The prime goal of football game is to score a goal against the opponent team. The team that scores the max number of goals against the other wins the match. As the name suggests, the player plays this game by kicking the ball with their foot. Also, the other name given to this game is “Soccer.”

Football is an extremely popular game that attracts people all throughout the world. It helps many to get relief from stress, teaches teamwork, discipline, and also brings fitness to the fans and players. It is a game of much wonder, joy, and interest.

Football is said to be an ancient Greek game known as “Harpaston.” It was played be kicking a ball with foot by two teams. It was a rough game aimed to score a goal by kicking or running the ball past the goal line.

It was played with no particular side boundaries, the number of players, limits filed to size, and many more. It is said that it had its origin in twelfth. Later on, football became famous in England first, and then its rules came into effect when it became a leading sport in institutions in the 19 th century.

Further, it was spread to the US but was mostly banned in schools because of the increasing brutality. But it got legalised by the committee in 1905. 

How to Play Football Game?

Football is a famous sport that keeps players disciplined and healthy. It develops their team spirit, sense of tolerance, and mind among them. It is played for 90 mins in two halves of 45 mins, and 15 mins break.

This game has two teams of 11 players in each. Here, players have to kick a ball with their feet and take a goal by putting the ball into the goal post of the opponent team. In order to oppose the goal made of players of the opponent team, there is a goal-keeper on both sides. 

Players are prevented to touch the ball with hand except for the goalkeeper. A team having more goals is declared as the winner and the other as a loser. The game football is conducted by two linesmen, one on each side and by a referee.

All the players are warned to follow the rule while playing strictly. It has been an international game & played as a World Cup tournament every four years in various countries throughout the world.

Similar to other games, there are some rules and regulations in a football match. First, the ball shouldn’t be touched by hand. If the ball gets touched, the other team gets a free-kick.

There is a small area near the goalpost. ‘D’ is the game of that area. The boundary of ‘D’ is at least 10 yards from the goalpost. If a player touches the ball, they’re the opposite team gets a penalty.

Further, there are other rules. The second crucial rule is the “offside rule.” In this rule; when the player crosses the defender line, it becomes the off-side. If you are a great fan of football, you must know what defenders are. 

In this sport, the players are into three sub-categories. The first category is “Forward.” These are players who put the ball in the goalpost’s net. The 2 nd category is a “Midfielder.”

They pass the ball to the forward player. The 3 rd category is the “Defenders.” The defenders stop the other team players from putting the ball in the goalpost. 

Apart from this, if a player injures and fouls the other team player, the referee gives him a “Yellow” or “Red Card.” The yellow card is a warning card, and the red card is a suspension card. This card suspends the play for the rest of the football game. 

Like said earlier, sports person plays the game in a rectangular field. Here, the length of the area is 110m, and the breadth is 75m long. There are lines marked in the field known as yards; the centre line is the 50-yard line and the line near the goal post in the 10-yard line.

Each team comprises 2 center forward players, one right out and one left out, 4 back players and 2 halfback players, and a goalie. Here, the players are prevented from touching the ball with hand… Only a goalie can do so.

The game is played between two teams of eleven players on each side. I play it with my friend in the afternoon. 

I  play it regularly. This is my favourite game because it is a game full of thrill and excitement for both players and spectators a game full of excitement and excitement.

The opposite team tries to stop him from going back till he runs out of breath and stops saying kabaddi. If they manage to stop him, he loses. I am very good at Kabaddi because I can run very fast before anyone can catch me. I am also able to hold my breath for a very long time. Kabaddi is my favourite because it is a challenging game and one has to be very strong and fast to win at it.

Hockey is my favourite game because it is challenging and also a lot of fun at the same time. It is the national game of India and is also played throughout the world. The game requires you to stay focused all the time, as even a small lapse of judgment can cost you the winning point. I like volleyball because it is all about strong team coordination. Everybody has to cooperate and work together to win.

Carrom is one of the best board games there is! It is a two-player game, but I love playing it alone too. I enjoy it because it requires strength, accuracy and swiftness while striking every move. The game is fun but challenging because it requires precise moves with an understanding of force and direction of the strike. It took me many months to learn how to shoot the striker properly and hit the tokens on the board. It takes a lot of time to become good at the game as we need a lot of practice to excel in it.

Football is played between two teams. In each team, there are eleven players; one of them is a goalkeeper.

Football is played on the spacious ground. There is a goalpost on each side. Players kick the ball; then they run after it. They cannot touch the ball with their hands.

If they do so, it is considered a foul. Only the goalkeeper can do so. When the football passes through the goal of the opposite team, there is a goal. The team who scores the number of goals will win the match.

My Favourite Game Football Essay in English (460 words)

Last Sunday, a football match was played between our school and S.D Sabha High School, Srinagar on our school grounds.

The students of both schools attended in large numbers to witness the game and buck up their teams. The match had attracted outsiders also. Both the teams were well prepared.

The match was expected to be well-contested. Shri Vinod Khullar of Sri Pratap College was the referee. He was fair and impartial.

The referee blew the whistle at exactly 10 A.M. The captains of both teams reached the center of the ground. There was a spin of the coin.

We won the toss. We, as such, chose the side and the match began. Both the teams were in their respective uniforms. I was to play a center-forward.

I kicked the ball, and our forwards started the attack. The backs of the S.D Sabha School team offered a strong defense.

We made a push several times, but all our attempts to score a goal failed. Once the captain of S.D. The Sabha school team brought the ball along and kicked it right into our goal.

It was an excellent shot, but our goalkeeper, who was very smart and active, caught hold of the ball and sent it back over the heads of the forwarders.

Both sides tried to score a goal but in vain. Half time was called and both the teams retired for refreshment. After ten minutes, the referee whistled, and the game started again.

In the second half, both teams put up their best to make the game exciting. There were some fine kicks and counter kicks. This time our opponent pressed our team hard.

Our players were on the defensive now. The defense, however, did not prove effective. The opposing team’s captain got a chance and shot the ball through the goalposts.

There were loud cheers by their supporters. Our team did not feel discouraged; we hoped to equalize. Only ten minutes were left now. Our players now tried to play with extra zeal. I got the ball and passed it on to the right forward, Suresh Sharma.

He dribbled the ball very softly. They cleared the defensive opponents and dashed the goal. There was no other player except the goalkeeper. Suresh Sharma kicked the ball, and it passed through the poles. Loud shouts of joy were raised for our school students.

Only two minutes were left, S.D. Sabha school team tried its level best to score a goal within a short time, but their efforts were not crowned with success.

After the time was over, the referee blew a long whistle. The match ended in a draw. The game of football is an interesting game that keeps our whole body active.

My favorite game is football . It is one of the oldest sports to date. It is played with a black and white checkered ball that is kicked around. Two teams of eleven players each participate in the game. The score is kept by kicking the ball into the opposing team’s goalpost and scoring the most number of goals . The injury risk is high in this game, but it doesn’t deter people from playing it.

International matches between countries are an eagerly anticipated season around the world. In these games, new talents are introduced. Barcelona, Madrid, Brazil, Chelsea, Liverpool, Germany, England, and Spain,etc., are some of the top teams with players whose names are synonymous with football. My favorite footballers are Messi, Ronaldo and Beckham. Their unbelievable performance in football matches has taken the world by storm. There is no corner of the world where their name is not known.

I play football for my college team as well. I am the midfield player which means I tackle the opposing players and ensure my teammates score a goal. Football requires a lot of practice and agility. Our coach makes us practice daily. We are also assigned a specific diet and a strict exercise regime to help us stay in shape for the inter-college championship season. My college has won a dozen games since the matches began to be held. Team morale is high during football season and we have managed to win the first and second place trophy since I joined.

Because we bring honor to our college we are treated somewhat like celebrities there. My teammates and I are fast friends and we play for fun as much as possible. We even play football on Xbox and study the moves of the great players in the hopes of learning moves from them. My family is also enthusiastic about football. We watch football matches religiously in our house. My youngest brother, who is 8, knows all the rules of the game by heart.

My Favourite game essay-Playing games are very important for a human being. It keeps a man fit. Moreover, it keeps him away from diseases. Having some physical hobby is essential for a person. Tennis , badminton, etc. Since in India the famous game is cricket many children are having it as a hobby. But my favorite is football.

My Favorite Game – Football

When I was a child I liked cricket too but was never good at it. So I changed my hobby to football . Football was new to me in class 3. I did not play well in the beginning. But I liked the game very much. So I started practicing it. As a result, I began to play it well.

In class 5 I became the captain of my class football team. At that time I was so much excited to become the captain. With time a learned a lot about football.

In Football total 22 players play. Division of players is in two teams. Each team has 11 players. These players have to play with the ball only with legs. They have to kick the ball in the other teams’ goal post. Football is not like cricket. Weather is not an issue in football. Due to which players can play it the whole year.

In addition to football is a game of stamina. The players have to run on the field for the whole game. Also for 90 minutes too. Since 90 minutes is a lot there is a division in time. There are two halves. The first is of 45 minutes. Likewise, the second half is of 45 minutes too.

Rules in the Game

Like all the other games there are some rules and regulations too. First of all, the ball should not touch the ball by hand. If the ball gets touched by hand the other team gets a free-kick. There is a small area near the goal post. ‘D’ is the name of that area. The boundary of the ‘D’ is at least 10 yards from the goal post. If the player touches the ball there the opposite team gets a penalty.

Moreover, there are other rules. The second important rule is the ‘Off-Side Rule’. In this rule, if the player crosses the defender line it becomes an offside. If you are a true fan of football you must know what are defenders.

In the game, the players are into three subcategories. The first category is Forward. Forward are players who put the ball in the net of the goal post. The second category is a Midfielder. Midfielders are players who pass the ball to the forward player. The third category is the defenders. Defenders stop the other team players to put the ball in the goal post.

In addition to all the players playing on the field, there are other players too. These are substitute players. Football is a harsh game. Because of which many players get injured. When players get injured the substitutes take their place for the rest of the game.

Furthermore, there is a referee on the field. Whenever any place does a foul the referee whistles and stops the game. The referee then gives the penalty or a free-kick to the team foul against.

Moreover, if a player injures and fouls the other team player the referee gives him a Yellow or Red Card. The yellow card is a warning card. The red card is a suspension card. This card suspends the player for the rest of the game.

Football is my favorite game because it is quite challenging and interesting game. I began to play football while I was 6 years old.

Since then it has become my passion. It is also called “king sport” and is the most famous sport in the entire world.

Daily we have 30 minutes sports period in my school. I play football every day with my school buddies in sports period. In India also football is gaining wide popularity. It is played between cities, villages and towns as well. The ball used in this game is made up of leather material from outside & robber bladder from inside.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

Whenever the ball loses its air due to kicking it can be pumped and refilled with an air pump into the bladder. A level rectangular grass field having goal at each end is used to play football. The size of the field must be 100 yard in length & 55 yard in breadth is required to play football.

While the match is played between the 2 teams, the ground is separated into 2 equal sides having goal post on each side. The game is played between two teams having six, seven or eleven players in each team. Each team aims to score points by kicking the ball inside the goal of the opposite team.

In total there are 1 goal keeper, 2 full backs, 5 forwards and 3 half backs standing on either side if each team is having 11 players in total. Team having fewer players is adjusted accordingly. The forward players try to kick the football inside the goal post located on their opposite party. The goal keeper & the backs try to save the goals. A referee helped by the lines men supervises the entire game. The overall duration for which the game is played is ninety minutes. There is a time out/ break for ten minutes. The team that successfully scores more goals is declared as the winning team. Sometimes none of the team scores any goal, or scores equal no of goals. In such cases the match is declared as a drawn match.

I am unable to control my emotions when my team wins while playing. I shout aggressively. I go crazy. Playing football keeps me fit, healthy and boosts my immunity power as well. I actively take part in football competitions in my school as well as city. Playing football helps me to make me energetic and overcome stress due to exams and studies.
