaming consoles, tablets, and cameras.

2.2 The benefit of 4K HDMI

It has ultra-high-quality product performance and a wide range of applications. For example, the Sony PS5 game console supports 4K/120Hz ultra-high graphics output, which has dramatically improved the 1080P graphics quality compared to the PS4 console, allowing gamers to enjoy unparalleled immersion with the help of technology.

2.3 The 4K high-definition features of Q-NEX NPS

Our advanced Q-NEX NPS Networked Presentation Switcher is a 4K60Hz 4:4:4 2X2 HDMI BYOD&BYOM presentation switcher, streamlining the transmission of 4K video, audio, and control signals for conference rooms. Tailored for seamless collaboration with cameras, speakerphones, and USB devices, enhancing offline conference and video conference experiences.

We have a preliminary understanding of what Q-NEX NPS is. In the following section, let’s explore its role in promoting collaboration and video conferencing.

3.    The role of Networked Presentation Switch in collaborative discussion

John Donne made a classic comment on the relationship between individuals and groups, “No one is an independent island.”. Perhaps you have also seen this sentence while reading books or browsing blogs and may even engage in corresponding philosophical thinking about it. Since the pandemic of COVID-19, many people have become more and more accustomed to loneliness after experiencing the abnormal living conditions of isolation and living alone. However, this is dangerous because the lack of cooperation will lead to a lack of opportunities and wealth. The demand for collaboration solutions and improving team building skills is more common than ever.

3.1 The significance of collaborative discussion

Collaborative discussion helps to leverage the unique strengths of each team member, fill gaps in personal skills, and enable them to contribute to larger goals. Collaboration can allow team members to achieve the ultimate goal of one plus one being more significant than two. Using intelligent devices such as Networked Presentation Switch in collaboration can maximize the power of collaboration to improve process efficiency and help teams complete tasks on time.

3.2 The essence of a Networked Presentation Switch

The Networked Presentation Switch integrates and manages multiple inputs in collaborative solutions. It can easily switch and share content from different participants, support video conferencing, achieve remote access and control, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of cooperation.

3.3 Real-time content sharing

Through the Networked Presentation Switch, discussion members participating in collaborative collaboration can instantly share their screen content. This is very useful for presenting presentations, reports, data, charts, etc., so all attendees can see and interact with them. This way, participants can better communicate ideas, share information, and facilitate discussion and decision-making.

3.4 Collaborative presentation

Networked Presentation Switch enables multiple participants to share their on-screen content simultaneously. In collaboration, participants can share their computer screens, documents, presentations, multimedia files, and so on. By switching and displaying these shared content, participants can better understand and participate in discussions and decisions.

4.    The practice of Networked Presentation Switch in video conferencing

One charm of the Networked Presentation Switch is its ability to provide high-quality video and audio transmission, allowing video conference participants to share screen content, presentations, and multimedia files. The convenient multi-source switching and display function meets the deep demand for real-time collaboration and communication. In addition, remote control and access functions, which are more modern and in line with development needs technology, also provide a richer and more efficient experience for video conferencing.

4.1 Multi-source input management

Networked Presentation Switch can receive and manage input from multiple source devices from different participants. These source devices can be computers, mobile devices, or other multimedia devices from separate locations. Switching and forwarding these inputs makes it easy to share and present the content of different participants in collaborative sessions.

4.2 High-level video conferencing support

Networked Presentation Switch is typically integrated with a video conferencing system to Switch and display video streams from different participants during a meeting. Participants can see other people’s videos at the same time to achieve a more intuitive, real-life remote collaboration experience.

In summary, the helpful Networked Presentation Switch not only enhances collaboration in online solutions, but also provides a better conference experience for participants in video conferences.
