Essay on My School: 2

Do you ever wonder why we forget what we learned in the Colleges or life but still remember those 24 letters of the alphabet that we learned when we were infants? Well, to us, this is a miracle that happened at the start of our educational journey of every student that an infant mind captures the things so long. The school is a blessing in disguise and the proof of the importance of a school in our life. School is the place where we cry going the very day and also cry, leaving the last day.

There is an excellent slogan in Sanskrit, which, when translated in English, reveals that education imparts morality and loyalty to each and everyone and is the reason behind everyone’s success in life. Here people may question that many people are still successful despite being dropouts. Then why education alone is credited for his/her success?

At the very instance, it seems correct. We may take example of Sachin Tendulkar. Despite a school dropout, he has created histories in his life. Correct. but do you know who has been credited for his stupendous achievements? The answer is Shri Ramakant Vitthal Achrekar. This man was Sachin’s first teacher, who taught him how to handle a cricket bat. There are many more examples where it has been seen that the person had not formerly completed the education yet also succeed in their lives with the help of the very first instance that he look the face of school. School plays a crucial role not only in imparting education but also in developing overall personality in the students.

I studied in a school which was near to my home. It was a small school in a small town, not like today’s convent like school. It has only a two-storied building. The infantry and junior sections were on the ground floor while the senior parts were on the first floor of the building. It was those days when I joined the school in lower Kindergarten. My heart was in deep sorrow that I have to be away from my mother for like 4-5 hours. I was weeping and in agony that Dai Maa arrived at me and asked if I need some help from her and then brought me a glass of water and I clean tone asked me to drink. I drank the complete water in one ship out of shivering and afraid of being scolded again. Then she took me to my class and ordered me to be there till the last bell rings. Being afraid of scolding again, I sat quietly and waited for the last bell to ring. After the bell, I hurried as if a prisoner is freed from prison and asked to leave otherwise will be prisoned again. I ran to the Dai Maa and took me back Home. It continues for some days, and I met my first School friend. I, along with him, started the journey of an education getter and stared to exploring what a beautiful place my school was. Surrounded by a garden from all the sides with notice board, “Plucking off a flower is strictly prohibited.” Our Headmaster, a master in biology and zoology, himself took care of the garden, and anyone who disobeys was taken to task.

Not only a fascinating garden, but my school also had an excellent science laboratory where we use to analyze various chemical compounds and sometimes make a blunder, which could break all the furnishes( flask) available with a boom. The teachers of my school were all good and fit for the profession they chose. It is their role in my life that today when I looked back, my eyes fill with tears in their remembrance.

With the teachers who compel me to learn the tasks daily and impel to my success at considerable length. They propel me ahead of anyone else in the journey called life. It is not only the one reason I love my school but also as they noted guardian they overlook and not ignored my wicked deed on the campus of the school’s premises. Was that of my first crush whom I meet in class 8th. Understanding the seriousness of the age group and the attraction towards the opposite sex, my teacher called me and, with much sympathy, promised me that he will help me when the time comes.

Today we both are settled with our partners with the same essence of friendship understand that it was just an attraction and nothing more than that. As this can happen at the age, we were in, but as the time came, both of us understood the reality.

What has My School Taught Me?

My school, like everyone else’s school, taught me to live life to the fullest and enjoy this present movement without worrying about the future. The very first day itself, our Headmaster taught the importance of plants and gardens. It fills my heart with the joy unspeakable to try to sum up what my school taught me. My school life started with the lesson and big lecture in the form of cold-hearted scold by my master over the importance of plantation and why we should not pluck the flower off.

Not only about the greenery had my school also taught me the value and importance of wildlife. Some time it disheartened me over the decreasing number of Tigers in our country. It happened only due to the teaching of my school. My school taught me the importance of life and also the importance of being a livelihood.

Key Points to Remember When Writing an Essay About My Family for Class 1

My family essay in english – 10 lines for class 1, short essay on my family for class 1, what will your first grader learn from the ‘my family’ essay.

Essay writing is vital for children since this activity helps a child develop their thought processes. When a child writes about their family, they tend to understand the value of their family from that tender age itself. A family is a group of one’s own people who stay under the same roof. They can be parents and grandparents, children, brothers and sisters, uncles and aunties. A family may include pets who form an essential part of a family. While writing about the family, the child understands the value of love, care, cooperation, respect, kindness, and support. Being exposed to these values, the child grows up to be a caring adult.

There are some things to keep in mind when writing an essay on your family. So, make sure to include all these points to enhance its quality:

  • Mention all your family members, such as your parents, grandparents, siblings, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
  • You can also mention their profession, for adding that personal touch.
  • Talk about your current and past pets to add an emotional and unique aspect.
  • You can also talk about which member you are the closest to, and why.
  • Mention the family activities you all do together.
  • Mention a fond memory involving the entire family.

Family is one of the most important aspects of a child. The ten lines on ‘My Family’ talk about the importance of each family member. They also emphasize the values, principles, and emotional bonding among the family members –

  • I have a big family.
  • My father’s a businessman, and my mother’s a teacher.
  • My grandfather is a retired businessman, and my grandmother is a stay-at-home-mother.
  • My grandparents are the heads of the family
  • My brother studies in high school.
  • My uncle and aunt run a shelter for helpless animals.
  • My cousins go to college.
  • I love my pets, Tyson and Julie.
  • My family always helps poor people and street animals.
  • There’s a lot of love, cooperation, and kindness in all my family members, and I love my family.

A family means the world to a child. It is the family members with whom a child spends the most time since birth, and the family lays the foundation of a child’s character. Below is a short essay about this topic –

My family is big. I live with my parents, grandparents, brother, uncle, aunty, cousins, and pets – Tyson and Julie. My father is a businessman. My mother is a teacher. My grandfather is a retired businessman, and my grandmother is a homemaker. My brother studies in high school, which is far from home. My uncle runs a pharmacy. Both uncle and aunt also run a shelter to take care of helpless animals. My cousins study in college. Our family has adopted Tyson and Julie from the school ground in the neighbourhood. They lived there with their siblings and their mother. All of us have our family dinner together. All of us kids play with Tyson and Julie on our lawn. On weekends, my father and uncle take us to the park.

A simple essay on this topic will play a big role in a child’s life. Essay writing will develop the child’s thought process. It will help them think about their family and express those thoughts on paper. This develops their skill in the formation of sentences, figuring out basic grammar, and enhancing their creative skills. Writing a composition about the family will instill the importance of a family in a child during times when everyone is occupied in the digital world, overlooking the importance of family bonds. Spending family time together strengthens the connection among the family members. They support each other, which is a very important factor for a child, even after they grow up. The child knows that their family will always be there as a support system, come what may. The family will give the child a safe environment and a sense of security. The family builds the identity of a child and builds their character. Even after they grow up, the child will be a reflection of their family. Writing a family essay for Grade 1 will enhance the child’s emotional bonding with all the family members.

Essay writing for a little child of Class 1 is quite important, as it helps the child think and then express those thoughts on paper, helping them to form sentences and know the basics of grammar. And among the many topics, making them write about their family can make them understand the importance of family and how to articulate their feelings better through an essay.

Essay on My School for Students and Children

500+ words essay on my school.

Education is an essential part of our lives. We are nothing without knowledge, and education is what separates us from others. The main step to acquiring education is enrolling oneself in a school. School serves as the first learning place for most of the people. Similarly, it is the first spark in receiving an education. In this essay on my school, I will tell you why I love my school and what my school has taught me.

We have all been to school and we have loved each and every moment we have spent over there as those were the building blocks of our lives. A school is a place where students are taught the fundamentals of life, as well as how to grow and survive in life. It instils in us values and principles that serve as the foundation for a child’s development.

My school is my second home where I spend most of my time. Above all, it gives me a platform to do better in life and also builds my personality. I feel blessed to study in one of the most prestigious and esteemed schools in the city. In addition, my school has a lot of assets which makes me feel fortunate to be a part of it. Let us look at the essay on my school written below.

essay on my school

Why I Love My School?

From kindergarten through primary and secondary school, and subsequently, to faculty, school is a place where we always study, grow, and establish ourselves, socialize, be a friend, help others, and love and be loved. School is a buddy that will accompany us from the beginning of our youth till the conclusion of our lives. At school, we share all of our pleasures and sorrows, and we constantly rely on one another. This is made possible through the friendships we share. They assist us in effortlessly overcoming difficulties, sharing moments of enjoyment together, and looking forward to new paths.

My school strikes the perfect balance between modern education and vintage architecture. The vintage buildings of my school never fail to mesmerize me with their glorious beauty. However, their vintage architecture does not mean it is outdated, as it is well-equipped with all the contemporary gadgets. I see my school as a lighthouse of education bestowing knowledge as well as ethical conduct upon us.

Teachers have the power to make or break a school. The teaching staff is regarded as the foundation of any educational society. It is their efforts to help kids learn and understand things that instil good habits and values in their students. While some concepts are simple to grasp, others necessitate the use of a skilled teacher to drive the home the idea with each pupil.

In contrast to other schools, my school does not solely focus on academic performance. In other words, it emphasizes on the overall development of their students. Along with our academics, extra-curricular activities are also organized at our school. This is one of the main reasons why I love my school as it does not measure everyone on the same scale. Our hardworking staff gives time to each child to grow at their own pace which instils confidence in them. My school has all the facilities of a library , computer room, playground, basketball court and more, to ensure we have it all at our disposal.

For me, my school is more than simply an educational institution; it is also my second family, which I established during my childhood. A family of wonderful friends, outstanding teachers, and fond school memories. I adore my school because it is where I learn how to be a good citizen and how to reach my goals. School is the only place where we make friends without judging them. We feel comfortable spending time with those close friends no matter what the situation.

What has My School Taught Me?

If someone asked me what I have learned from my school, I won’t be able to answer it in one sentence. For the lessons are irreplaceable and I can never be thankful enough for them. I learned to share because of my school. The power of sharing and sympathy was taught to me by my school. I learned how to be considerate towards animals and it is also one of the main reasons why I adopted a pet.

school essay in english class 1

School is an excellent place to learn how to be an adult before entering the real world. Those abilities pay dividends whether you choose to be the bigger person in an argument or simply complete your domestic tasks. When you open your mind to new ideas, you gain a lot of influence in society. Picking up unexpected hobbies on your own will teach you more about what you like to do than simply completing things for a grade.

A school is a place where I developed my artistic skills which were further enhanced by my teachers. Subsequently, it led me to participate in inter-school completions through which I earned various awards. Most importantly, my school taught me how to face failures with grace and never give up on my ambitions, no matter what happens.

Schools also offer a variety of extracurricular activities such as Scouts and Guides, sports, N.C.C., skating, school band, acting, dancing, singing, and so on. Our principal also used to give us a short lecture every day for about 10 minutes about etiquette, character development, moral education, respecting others, and gaining excellent values. As a result, I can claim that what I am today is solely due to my school, which is the best institution in my opinion.

Teamwork is an important ability that schools teach. Schools are frequently the first places where youngsters have the opportunity to collaborate with children who are different from them. Collaboration is essential for the team and individual success. Students are taught that the success of a team depends on each individual component functioning together.

To sum it up, studying in one of the respected schools has helped me a lot personally. I will always be indebted to my school for shaping my personality and teaching me invaluable lessons. It has given me friends for life and teachers that I will always look up to. I aspire to carry on the values imbibed by my school to do well in life and make it proud.

Phase 1: An introduction to English 101

Entering the Fall semester in City College was an occurrence that frankly wasn’t in my plan book. A last option, a safety net, something to fall back on, that’s all this school meant to me when applying to colleges, yet there I found myself, in the director’s office building out my schedule. Unsure of the validity and dreams this school sold, I was hesitant to take classes that were out of the ordinary, unnecessary, or not geared towards the major I was pursuing. As we were speaking my frustration grew longer in finding no classes seeming to fit my needs, “ would you enjoy a sociology class”, “ I promise you anthropology could give you insight on what to pursue”, every suggestion I shot down. Frustration became a shared feeling and the glass was punctured as she signed me up for a required class. English 101. Freshman Composition. Fine. 11am- 12:15am, no biggie. It was a class I knew was required and something I felt comfortable taking. English being one of my strong suits made this class exciting to me, and eager to learn about the hardship that English language and literature brought in college, a level hopefully above the AP’s I took in high school. This class to me ultimately became the epitome of what I was to judge the school upon. English 101 is a class you take everywhere, whether it was my dream school in NYU, the prestigious Boston University I was meant to attend, or the reality that became CCNY. This essay portrays my first encounter with a CCNY project, and is the base on which to judge my improvement and progression in this class.

So Your High School Doesn’t Offer APs—Are AP Exams Still Important For College Admissions?

Brown University

Advanced Placement courses are offered at thousands of high schools across the U.S.— approximately 35% of public high school graduates in the Class of 2023 took at least one AP exam, and approximately 2.8 million students sat for AP exams in 2023. However, a large number of schools do not offer AP courses. In many cases, this is due to a lack of resources—though strides have been made to increase access to AP courses in underprivileged schools, a gap in access persists along racial and socioeconomic lines. In other cases, schools are ditching the AP curriculum as a result of their educational philosophy. In 2018, elite private schools in the D.C. area such as Sidwell Friends and Georgetown Prep announced their intention to phase out AP classes, citing their desire for a more independent curriculum and a growing frustration with the AP’s orientation toward testing rather than other metrics for success.

Despite these drawbacks, AP courses and exams remain highly regarded by many colleges and universities, as they offer insight into students’ academic acumen and potential to complete college coursework successfully. As a result, many students without access to AP courses are left wondering whether they should still register, study and sit for AP exams.

First and foremost, students should know that colleges and universities evaluate their applications in the context of their school and the opportunities available to them. This means that if students did not have AP classes available to them at their schools, admissions officers will not expect to see AP courses or AP exam scores included in their applications. As such, these students’ applications will not be disadvantaged in any way by not including AP exams.

That being said, there are some scenarios in which a student may still wish to take an AP exam despite not having taken an AP course. These are the top three reasons that students might consider sitting for one or more AP exams:

1. To Earn College Credit

One of the main reasons students take AP exams is to earn college credit. Many colleges and universities grant credit for high AP exam scores (typically for 4s or 5s). By earning credit through AP exams, you may be able to fulfill prerequisites, skip introductory courses, or accelerate your progress toward graduation once you enroll in college. However, this is not the case at every school. In order to determine whether the time and effort you will put into studying and taking an AP exam will be justified, you should research whether the schools you are considering applying to give college credit for high AP exam scores. You can often find this information on admissions or departmental websites, or by contacting admissions representatives at each respective school. You can also check the College Board website to see if the schools on your list accept AP credits, but note that these policies change frequently, so you should still follow up with the schools for verification. If a handful of the schools on your list do accept high scores for credit, it may be a strategic choice to sit for one or more exam.

As Ivy League and other top schools reinstate their standardized testing requirements, some schools have announced their intention to allow students to submit test scores from AP examinations in place of ACT or SAT scores. Dartmouth allows students applying from schools outside of the U.S. to satisfy their testing requirement by submitting three AP exam scores. Meanwhile, Yale’s new test-flexible policy also allows students applying domestically to submit AP and IB scores in lieu of other standardized tests. If you are applying internationally or if you have reason to believe that you will achieve a stronger score on AP exams than on the SAT or ACT, you can consider sitting for the exams. Note that not all schools have such flexible testing policies, so you will likely still need to sit for the SAT or the ACT.

3. To Demonstrate Your Academic Abilities

It is important to remember that while they are not the only way to demonstrate their academic capabilities, AP exams are an unbiased and quantifiable way to assess students’ preparedness for college coursework. Students who struggled academically earlier in their high school years or who want to highlight their skills in a specific discipline may benefit from the inclusion of AP scores in their applicant profiles.

Finally, while students who do not have access to AP classes should consider their options and make a strategic decision about taking exams on the basis of their applicant profiles and academic goals, students who have taken AP courses absolutely should take AP exams. Failing to sit for the exams will not only foreclose the possibility of earning college credit, but it will also reflect poorly on your application and raise questions with admissions committees.
