He gained prominence in the Nigerian entertainment space after he was unveiled as the newest signee in the  Marlians Records .

Zinoleesky , the young talented artist, had the privilege of growing up alongside his parents in Agege, a lively neighborhood in Lagos State. He was born into a Muslim family and had a strong foundation in his Islamic studies, diligently learning and completing his primary and secondary education.

From a young age,  Zinoleesky  displayed a deep passion for music. Immersed in a musical environment, he surrounded himself with inspiring melodies and found influence in the works of renowned artists such as  Wizkid, Olamide, Davido,  and  Kizz Daniel . His musical taste expanded as he listened to various genres like Afrobeats, Highlife, Pop, Juju, and Fuji.

With growing desires to create music,  Zinoleesky  began experimenting with rapping, initially mumbling verses that gradually transformed into confident and skillful deliveries. During his teenage years, he used his music to express his personal experiences, particularly highlighting his challenges growing up.

He received his primary education at “Lively Kiddies Nur&Pry School,” where he obtained his first School Leaving Certificate. Continuing his education, he enrolled at a government-owned institution called State High School Agege, where he completed his secondary education and obtained his Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE).

Zinoleesky’s  musical journey took root during his early teenage years while attending high school. Starting as a freestyle artist, he regularly shared his freestyles on social media platforms, captivating his classmates and earning popularity within his school and neighborhood.

During his high school years,  Zinoleesky  formed close friendships with two like-minded individuals named  Lil Frosh  and  Ibradosky . Sharing a passion for music,  Lil Frosh  and  Ibradosky  were talented rappers who formed a clique. The trio collaborated, and their name quickly gained recognition, not only in Agege but also beyond. They released freestyles and covers of popular hit songs, showcasing their skills and attracting a growing fan base.

Zinoleesky’s  talent caught the attention of top Nigerian artist Kizz Daniel when he created a cover of  Kizz Daniel’s  hit song “Fvck You.” After being reposted by  Kizz Daniel , the cover garnered massive recognition, opening doors for Zinoleesky and leading to various record deal offers. Notably,  Zinoleesky  declined an offer from  Davido , one of Nigeria’s biggest celebrities and artists, for reasons known best to him.

In December 2019,  Zinoleesky  signed a record deal with  Marlians Records , owned by  Naira Marley , a prominent Nigerian rapper. He was officially unveiled as a signee of the Marlians family during the Marlians fest, alongside other artists such as  Mohbad, C Blvck,  and  Fabian Blu .

Zinoleesky’s  career took off with the release of his debut EP, titled “Chrome,” featuring six tracks. The EP included popular songs like  “Kilofeshe,” “Angeli,” “Wo Wa Mi,” “Ma Pariwo,” “Ni Tori E,” and “Bullet.”  

Following his EP’s success,  Zinoleesky  continued to make waves in the industry. In December 2021, he was featured in  Lil Kesh’s  song “Don’t Call Me.” In 2022,  Zinoleesky  released hit singles like “Gone Far” and “Rocking,” with the music video for “Rocking” being directed by  Ahmad Mosh  and released on February 18.

Zinoleesky  has collaborated with several prominent Nigerian celebrities, including  BNXN (formerly Buju) , on the song “Kilometer,” released in April 2022. In August 2022, he teamed up with  Tiwa Savage  for the song “Jaiye Foreign.” Additionally,  Zinoleesky  dropped another hit single, “Call of Duty,” in August 2022, further solidifying his presence in the industry.

He has further released several chart-topping songs afterward and featured with several other Nigerian stars, including  Victony ,  Adekunle Gold , and others.

After maintaining a low profile following the tragic loss of his friend and colleague, Zino has emerged from the shadows with a powerful comeback. On December 14, 2023, he dropped a hot new single titled “ Sakara ,” marking his return to the music scene. This latest track comes under the banner of his record label, Marlian Record, and promises to be a compelling addition to his musical repertoire.

The Singer Has Never Been to the University

Zinoleesky is one of the few Nigerian artists who, through their breakthroughs, continue to prove to the world that talents are not only learned in institutions of higher learning but can as well be possessed right from birth. While growing up, he attended Lively Kids nursery and primary school, Agege, Lagos.

For his secondary education, he enrolled at Boys secondary school, Agege, Lagos, where he obtained his Senior School Certificate. Zino is not a university graduate. He started pursuing a career in music quite early, and after he finished secondary school, he decided not to further his education but to go into music fully.

He Developed Passion For Music At a Tender Age

In an interview with Buzz Nigeria , the young Nigerian music talent revealed that he had a set of friends in his primary school days. They used to sing other musicians’ songs as if they were theirs and also engage in a break dancing party as they sing. This they continued to do till he completed his primary education and parted ways with those particular friends of his.

Then, he moved to Boys secondary school, where he met Ibradosky and Lil Frosh , and they subsequently became friends. The three friends would usually challenge themselves with freestyle music and post the videos on their Instagram pages, not knowing that it would one day bring them to fame. On one of the occasions, Zinoleesky posted the video on his social media page, and it caught the attention of Kizz Daniel; he liked it and immediately followed Zinoleesky on Instagram. This singular act was what Zino said motivated him and his friends Ibradosky and Lil Frosh to put more genuine effort into music.

Zinoleesky Rejected Davido’s Offer to Join His DMW Record Label

In 2019, when the three rising stars began to gain massive attention in the music industry, famous Nigerian musician Davido offered them a deal to join his record label. Still, Zinoleesky turned down the offer while his friends Lil Frosh and Ibradosky accepted. He was criticized and attacked for being the first upcoming artist to reject the same offer from Davido.

However, Zinoleesky disclosed his reason for rejecting the offer after signing to Naira Marley’s record label, Marlian Music, alongside three other upcoming artists, Fabian Blu, C Black, and Mohbad. He said that he felt he does not belong to the DMW but has now found where he belongs to. Though some still dragged him, many others applauded his guts and commended his firm stand of going for exactly what he wants.

Meanwhile, Zino has been close friends with his boss Naira Marley ever since he signed to his record label. Naira Marley appeared on stage with the four young artists at the 2019 Marlians Fest, held at Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos.

Zinoleesky Dominated the Nigerian Music Industry in 2020 with his Hit Song Ma Pariwo

Zinolessky is super talented, strong-spirited, and hardworking, which has given him a decent place in the highly competitive Nigerian music industry. After some years of struggle, Zinoleesky landed his debut in 2019 with the song Caro, and since then, he has released over 10 singles and an album titled Chrome (Eccentric) EP. He had his big break in 2019 after he dropped the single Ma Pariwo produced by Tripss.

The song released on 6th July 2020 has arguably become one of the biggest Nigerian songs of the year. Currently, it has about 15 million streams on Audiomack and over 2.7 million views on YouTube. Chrome Eccentric , his debut recording, was released one year later in 2020, featuring singles like " Mapariwo " and " Kilofeshe ." " Mapariwo " earned Zinoleesky a nomination for "Rookie of the Year" at the Headies in 2020. The next time Zinoleesky received a Headies nomination — this time for "Next Rated" — the year was 2022. He released his first full-length album, Grit and Lust , at the end of that year, along with singles like " Call of Duty ," " Last Time ," and " YanYanYan ." One year later, he teamed up with fellow Nigerian artist Adekunle Gold for the collaborative single " Party No Dey Stop ," which appeared on Gold's album Tequila Ever After . " Party No Dey Stop " was a hit not only in Nigeria, but also in areas like the UK, Canada, and Ireland, where the song appeared on the Top 200 Shazam charts of all three countries. In America, " Party No Dey Stop " even became a Billboard hit, debuting at number 40 on the Top 40 Radio Mainstream R&B / Hip-Hop chart.

Zinoleesky whose real name is Oniyide Azeez , was born on November 21, 1995, and raised in Lagos State but originally hails from Ogun State, Nigeria. He was born in the Mainland district of Lagos city and spent his formative years residing in Agege Local Government Area. He studied at Lively Kiddies Nursery and Primary School for his elementary school education. He obtained his First School Leaving Certificate from the institution.

Apparently, Zinoleesky’s music career took off after Kizz Daniel followed him on Instagram only seconds after posting an Instagram video of one of his raps. Fortune finally smiled on Zinoleesky, and he began to receive collaboration requests from established acts. In 2019, he was offered a record deal by the DMW label , owned by Davido . However, he rejected the offer and chose to remain an independent artist for a while. Zinoleesky was eventually signed by Naira Marley into Marlian Music in January 2020, alongside the likes of Mohbad , Fabian and Cblack . 

To foster the growth of his career, Zinoleesky began to record and post freestyle rap videos on social media. As the weeks advanced, Zinoleesky became a force to reckon with in the underground rap community, as most of his rap videos were going viral and generating massive engagement on the social media app – Instagram. The young Agege artiste had grown a large fanbase in a short while.

Zinoleesky, who came from a middle-class family, now resides in a posh apartment house in Lekki and owns two exotic cars.

Zinoleesky is rumoured to be in a relationship with Shubomi Fashola , Naira Marley‘s sister. The duo were seen kissing in a video that surfaced online some months back.

The singer, Zinoleesky who is known for calling himself “ Show Killer ” and “ Problem Child “, was arrested alongside Mohbad by the NDLEA for possessing illegal drug substances. The arrest was made in February 2022, and the artists were released after days in detention.

Zinoleesky was born on 21 November, 1995 to Mr. and Mrs. Azeez in Lagos State but originally hails from Ogun State, Nigeria. [5] [6] He was raised in Agege, Lagos State and completed his primary education at Lively Kiddies Nursery and Primary School. He had his secondary education at Boys Secondary School Agege, Lagos State. [7]

Zinoleesky discovered his passion for music as he approached adolescence. He officially started his music journey as a freestyle rapper but became popular in 2017 after his videos went viral on the internet. [8] [9]

Several reports showed that he was offered a record deal by Davido's DMW label but refused to accept the offer and chose to work as an independent artist. [10] [11] On 23 December, 2019, he was signed to the record label "Marlian Records" which is owned and managed by Nigerian singer, Naira Marley. [12]

Zinoleesky released his first studio album titled "Chrome Eccentric" in 2020, a year after he was signed into the Marlian Records label. The album comprised six tracks, including the songs "Mapariwo" and "Kilofeshe". [13] In September 2020, Ma Pariwo ranked as No. 14 on Apple Music Chart and No. 12 on YouTube Chart. [14]

A year after the release of his first album, Zinoleesky created a remix to the hit song "Kilofeshe" featuring Maryorkun and South African singer, Busiswah. [15]

In December 2022, he released his first EP album "Grit and Lust", containing tracks such as Call of Duty and YanYanYan. [16]
