Professor Garlick’s Assignment 2 is an Assignment in Hogwarts Legacy. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Professor Garlick’s Assignment 2 assignment quest.

Location : The Library Annex -> Greenhouses Quest Giver:  Professor Garlick Quest Level:  Level 16 Requirement:  Having Finished  Professor Garlick’s Assignment 1 Reward:  Flipendo, 150XP Mission Info:  Professor Garlick wants me to field test Chinese Chomping  Cabbages, a Mandrake, and a Venomous  Tentacula all at once. She also wants me to grow and harvest a Fluxweed plant. Should I need any seeds or plants, I could visit The Magic Neep or Dogweed and Deathcap. My Field Guide will not guide me through this assignment, but my map could still prove useful.

Objectives:

Grow and harvest Fluxweed

Acquire all three combat plants and use them simultaneously, return to professor garlick, starting location: professor garlick’s assignment 2.

For this, go to Hogsmeade and enter Tomes and Scrolls on the South Side of Hogsmeade. Buy Potting Table with a large pot spellcraft for 1000 Galleons. Now got to the Magic Neep on the west side of Hogsmeade. Buy the Fluxweed Seed. Now go to the Room of Requirement, place the Potting Table somewhere in the room, and grow the Fluxweed, it takes 15 real-time minutes to grow the Fluxweed.

Go to The Library Annex -> Greenhouses and talk to Professor Garlick. She’ll teach you Flipendo now.

This finishes Professor Garlick’s Assignment 2 Assignment Quest in Hogwarts Legacy.

I have tried this twice and all it has done is waste my plants. What is going wrong?

Start with the Venomous Tentacula, followed by the Chinese Chomping Cabbage, and finally, the Mandrake

Hogwarts Legacy Professor Garlick’s Assignment 1

For the quest “Professor Garlick’s Assignment I” from Hogwarts Legacy you should obtain and test a Venomous Tentacula and Mandrake.

Quest Objectives

Obtain and test a venomous tentacula, how to use venomous tentacula, acquire and test a mandrake against multiple enemies at once, attend herbalism classes during the day, return to professor garlick.

These are the quest objectives for Professor Garlick’s Assignment 1:

• Obtain and test a Venomous Tentacula.
• Acquire and test a Mandrake against multiple enemies at once.
• Attend herbalism classes during the day.
• Return to Professor Garlick.

The first step is to get a Venomous Tentacula . The easiest way is to buy the plant from a vendor . Travel to Hogsmeade and find the Dogweed & Deathcap shop north of town.

Beatrice Green, the proprietor of Dogweed & Deathcap, sells various battle tools that include Venomous Tentacula and Mandrake . Visit their store and buy each:

• 1x Venomous Tentacula (600 galleons)
• 1x Mandrake (500 galleons)

The two combat tools will cost you a total of 1,100 galleons.

If you haven’t done the quest Professor Sharp’s Assignment 1 yet, here’s a brief explanation of how to use potions and battle tools (like the Venomous Tentacula):

To use a potion or combat tool, long press the key that allows you to select your potions (e.g. Tab on PC, L1, or LB). Now select the desired item and release the button to equip the potion or battle tool. Then tap the same key (e.g. Tab on PC, L1, or LB) once briefly to use the item.

So to complete the first step of the quest “Professor Garlick’s Task 1” you buy, equip, and use a Venomous Tentacula. You can do this directly in Madame Green’s shop.

Equip the Mandrake. Then look for at least 2 opponents and wait until they are relatively close to you. If you now use the Mandrake (with e.g. Tab, L1, or LB), it will roar and you will also complete the quest step “Acquire and test a Mandrake against multiple enemies at once”.

Now travel back to Hogwarts. The library extension is a good travel destination. It is best to travel directly to the greenhouses. Classes will not start if it is nighttime.

💡 How to skip time in Hogwarts Legacy?

If you have a Hogwarts Legacy quest that can only be completed at a certain time of day, you can make the time pass faster. To do this, open the map and press the hotkey for “Wait”. On the PC it is the hotkey “F”, with a controller e.g. the right thumbstick / analog stick.

Skipping times of day by waiting is useful for several quests, including Ghost of our Love .

Now return to Professor Garlick to complete the quest “Professor Garlick’s Quest 1”. As a reward, you can now learn the Wingardium Leviosa spell . With Wingardium Leviosa you can lift objects and put them down in specific places. You can practice this with the chests that are in the greenhouse. If you move the chest under the stairs, you will find a potion underneath as a small reward.

How to Complete Professor Garlick’s Assignment 1 – Hogwarts Legacy Walkthrough

Assignments given by professors are an extremely important part of the Hogwarts legacy ’s main storyline. They are the perfect option to get some more fun in the game and get valuable rewards. How to Finish Professor Garlick’s Assignment 1 in Hogwarts Legacy

You should find Beatrice Green in Hogsmeade. She is an NPC who will offer to purchase Venomous Tentacle and Mandrake for 1,100 Gold. Even though it is a significant amount of money, be sure it will not be a problem at the later stages of the game. Once you have obtained Venomous Tentacle and Mandrake, feel free to use them and complete the first two objectives.

After that, you should head to the Greenhouse located in Hogwarts Castle. You can attend Herbology class and head to Professor Garlick to finish the assignment.

Professor Garlick’s Assignment 1: General Information 

Professor Garlick’s first assignment is the 31st mission of the main Hogwarts Legacy storyline. It requires you to complete In the Shadows of the Estate quest and provides you with good rewards. By completing the assignment, you will get 150 XP, Wingardium Leviosa, and two tool collections: Venomous Tentacula and Mandrake.

The Flipendo Spell that you will learn from Professor Garlick in this Assignment is a Force Spell that can keep enemies airborne and prolong juggles when combined with Levioso and Accio . This spell can also be used to solve certain puzzles.

Professor Garlick's Assignment 2 Walkthrough

Quest objectives, 1. how to grow and harvest fluxweed.

This Assignment requires you to actually plant Fluxweed and harvest them from the potting table. Fluxweed Seeds can be bought from The Magic Neep in Hogsmeade for 350 Gold.

Before you leave, if you don't have a Potting Table with a Large Pot yet, stop by Tomes and Scrolls on the south part of Hogsmeade and purchase a scroll for one, as Fluxweed need to be planted on a large pot.

Now fast travel to your Room of Requirement, conjure the potting table, and plant the Fluxweed. Come back after 15 minutes and harvest the Fluxweed to complete the objective.

• Venomous Tentacula (1)-600 galleons

You might also evaluate if you want to buy the seeds instead. If you’re going for a build that focuses on Herbology , then you’ll want to keep your items stocked. Planting your own seeds and harvesting them at the Potting Table instead of buying items will be more economical in the long term if that’s the case. Though, it all can be an investment of its own.

Now that you have all the items, you can proceed in two ways.

Grow and Harvest Fluxweed

If you thought you were done spending money, then I’m sorry for this next step.

First, you will need to acquire Fluxweed Seeds which can be purchased at the Magic Neep for 350 galleons. Then you need to head over to Tomes and Scrolls and buy the Spellcraft , Potting Table with a Large Pot for 1000 galleons. Finally, fast travel to the Room of Requirement , so you can plant the Fluxweed Seeds.
