A Visitor from Another World is a Special Assignment and an Optional Quest in Monster Hunter World (MHW) . Optional quests are repeatable and unlocked after completing specific points in the main story via Assignments . This quest was added in August 2nd 2018 with the introduction of the Behemoth monster

A Visitor from Another World Information
- Conditions : HR 16 or Higher
- Failure Conditions : Time expires, Faint 3 times.
Update your game to Patch 5.00 or above, and visit Astera. To the right of the Resource Center, you will find a "Serious Handler" NPC with a blue exclamation mark. Talk to her and then this quest will become available from your quest board.
Once in the Wildspire Waste, follow the Cactuar Cutting creatures. You can capture them for 85 points each. The Cactuar located at the zone 8 sand-pit can also be captured for 300 points.
Eventually, you will have a cutscene with a Kulu-Ya-Ku, which you must chase and defeat. An Anjanath and Barroth will interrupt you so bring Dung Pods. Finishing this quest grants a guaranteed Golden Large Crown for Kulu-Ya-Ku.
After the quest talk to the Serious Handler again to proceed to the next quest in Elder's Recess , The Legendary Beast .

Upon loading up Iceborne, the three special assignments I had (midway through Witcher, Behemoth, and Lunestra chains) have all disappeared. Anyone had a similar issue/know what the deal is? Thanks in advance. edit as u/NakedSnake918 pointed out below, the issue comes from your handler being "away".
Special Assignments Not Showing Up. k I know I am just being stupid but I have iceborne, have completed the full base game (after , and I am a couple quests into Iceborne. I want to unlock Lunastra since I never did that, but to do that I have to first beat a deviljho. To do that I have to do a special assignment.
Yes because SH is the one who gives you the quest and believe is in the cutscenes, with you having her and not your actual handler it may be have voided the quest until you have your own handler back for story reasons and how it is coded. #3. So I'm trying to get access to the white winds of the new world quest to farm research commission tickets. I have completed all optional quests which display the red completed except the 7 star which displays blue.
