In the year 610 CE, in the city of Mecca, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) embarked on a journey of profound spiritual awakening. These verses, meticulously transcribed and preserved, became the cornerstone of the Islamic faith, offering a clear and comprehensive guide for human life.

A Universal Message:

Its poetic beauty transcends linguistic barriers, captivating audiences across cultures and generations.

Moral and Ethical Compass:

The Holy Quran serves as a moral and ethical compass for Muslims. It provides clear guidance on issues of personal conduct, social responsibility, and family life. It emphasizes the importance of honesty, integrity, and compassion, while condemning acts of injustice, oppression, and violence. The Quran’s ethical framework offers a foundation for a just and equitable society, guided by the principles of peace, harmony, and mutual respect.

Intellectual and Spiritual Development:

Engaging with the Quran is not merely an academic exercise; it is a transformative journey of self-discovery and spiritual growth. Studying the Quran allows individuals to develop a deeper understanding of their place in the universe and their relationship with God. It fosters critical thinking, encourages moral reflection, and cultivates a sense of inner peace and spiritual fulfillment.

Essay – Visit to a Historical Place

During the summer vacation, our Historical Society arranged a visit to Agra to see the Taj Mahal. A tourist bus was got reserved. We had a safe and comfortable journey to Agra. It was the full moon night when we reached there.

The Taj is a magnificent building, made of white marble. It is situated on the bank of the river Yamuna. It was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaj Mahal. Twenty thousand labourers worked for twenty two years to build it. The main gateway to the Taj is a three-storeyed building. It stands on a platform of red stone.

From there a causeway leads to the monument. The cause way has a water channel, with fountains in the middle and a double row of cypress trees on either side. There is a big white dome in the middle with four stately minarets on its four sides. Verses from holy Quran are graved on walls. Visitors come to see the Taj and read from every stone the story of the true love of the Queen and the Emperor. The beautiful building is surrounded by a garden.

The Taj looks beautiful at any time, but at night it is no doubt, a sight to see. It glitters in the moonlight and looks like a palace of silver. The Taj is, indeed, the loveliest work of art in the whole world. It is a poem is stone. It in one of the seven wonders of the world.

Essay – A Bus Stand Scene

A bus stand presents a very lovely and busy scene. It is like a museum of human faces and fashion. Last Sunday, I went to see off my friend at the bus stand. There was a great rush. Buses were arriving and departing.

The bus for Delhi had not yet arrived. So we had to wait. There was a great rush of passengers. They were waiting for their buses. There was a lot of rushing, pushing shouting and wrangling every where. The ladies were sitting in groups. Children were playing here and there. Vendors and hawkers were selling newspapers and eatables. They were also shouting at the top of their voices. There was a rush at the water tap, tea stalls and book stalls. We went to a tea stall. We took tea.

We bought two books to pass time. There were long queues at the booking windows. Soon our bus arrived. I bought a ticket for my friend. He boarded the bus and got a seat near the window. The driver took his seat. The conductor gave a whistle and the bus started. I wished good-bye to my friend.

It has become very common these days. It is the greatest wonder of science. It gives us sound as well as picture. It provides us entertainment in the comfortable surroundings of our house. We can see T.V. serials, pictures, tele-films, film songs and other entertaining programmes on television.

Essay on The Holy Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم)

Our Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) was born in Makkah in the famous tribe of Quraish. His father, Abdullah died before his birth. So his mother, Amna Bibi looked after him. But she also died when he was only six years old. New, his grandfather, Abdul Muttalib took charge of him, but he did not live long. Finally, his uncle, Abu Talib looked after him and never left him alone in any hardship.

Our Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) married Khadija, a wealthy lady of Makkah when he was twenty-five years old. Hazrat Khadija handed over all her wealth to our Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) to spend for good and noble purposes. He helped the poor and needy. When our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) reached the age of forty he was commanded by Allah, the Almighty to preach Islam. Our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) started preaching that there is no God but Allah who is the creator of the universe and to whom all human beings would return.

The people of Makkah accepted Islam very slowly. In the beginning, only a few people accepted the new religion. The Makkans indeed became the sworn enemy of the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) and his follower. They created all sort of troubles for the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) but he stood firm. At last, they planned to kill the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) and he was compelled to leave for Medina where he was accorded a warm welcome by his followers. But the infidels did not allow him to live even there in peace. They fought several battles in order to wipe out the followers of Islam. However, Allah granted strength to our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) to defeat them and come out successful in his mission.

After ten years stay in Medinah, the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) came back to Makkah with ten thousand of his followers and conquered Makkah. On the day of his conquest, he could severely punish those who caused so much trouble and planned to kill him, but he excused everybody. After that, the new religion prospered by leaps and bounds.

Our Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) returned to his Creator at the age of sixty-three. He left for his followers the Holy Quran and the Sunnah.

Holy Quran Essay

There is an English essay on “My Favorite Book, the Holy Quran” for college students. English essay notes for the advanced second year and tenth-grade students are here. The Quran is the holy book of Muslims. The word “Qur’an” means “reading”.

The Quran is the holy book of Muslims. This is my favorite book. The word “Qur’an” means “reading”. It is a book not written by a man. It was sent by Allah Almighty through our last Prophet (SAW) for the guidance of man. Gabriel was accustomed to carrying God’s message. It is the most widely read book in the world.

The Quran is divided into 30 ‘Paras ‘ and 114 ‘Suras’. Each surah has a different number of verses. Of the 114 Surahs, 92 were revealed in Makkah and 22 in Madinah. The Holy Qur’an consists of 6,616 verses, 77,934 words, and 3, 23,760 letters of Arabic. The first chapter of the book is viewed with special devotion by Muslims. It is called ‘Surah Surah Fatih’. There are seven verses in it. We recite it in our prayers.

The Qur’an provides a complete code of life. It discusses every aspect of life in detail. It tells us what is right and what is wrong. It teaches us the truth, non-violence, love, meditation, compassion, and so on. This holy book is a kind of history. It contains the stories of ancient nations.

The Qur’an is written in Arabic, which is a very powerful language. Her style is very impressive and charming. It is so perfect and lofty that neither men nor jinn can compose verse like it. The book was not only sent to the Arabs, but to the whole world without distinction of color, creed, or caste. The book is our best guide. It is full of wisdom, truth, facts, philosophy, beauty, grace, and love. This book covers all aspects of life and provides guidance on all topics. It is a heavenly holy book for man’s spiritual, social, and personal guidance.

The Quran is an eternal book. God has declared in the Bible that he is responsible for its protection. That is why no one has yet succeeded in altering even the smallest verse of the book. It was compiled during the caliphate of Hazrat Uthman who was interested in its compilation. “Arbab” and other signs were placed on the Holy Book by two disciples of Hazrat Ali (RA) under his guidance. Many Muslims learn this remarkable book by heart. They are called memorizers of the Qur’an. This is the miracle of this book.
